The pool was still under renovation and we were so disappointed since we opted to stay here because of the pool. It could have been fine only if the room was great to feel compensated for the money that spent but to our surprise, the room (specially the restroom) needs renovation as well. 🤭😵 The restroom was so dirty, dilapidated, clogged toilet bowl, etc. Their breakfast wasn’t that great as well. You need to pay Php250 per extra person and I am telling you, IT’S NOT WORTH IT SO DONT PAY THE PRICE BETTER GO OUT AND EAT IN YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT. Have been staying in this hotel for 6 years now every time we visit CDO but I guess this is the right time to search for another place. 😒🤭

2 nights. Booked the hotel for the pool since I had 7 kids to look after. Arrived to find out the pool CLOSED, started renovation 2 weeks prior. No elevator. Room is big and old. AirCon made tapping noises all night. Shower was big walk in, best part. Wifi kept disconnecting every few minutes and you have to manually add user/pswd for each log on! The 2nd n 3rd day the wifi was not working, staff confirmed and reported to service center. Breakfast was limited, rice, fried egg, veggie and two local dishes. Powder coffee. The Free Kids have to pay 250P for additional breakfast. FYI, you have to request maid service each day, do not expect it. Expected more for the $50 a night room. No plans to return.

My flight got canceled in CDO and the airlines I booked with placed us in this hotel. I was honestly disappointed at first because I had a very bad experience here two years ago. But, it has apparently improved by a huge deal since. The staff was better, the breakfast was a buffet, they had brewed coffee, and the coffee shop was pleasant. I guess pick a room with a balcony. It is so much better than the one without. This reminds me of the glory days of the old Cagayan de Oro

Although it's not located in the downtown area, but still my experience in Country Village hotel is 9.5 out of 10. By availing an overnight package (we availed a 4d3n) you have free breakfast on top of it, and can also make use of the pool. Breakfast is a 5 out of 5, rooms are 5 out of 5 also even though there wasn't a hot n' cold shower, but still it's good. Room is well ventilated with an AC unit, TV channels are plenty and clear. Although you have to ride a taxi going to the downtown area, or walk going to the highway to ride a jeepney (well, me and my partner enjoyed walking, who doesn't love a good exercise?) the location was fine for us considering if ever we were in the downtown area, we wouldn't have enjoyed a peaceful area like the location of the hotel, free breakfast, and a pool. If ever there would be a place like that in the downtown area hotels, I'm sure it would cost a lot. :)
