I booked a Christening Reception party at this hotel in late July. The Sales/Marketing guy provided us with competitive prices on three menu options. But when we wanted to discuss in more detail later he did not answer his mobile. When we dropped by to confirm the booking his promised discount turned into nothing more than the opportunity to pay 50% up front and the balance on the day.By this time it was too late to quibble.
The large function room was beautifully prepared complete with a welcoming message for our baby on the stage. The food was served up as a buffet and we had agreed that any spare food would be ours to take away at the finish. We have very strong suspicions that not all the food was put out for guests. Even though we were about 20 down on numbers that was not reflected by the amount of spare food at the end.
One of the perks for booking there was a bonus of 5 free vouchers to use in the pool. Although the attractive pool, whirlpool bath and kid's slide were impressive features the experience was spoilt by a pool attendant who was extremely rude and petty in his interpretation of what was considered to be appropriate swimming attire.
To make matters worse this staff member was joined by his colleagues in flirting with some young women in our group and asking for cell phone numbers !!
The only redeeming element of customer service came from charming front desk ladies.
Although the hotel grounds were spacious and the pool impressive I could not in all honesty recommend this place because of the indifferent service and attitude from some staff.

The rooms is average however the staffs are accomodating. The bathrroom fixtures are kinda old. Big parking space. The pool is good. Breakfast is on their menu. Overall rating is value for money. You will feel good after a goodnight sleep, breakfast and at a cheap price.

I unexpectedly visited CDO due to my elder brother death on 3rd week of March 2012. I stayed in Country Village Hotel for 11 days. The hotel do not have a good restaurant and the foods are not good and expensive. The location is not convenient to public transit, restaurants and malls. Although they have a small enclose bar in which I used to hanged out and a cozy place to wait for friends to dine in. The swimming pool were crowded with locals and the noise had reached to my room. The hotel do not have an elevator so, I have to claims the stairs up to the third floor to reach my room. In using the swimming pool,,there's no exception you have to pay 5 pesos for each towels. I am out most of the days and nights for the daily vigil so I seldom use my room.. Three times in a row at around 6:30 a.m. I came back to my room just to take my shower and change my clothes, while taking my shower the flow of the water stopped then few minutes later a dripped of liquid mud came out from shower tube...a dark brown mud...disgusting...I reported it to the front desk and the front desk clerk told me that they frequently experiencing it since after the typhoon sendong. I left the hotel without brushing my teeth and having my shower.

We choose Country Village because of its wide swimming pool knowing that truly our daughter will love it and enjoy. However, on our first inquiry at the Front desk we were already disappointed cause we waited for more than an hour since as per attendant the said room will be vacant after an hour and we waited but no one come over to inform us t\until we asked that the room is already available and guess what no one occupied that room. Therefore, what are their intentions? Since standard rooms is quite cheaper part of their marketing to give the guests such excuses to upgrade? The room was all good but quite old with cockroaches crawling at the CR. What disappoints us? The pool policy. . .
Imagine they do no allow swimming in the morning and up until 8:00pm wherein most guests wanted to have swimming on such given time. Just to asked? Is the pool merely site viewing and decorations and that limited for use? Ang mahal pa, imagine P150.00 tas hindi naman pala ganon ka ganda, and while naliligo ka pa pag 8:00pm na pinapatayan ka ng shower at ilaw, tsk! Very turn off? I really regret we stayed there. Very POOR in customer service. They do not know how to satisfy their customers. Even their food is not good so with the services of their crew.

I don't usually give bad ratings because I am easy to please with accomodations. But, this one is really terrible. This hotel is actually cheap. The prices they post on the internet (like here) is around 30% higher than their privileged rates. As of to date, the hotel is undergoing some major rennovations. So, I could probably let things pass with the inconveniences and aesthetics of the facilities. During my stay, the flooring of the hotel room was unfinished, some lights were not working, the hot and cold showers were not working, and the cable television has very limited to no channels. I am hoping that they be able to fix this after the rennovations. What made it more terrible actually is the service. Really terrible service. They should either fire their staff or train them properly.

