As in all hotels in Bicol, the Oriental Albay is overpriced, and there is always something that doesn’t work properly. This time it was the internet in my room and the lift. However, this hotel stands out by the kindness of its team and the (comparative) quality of its breakfast buffet. Despite being a country with wonderful fruits, do not expect to find bananas on this buffet for example. The room was clean and tidy, despite a very limited set of amenities: no shower gel, not cotton buds. The restaurant , which I tried for 2 diners, is good and offers generous portions. Avoid to book a room on street side as it can be noisy in the morning.
