The room was dark and dingy. They used thick curtains as the room was facing the street and the afternoon sun was strong. The bathroom could use some renovating as the tiles were chipped .
Bed was big and comfortable .
Location was ok as it was walking distance to a major mall.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast buffet was average, nothing great.

Arrived in Lagazpi from CEBU on a PAL twin prop Bombardier which hold about 20 people, great flight- only one hour and a light snack and coffee thrown in. Airport taxi driver suggested Lotus Blu Hotel ( only 6 months old) so said yes as I'm always up for fairly new hotel experience and one that is close to the city centre.
Room cost was 3,200 peso per night, the room itself was impressive, queen bed was weirdly quite hard .. pillows (all 4) were fantastic as in big and held their shape. Bar Fridge stocked to the max and nothing cold as I'm not sure the thermostat was working correctly- anyway didnt matter coz as a rule I never touch the bar fridge or the condiments they offer in room. Wifi was great..speed was great and I was able to do business where I needed to. My room (302) had a really great dual system aircon/heater. worked really well and was easy to navigate withthe touch of a finger on screen. Plenty of cupboard space for hanging clothes, Cable TV was great - 55cm screen, lighting was easy to operate and dim where needed. Staff are lovely and accommodating to your needs.
Now the bad pointers - Drifting cigarette smoke. My room (302) sits directly above the 'outside smoking' area, and unfortunately the secondhand smoke somehow wafts its way up and makes its way inside my room. It's just a faint odour but enough to get your senses reeling and very annoying all the same. The hotel needs to rectify this issue as soon as possible and I will be raising it with them before I leave.

Second issue -Drainage smells. - The smell of sewerage in drains in the bathroom of 302 is very afronting. Staff have tried to mask the smell with bleach and even perfumed room spray - but to no avail. I ended up placing a wet hand towel over the drain cover. I think its a problem with the piping works and junctions so I'd suggest a few extra dollars and a good plumber might help fix the proble. The smell is at first quite overwhelming but if you keep the bathroom dood closed it doesnt effect the rest of the room.

Overall a good experience.. Great front of office staff, friendly, professional and good looking and well informed with knowledge should you need to seek out a place...nice rooms, great hot water and good pressure. Housekeeping staff very friendly and good at keeping the rooms clean and keeping the room replenished with shampoo, soaps, toilet rolls and fresh fluffy soft bath and hand towels. Eating out - Chef Lee restaurant for a really good Korean feed or across the road for the Chinese Four Seasons restaurant for a really great feed of Chinese dishes.

Unfortunately, we only stayed in this hotel for a night. We arrived at night and left early the following morning so I really can't say much about the hotel. Considering that we were a big group, check in was fast and efficient. The room I shared with a friend was a very spacious twin room but the beds are definitely bigger than twin size and very comfortable. The bathroom has complete amenities and the mini-bar, though we did not use it, was impressive. The other rooms, I was informed, had a view of the volcano. The front office staff were helpful and obliged with our request to do on-line check in for us for our flight the next day. They also obliged to pack sandwiches for us since our flight was too early for the complimentary breakfast. Our only misgiving is that they only had one van to shuttle guests to th airport so some of us had to leave very early so that the van can go back to the hotel to pick up the rest of the group. Luckily, the hotel is near the airport so there was time to do that.

We booked this hotel in time for my husband's birthday vacay. Their location was so nice as its at the city center. Room accommodation & service was great as well, friendly & responsive staffs too! Room amenities were complete l - fresh & clean linens, bath towels/robes & toiletries. We likewise availed of their breakfast & it was good. We'd love to go back to Legazpi again & stay at this place.👍💕

I stayed in 3 hotels for this trip in Legazpi and i will give a 5 stars to the cleanliness of the room because it is relatively new. But i only gave it 2 stars because 1.Check in process takes too long and makes you deposit incidental charges 2. they dont have proper breakfast area. It is only done in figarro cafe with limited selections 3. They dont have direct booking so they dont honor senior citizen discount. I am making a mental note to report them to BIR. 3. Rooms are good for 2 so an extra person cannot be accomodated. I ended up paying for the whole room. They should have given me an extra breakfast because I paid for 2 persons but they did not. They cheated me on this. 4. They didnt have a hot shower in the morning. The coffee maker is not working as well the hair dryer. I reported this to them but they did take any action.

Lotus blu is one of the newest hotel in Legazpi . So amenities wise i would recommend this. However i found the managers very unhelpful especially the male manager in the morning shift. He doesn't know how to accomodate guests and seems not to know what to do when there are problems with card payments.
They charged 2 transactions in my debit card, one txn that was voided due to incorrect amount and the other the correct hotel charge i was expecting that the voided charge will be immediately credited back to the card. However i noticed thst this was not the case. Later bdo confirmed that debit card charged are non voidable. There were no notification or time frame provided by the hotel mgmgt about this. If i didn't notice this the hotel would have left the issue as is and taken the overpayment. Still i was the one who provided a resolution for them. This just goes to show how grossly unaccomodating they are. Letting the hotel guests go through leaps and bounds just to resolve the issue they were responsible for in the first place.
Bottomline we didn't enjoy our stay. The hotel mgmt itself made 9ur stay a stressful one

At first this hotel looks good. The hotel is new. Good looking lobby in yellow marble. The staff are good looking young and efficient. The rooms are beautiful with great carpet and upholstery on the chairs. The room is also big. But as I sat on my queen bed... I noticed how hard it is and unforgiving. The AC though a centralized unit is loud. Then there's this constant humming sound I hear from the ceiling. Sound just carries in this hotel. I can hear the cars and people thru my glass window. And people talking from the hallway. The hotel is one of those half hotel half mall deals. So there's some choices when it comes to eating. Great location. Soon an SM mall will be finished just a few meters from this mall. Its walking distance from the transport terminal and Metro Mall.