we booked 3 nights , this is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel , once we got there , no one to assist with our luggage, then the receptionist took at least 20 min. to attend us , all the staff are hanging around doing no job but staring at the guests , then after we paid and about to move to upstairs room , they said no elevators , then she called for help , no one showed up , so we had to carry our luggage ourselves to 3rd floor , to be shocked , the executive suits we paid for is no hot water for showering , then no pressure on the water , its hard to wash even your face , the tap was so dirty , then we called for help , it took almost 3 hours for someone to come in to help with the water pressure and it didnt work , they couldnt help with no hot water , then all faucets are dirty and not functional and broken , so old , the staff were trying their best to help out but sound like no one was able to help ?
then lots of ants in the room , which brought a little GIGO lizards to feed on them inside your executive room ? , the last night we slept with no air con , as their aircon was crushed over night , they tried to move us to another room to sort those problems out , but it was too small for us and no patio which we paid for , so we decline moving sleeping over night in such hot weather with no aircon ?
the Tv was old tubed not flat tv type soooo old , and the remotes are out of batteries , everything was unplugged even the cooler when we open the door , not ready at all for any welcoming guests ?
Now , for the WI FI , it worked only the 1st night then it vanished , when we called , they kept promising to reconnect asap and till we left in 2 days , it was not up and running ??????
the food was over priced , the quality of food was so and so ? , i paid almost 3000 P just for a dinner of 4 adults and the server doesnt know anything of their menu or even the drinks , no modifications or what so ever if you like to substitute any item.
swimming pool was ok , but , when i asked to use the Sauna , they charged me more for that , then when the kids started using the pool , they came up with a new story that you need to pay more for each head as you are allowed only for 3 adults .
time to leave , no one helped to call a cab for you nor loading the luggage .
the whole thing is a big joke and my advise to all of you ... do your home work before you go there , there are a lot of good and cheaper newer options in CDO to stay and to enjoy , this place is just a waste

i had my 18th bday held at country village..they really mess up on everything..it was suppose to be my best night ever but they mess everything up.
they had another party together with mine. We rented the place until midnight but all my visitors went home by 8. We barely couldnt hear our music playing cause of the other party and when we ask why did they book another party when we book first? there excuse was it was a very last minute..they keep telling us to keep our music low while the other party had a band and full blast music. The service sucks. They left my visitor on there own and didnt serve food. They keep charging us with a lot things. Never ever go to this place.

Worst customer service ever. Their hotel policies are not customer friendly, with so many restrictions. Upon check-in we were already charged for the 4 pcs donut brought by my son! I have been to many hotels, 5 stars and not, both local and foreign countries, and this hotel was worst. Infants would be charged as extra person as to hotel policy, that according to the receptionist, that is to discourage bringing in infants for the rooms not to have bad smell. Considering their location which is not readily accessible by public transport except for taxis and prone to flood outside the road with heavy rains, they should have find ways to satisfy their customers. Rooms are very basic, breakfast was plain, plate-in.

I own a travel agency. I send via email the deposit slip for our guests' full payment but got no response from them. I called and called them and they said that they will check the email and will call me back. I never got a return call from them. When our guests checked out, they hold them and was told that their accommodation is not yet paid.

For our next guests, I called them if 2 family rooms are available for 3 nights. They said yes so I immediately sent a booking order. I got no response so I emailed again on the 3rd day. I called on the 4th day and was advised that they didn't receive the emails and the family rooms are not anymore available. We have already committed the rooms to our guests and they screwed up everything. Now we transferred our guests to other hotel and will never deal with this hotel again.

I booked a family function for 80 people. NEVER will I recommend this facility. Because of this function they gave us a free room. The room has NO towels, the sink is clogged up you cannot use it at all. I paid 8 rooms, some of them accg. to my family the TV and the airconditioning are not working. NO stores available around the area. During the dinner time only 62people came. My sister in law came 35min. late with 11 people in her family. NO FOOD available for them anymore. I need to order food for them this is additional payment for me. The day before I told the info desk that I have to bring wine (4 bottles) and they said NO problem. As our dinner is about to finish one guy came and charged me an additional 30% for bringing the wine in which they never told me. Be sure that if you want to use this facility put additional money in your pocket. The food was horrible!!! They claim that the pancit (noodle) has a shrimp but you need to use a magnifying glass to find those shrimps.
