This is our first time to ever try ‘bed and breakfast’ and Casita Aurora B&B did not disappoint us at all. Love, love, love the eclectic and chic design right from the very moment we entered the casita. I feel transported to the very essence of filipino authentic hospitality. You can tell they put so much love and effort on the property. Designs and decor were pleasant and unpretetious (not to mention the nice greenery at the entrance and the courtyard of the main house). Our room, with 2 twin beds, was small but well appointed and clean. I love the bathroom tiles, it feels rubberized (if that’s the term). The hosts were beyond amazing. They were patient enough to wait for us as we had a major car breakdown along the way. They’re very personable and friendly and went above and beyond to cater to our needs (by the way, thanks for being patient with us - our constant request for potable water refill and the 5 am morning walk we failed to mention). The roof top has an amazing view of Mayon (we checked early in the morning, haven’t tried in the evening though). If you’re looking for a memorable stay while in Legazpi City, look no further, this is the place to be. I’ll highly recommend to my family and friends. Indeed, we came as guests and left as friends…. Dios Mabalos😍…
Martin, Elizabeth and their family bring you in to their world with a clean and wonderful facility, great recommendations of things to do and trusted associates to do them with. Their kitchen is always open to keep things in their pantry or fridge, and their staff is helpful— good cooking too. Their casita is replete with sweet oil paintings from a local artist. The balcony is peaceful with a view of the mighty Mayon, the 7000’ behemoth cone that watches over Legazpi. It is by far the most breathtaking volcano we have ever seen, and it morphs into a new view every ten minutes. We were even invited to their family’s New Year’s Eve party. If you come to Legazpi, which is a don’t miss life bucket list place, then Casita Aurora will add sweetness to the memory.
My friend and I decided to take an overnight bus trip to Legaspi, our base for our three days adventure in Albay. I booked Casita online on the day of our trip. We were lucky that a room with twin beds was available. The good thing about Casita in addition to its ambience was the host, Elizabeth who went out of her way to accommodate our request for a very early check-in (8am) where check-in is normally at 2pm. She makes you feel at home. Location was perfect, central to everything & the room in itself was comfortable and clean. Wifi was good & breakfast was just right. The highlight was the perfect view of Mt Mayon at the rooftop terrace where you can chillax with wine or some drinks! Would likely be back should I visit Albay again!
It was so cozy and they have a very accomodating staff. During the breakfast the owner of the casita was the one who entertained us. They even give souvenir from the Casita Aurora. The place is accessible to public transportation and near the Cathedral Church.
Home away from home. This is the description that fits best to Casita Aurora. We were exhausted when we arrive at the place, from work meetings at different locations but the moment we stepped in the front door I knew that we'll be having a good stay there. The room is spacious enough and I love the vintage details of the place as whole. Love the garden view from our window. But the most memorable part is the woven blanket which made me missed my grandmas. I had the best sleep with that blanket. We were met by Ma'am Elizabeth during breakfast and chatted for a while and her homemade guava jam made us skip our lunch. As frequent travelers, we prefer small places over the fancy hotels because nothing can beat that comfort feel of a home. We promised ourselves, that whenever we find ourselves in Legazpi City, Casita Aurora will definitely be our Home.…
If you are staying in Legazpi, you cannot go past this beautiful bed & breakfast. The rooms are spacious and well presented. The service is very efficient and always friendly. Thanks to Elizabeth and her team for an enjoyable stay.
Casita Aurora is such a beautiful place to stay in Albay. Within a day of our arrival, the boyfriend has made up his mind that he can leave everything and live in Albay if we could find a home like Casita Aurora. The place was immaculately clean and tastefully designed. There was a feeling of calmness and peace in the house. The boyfriend and I are usually up and about when we travel, but this place made us sleep in maybe half of the time we were there; and we actually felt rested after the trip. The owners were amazing! They took time out to chat and get to know us. And they gave great recommendations for food and places to visit. They even arranged a driver to take us around the Albay. Plus I loved the coffee! An area for improvement for me, though, would be the showers. The pressure was quite weak. I do understand this is part of their efforts towards conservation and is very much appreciated; but I need the pressure because of the amount of hair on my head. It being weak took me longer to shampoo my thick hair. And I just really love to shower, and I didn't enjoy it as much here.Everything else was 👌 👌 👌…
Casita Aurora feels just like home... every time I visit Legazpi and stay at Casita, I feel the warm welcome, assured that I’m in a safe and happy place where guests are taken cared of by the excellent staff and it’s owners. Very clean rooms (each room has its own toilet & shower!), comfortable bed, safe neighborhood (very accessible & very near the airport!) and budget-friendly rates!
We happened to book this Bed and Breakfast via a friend with no previous knowledge. How lucky we were. Wonderfully situated in the centre of Legaspi the roof terrace overlooked the perfect cone of the Volcano. Arriving by taxi the dwelling appeared to be ordinary, but once the doors were opened and we were able to sit on the terrace overlooking the Volcano we realised we had food a gem The owners are delightful and friendly and the cook is wonderful offering a Philippine take on breakfast but yet providing a European option. There are some wonderful restaurants in walking distance although the owner will need to book and direct you. One particular restaurant is a unique "hole in the wall" Indian type restaurant with few tables and is incredibly rustic but had some of the best Indian food we have encountered anywhere.…
We had the good fortune to stay at Casita Aurora in Legazpi City last month!! Centrally located and a short trip from the airport, Casita Aurora provided us with unequaled hospitality in an artistic and creative environment. Our hosts, Martin & Elizabeth Roces made us feel welcome and extremely comfortable. The rooms were extremely comfortable with private baths and great air-conditioning. The gardens are extraordinary and the decor is exceptional. We highly recommend the Casita Aurora and plan on returning in the future!!!! The Roceses are able to help with suggestions and their great knowledge of Legazpi and environs. Breakfast at the Casita was wonderful and the staff really went the extra mile to be helpful!! One of our group celebrated his birthday and the Casita staff made it really special!!!!…