Took a shower... room temperature water was as good as it got. Good amenities though. Even had a hair dryer in the bathroom and a comb.

The maintenance personel in this hotel is not that good. 2 flickering bulbs in the room. The plumbing fixture was haphazardly repared with clear silicon and plumbers tape. A messy job with the silicon. Being sort of a handy man these poor repair jobs get to me.

Good cable, Big closets, AC is good. Towels are new and smell good and are soft. Good pillows. Clean non smoking rooms!

Wifi speeds averaging 19 mps upload and download.

Price is a litte short of 3,000 because of 12 % Vat Plus service charge.

Looking for an upscale but affordable hotel in Legazpi City? Lotus Blu Hotel enjoys being located near the terminal and airport, at a reasonable price!
As a backpacker, I would rather stay in traveler's inns that have basic, decent beds and none of the fancy. See, I like to spend most of my time outdoors, and my money for adventures instead of staycations. Still, there beautiful cities outside of Manila that could be best enjoyed with comfort and undeniably, the luxury that a hotel could offer.
Because we're touring Albay tourist spots, we also had the chance to look for hotels in Legazpi City, Albay. One of our top choices is Lotus Blu Hotel. They are one of the newer Legazpi City hotels in the affordable luxury category and has received quite a number of Filipino celebrities in its place.
Who wouldn't love to stay where famous names such as James Reid and Nadine Lustre, Sarah Geronimo, Yeng Constantino, Richard Poon, etc.!
One of the boasting points of Lotus Blu Hotel is being located walking distance from the bus terminal and one ride away from the Legazpi City airport. They also reap the perks of being within Yashano Mall, which has tricycle terminals and is a common jeepney stop. Should you be commuting going to Cagsawa Ruins or Ayala Malls area, or simply go on an Albay food trip, you'll find no shortage of rides from the hotel.
Additionally, being located near a mall, you have access to a wide array of restaurants, ATM machines, supermarket, a spa, pharmacy, and a convenience store (a 7-11 branch is located just across). Pretty soon, an SM Mall will be located just a few meters away! So even if you have emergency or midnight runs, you'll find everything you need without needing to ride a car.
For me, the best part about an accessible hotel is that it encourages you to go out and see the world. Of course, not because we want to! We really loved the room they gave us and had marathon sleep after all our tiring activities, which brings us to...
Lotus Blu Hotel is not as rich in amenities compared to other luxury hotels in Legazpi. They don't have conference halls for company gatherings or meetings. They also don't have swimming pools. Still, if you're looking to enjoy Albay attractions instead of doing a staycation, you'll be delighted to find that their rooms are easily 4-star hotel material.
Each of their rooms is armed with:
• Orthopedic hotel type bed
• Hot and cold shower -- A delight for cold -ber months!
• Flat screen TV with cable service
• In-room safety deposit box
• Hair dryer
• Complimentary tea and coffee-making facility --PS I'll vouch for the flavor of their coffee!

In short, you'll have everything you need for a comfy stay in Albay. Since Lotus Blu Hotel does not have their own restaurants, breakfast is served at Figaro Coffee. Not complaining!
My favorite features would be the automatic "do not disturb" or "please clean-up" buttons by the door. No need for those cardboards you hang on the door. But what I like most of all is that they care for the environment.
Guests have the option to put under the lavatory basket only the towels they want to be washed and to reuse the fluffy bed sheets instead of washing them daily. While other hotels have options to use pump-based toiletries to be more environmentally-friendly, I think offering these choices improves awareness. Just imagine the water, electricity, and detergent saved.
For me, Lotus Blu Hotel is best for couples because of the luxurious feel that's date-worthy. We stayed at the One Bedroom Corner Suite with a king-sized bed. We really enjoyed the fluffy sheets and pillows that we almost never watch TV and go straight to sleep. The OBCS also has a walk-in closet perfect for hanging or drying clothes. It also has a small receiving area with a couch, in front of the TV, lest you're fussy about not eating in the bedroom.
The other rooms are equally self-indulgent even if smaller in size. Deluxe Queen would be a great choice for couples, while Deluxe Twin is great for families.
Another note-worthy praise is that they have great customer service. Their staff is always happy to be of help. On our last night, I asked the reception what time the bus terminal closes, and she offered us a ride there even though it's walking distance. One morning, we missed our breakfast and the receptionists offered it to us when we returned at noon. They are all humble and helpful people.

Tips for your stay at Lotus Blu Hotel
• The reception allows leaving bags before and after check-out, which is great for some last minute sightseeing in Albay. You may use their washroom near the lobby to freshen up, in case you arrive early or before check-in like we did.
• If you need to leave early and before the 7AM breakfast call-time, talk to the receptionists and ask for your breakfast to be pre-prepared and available in the lobby at the specific time. They will arrange this with Figaro, but make sure you clarify that you need it earlier.
Lotus Blu Hotel is ideal for a luxurious stay in Albay without spending too much. They have the basics you need for a memorable stay, including a great location, breakfast place, perfect rooms (I mean it!), and friendly staff. I highly recommend booking with them if you're looking for Albay hotels.

Close to everywhere specially the shopping center. Restaurant is just beside the corner of the hotel. Very friendly people and accomodating!
Would like to come back again the next time i visit Bicol!

The negative:
We had a problem with the shower everytime we used it the fuse for the warm water as well in the tv went out so we had to call the reception and should fix it directly but they did not fix it during our stay.
Then the light over the door is always on we cant sleep because of the bright light. It would be nice if you could switch it off.

We didn’t have an issue when we stayed there Jan. 2019 - - but we stayed there one night. They even accommodated my brother-in-law, who needs a cane to walk, with a room close to the elevator.
