Cheap price but definitely not cheap stay. My stay at this place was super pleasant. The owners are very responsive and accomodating. The place is new and clean. I stayed in a 4-bed dormitory and the room was spacious. Even the toilet is spacious. Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Good view of Mayon on the roof deck. Clean sheets. Comes with a towel and a soap. Clean toilet. There's hot and cold water and refrigerator. There are lockers too.

Hsd an amazing time here. Nice big clean room, good breakfast, very helpful owner and a great roof terrace with a great view of the volcano. Everything and more than what I hope to have. Very recommended.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Legazpi, i will recommend JDL. The room is spacious and the clean. I also commend Ms. Summershine for her warm welcome. Everytime i check in with inns i first check the comfort room althought its a shared bathroom it is still clean and maintained, even it's in the 2nd floor still the water pressure is good. They have a roof deck that has the view of Mt.Mayon that is perfect with your breakfast. Surely i'll stay again here when i visited Legazpi again

The "owner" Summer is extremely arrogant and presumptuous, not able to accept any comment. I booked a prived room but at night I found out it was a dorm. No coffee or tea included in the "free breakfast". Wifi never worked.

The Best and unexpected perfect accommodation that I got from JDL Residences Hostel for 3 days and 2 nights (May 17-19, 2019). Thank you Summer and Lawrence the owner, manager and handling everything to have comfortable, neat, well kept hostel. Very humble and kind people, I highly recommend the hostel for local and foreign guest especially backpackers. Don't miss out the authentic and with personal touch "Binutong" - steamed sticky rice in coconut milk with their homemade hot chocolate. I'm so grateful for the very low accommodation daily rate with free breakfast either you got non-aircon which cost only Php 350 and AC Room. You will enjoy the perfect view of Magayon Mayon anytime of the day at the roofdeck. 100% recommended, and will go back with friends when in Legazpi Bicol. God bless and continue serving strangers with love and patience.

Stayed here for one night as a solo traveller. Made to feel very welcome in a very secure, clean place that is close to the airport and the main mall. Staff are lovely, as is the free breakfast and the view from the roof deck is incredible.

In March 2023, my aspiration of travelling to the Bicol region to see the grandeur of Mount Mayon was actualized. There were a number of hotel/hostel options to choose from when I was browsing a few websites; but the moment I saw JDL Residences Hostel, I immediately dropped all other options in mind. First, the picture of the facade attracted my attention; and when I reached the property, I wasn't disappointed. It has well-painted wide gates, a spacious front parking area, and a quiet and decent neighbourhood. Indeed, it is a very good place within a subdivision. The owners and their staff are truly good-hearted. On a scale of 1-10, the cleanliness of the whole hostel scores the highest, i.e.10. For the politeness of their hardworking staff, 10 as well; and for the facilities and overall comfort that I had experienced, I would give a score of 8.5 as it was just because the air-conditioning system was not in a state of readiness to operate. Standing electric fans are available, though. It is a score of 10 for value for money. Although the room allotted for my 7 nights/8 days of stay has 3 bunk beds for 6 pax, I was the only one who occupied it all throughout the week. However, I would have been happier if I had companions. All in all, I had a mega amazing stay in JDL Residences Hostel. Lastly, but the most wonderful blessing I had was having viewed from their rooftop _ the Mayon Volcano with its perfect cone and symmetry. To Ms. Summershine and family, to the staff Jerome and Jomar, THANK YOU very much for my enjoyable stay in your property. I pray and faithfully declare and claim for YOUR HOTEL _ more guests, more blessings, and double portions of rewards from God.

Excellent Service! Friendly staff particularly Ms.Summer. We enjoyed our stay, very clean and helpful for assisting us for everything from activities and providing a vehicle for us to the airport. Strongly recommended also good breakfast on rooftop with stunning view on the volcano.

I stayed several times at JDL Residence while travelling around in the area and I loved my stay each and every time. The place is pretty new, absolutely clean and the owners are super nice, always available for a nice chat and help wherever they can. The included breakfast is a nice filipino breakfast which changes every other day and can be taken on the roof which is a nice hangout spot and offers a fantastic view of Mt. Mayon. Restaurants, malls and bus terminals are just a 10min walk away. All in all I highly recommend and I would definately stay again! Thanks guys!
