Detailed Reviews
Air Conditioning Issues:
The incessant tapping sound coming from the air conditioning unit made it impossible to relax and get a good night's sleep. It felt like a constant reminder of the poor maintenance standards of the hotel.
Unwelcoming Staff:
The lack of a warm welcome and the apparent absence of initiative to assist guests by the hotel guards contributed to an unwelcoming atmosphere. It's disappointing when basic hospitality gestures are missing.
Room Cleanliness Concerns:
The presence of leftover food emitting a foul odor in the rooms highlighted the poor attention to cleanliness standards. It's alarming to encounter such unsanitary conditions during a stay at this hotel.
Terrible Customer Service:
The overall customer service experience was extremely DISSAPOINTING! From unresponsive staff to a lack of proper assistance or resolution to issues, it felt like guests were not valued or respected during their stay.
Stairs
No other option for elderly people.

So far the only elegant and decent restaurant in Tagoloan Misamis Oriental is found at Paula's Hotel. They serve food quickly and the crew are cordial. The hotel can also accommodate different occasions like wedding, birthday, and conference.

Too many disasters to list! Stay ANYWHERE ELSE! Your health and hygiene will be at risk!
1) Whatever pesticide the hotel uses is so strong, it burns your eyes and throat!
2) Water seldom works and when it does work, it smells horrible and is brown or black!
3) The mattresses and pillows are filthy and disgusting under the sheets!
4) Stray cats breed, howl and roam the second and third floor hallways after dark!
5) No toilet seat in any of the rooms!
6) Toilet does not flush. Told to use the bucket!
The ONLY reason this hotel exists is because it is the ONLY hotel in Tagoloan! Travel a little farther and keep your family SAFE! We have stayed at many others and they are ALL much better, cost less and SAFE for you and your family!
Go to Coco Bay, Chali, Monte Richi, Sophie Red, etc... ANYWHERE rather than Paula's Hotel!!! It should be called Paula's Dump!!!

We’ve got a suite and it is horrible. Floor tiles are detached already from the floor and you can feel how uneven it is. Not advisable for senior citizens and it might cause some safety issues. Inside the room - bed linens are good but the toilet bowl is clogged. The shower head fixture is detached already from the wall with black deposits at its spray head. Bidet is clogged as well and you have to ask for the towel at housekeeping. Imagine if you go straight to shower not knowing this is available. The videoke from the nearby restaurant is loud plus you can hear the footsteps on the floor above your room - i never had a good sleep. The room curtain is not fully black-out - you can see the people outside and they can see you as well. The noise from cat and dog within their vicinity is another downside for this hotel. My suggestion is get a good one in CDO... travelling 1 hour from Tagoloan is quite worth it rather than staying here. By the way - people are quite nice they are just not supported with the right stuff to perform their job very well.

I was informed by my wife that our daughter & her hubby had a reservation at nearby Paula's Hotel for dinner last February 14, 2017. Upon arriving from work, we proceeded to Paula's Hotel together with our sweet granddaughter Xiana. We were led to our table and soon dinner was served. The food were extra affordable and the servings were generous enough. The mango float for instance, their single serving can actually cater to 3-4 persons. Crispy pata is of course, C-R-I-S-P-Y!!!
Ambiance is so great in an easy cool night. Service is very satisfactory. Parking is easy. They have their own gas station, too (Fuel Ventures).
An expansion is ongoing and is nearing completion. So it is expected to cater to a lot more people. Function halls are there, too.
It is located along the highway on downtown Tagoloan - a municipality bounding Bugo, the last barangay of neighboring Cagayan de Oro City- just an hour ride from CdO, actually.
