We stayed in this clean and simple hotel last October 8-9, 2011. Albeit it was our second time since last year when we occupied a family room which could be found on the third floor. It was a huge room for a family!!! The only problem when reaching this room is that - it is stamina-driven. What i mean is - you have to bear with the steep-inclined stairs. It is not advisable for the oldies. And there is no option given since there is an absence of elevator. That's why we chose another family room with two bedrooms inside, aircon, cold & hot shower, cable T.V.( a cute one), good for a single occupant. I was not contented with the aircondition that night. It seems it didn't reach my body temparature coolness. Hope they improve it! But the sampaguita room was clean and well-furnished except for the poor curtain rod which is easily gets its way down on the floor when you accidentally tap it. They should strenghten so as not to call disturbance to the guest occupants. Anyway, i like the garden pool. It is where my daughter enjoyed most. The hotel staff are very acoomdating and easy to get along with. Keep up the cleanliness. By the way, they are wifi invaded. Congratulation to the manager and staff. Keep on going for a better service and improvements.

To be honest we were looking for an inexpensive hotel. We were disappointed in the hotel, we rented a family room ,one king bed with two singles. When we called for a blanket for one of the singles we were told there was an extra charge for the blanket, since they only provide one blanket for the king bed, also the location is less than desireable. The breakfast that was inclusive in the price is sutibale for Filipino taste not western, and was meager portions at best. Plus we booked an internet price and my wife who is a Filipina had to go 3 times to the desk to straighten out the price as they overcharged us.

Hotel is in quite subdivision close to the hospital and Rizal St. So easy to get anywhere. Room we had was just enough for two in size. Wifi worked on 2 floor. Pool nice add on. We paid P1120 a night.

I would very much like to reccomend this hotel to anyone.
The funny thing with this hotel is, that it is rather oldschool. It has a "homely" feeling. I stayed in the top room, the "VIP" room. It was on the top floor so there was many stairs. (no elevator) But for me that was not a problem.
At a rate of 1850php/night. I had a pretty pricate lookout vantage point on the roof, where i saw the entire city of legaspi at night.
The room fel fresh and clean, there was a slight issue with ants. But nothing that bothered me so much. I told the front desk and a whole team of cleaners came :). The bathroom had what you needed, a bathtub and a shower. The bathtub and shower is Filipino sized though. But they are there nevertheless, but a tad small for a 190cm long swede. The bathroom did need some minor maintenence, the toilet hanged sometimes. and the hose on the shower handle needed to be changed. but minor minor details. Myself i found the hotel charming. The personel very friendly and helpful. The food from the restaurant good. They had a good menu with a wide range of filipino:ish foods. With all its pro´s and cons. Was hard for me to find the right dishes for me on the menu. But after 1 week. I found some gold nuggets on the menu. Such as the "5 man dishes" Which my filipino family really appreciated.
Accessebility of the hotel, well.. here is the only thing i feel a bit sad about when it came to the hotel. I did not feel 100% safe. Leaving the hotel going towards the main road, if i did not have filipino family with me i would not go, i would take a taxi.
max 15mins of jeepney in heavy traffic from all services in the central legaspi.
150-300php for taxi from the two central shopping malls. maybe a little more to and from embarcadero. Hotel also has laundry service, and a swimming pool. And most likely other services also that i never used. i NEVER visited the bar. simply because i had it so good in my room upstairs. With that kind of view. why use the bar? ^^.

I gave my grades on the hotel not compared the the best out there but rather compared to others in legaspi.
Overall i would like to give the hotel 4 on all and 5 on Cleanliness, value and sleep quality. The hotel simply gave what others did not quite offer and a better price. It lacked at some points. but made up for them in others.

I did sleep very good, the bed was comfortable, a bit thin madress but i never woke up aching. i had to ask for more pillows as the pillows were so low.
No really disturbing sounds, except for the lizards calling out outside sometimes, and some cricket sounds. And some odd cat fight far away. But nothing that ever woke me up, not once. The AC was a bit annoying it blew cold air straight on bed. But i hanged a cloth infront of exhaust that diffued the airflow.

Good luck
Robert and Cherry from, Västerbotten Sweden.
If any of the personell at the hotel is reading this thank you for a pleasant stay.

had a one night stay, the staff were sloppy and unwelcoming. we were already at the doorsteps and the 3 ladies( 2 were chatting, 1 at the reception area texting) were still motionless. had this big luggage bag that I really was dragging and nobody seems to care to assist until I asked the lady at the reception area if there could be anybody to carry it upstairs, (mind you, no elevator) she yelled several times until a guy appeared and helped me. my friend and i stayed in a regular room with 2 single bed, a 32-inch LED TV, a coffee table with a white faded table cloth, there was this distinct old musty smell . in the morning I was about to brush my teeth, when I opened the faucet, the water was so dirty, it was chocolate dirty. it took awhile before it turned to water again. the heater was not working and it was too noisy that even if the door is closed, you can hear the chatting outside the room.

good enough, i had a good breakfast at their so dim resto downstairs. i was really disappointed because it looked so nice in the picture.

The hotel is far from the airport, and it was my first time in Legazpi, but I felt like the hotel isn't near all the good places to eat. By good places, I mean fast food chains in the malls. Point is, I am positive there are hotels with better locations out there.

When checking in, there was no one at the desk. I had to wait for a good 7-10 minutes before somebody showed up. I wanted to pay with my credit card and the reception guy had a hard time using the credit card terminal or whatever it is called. I had to remind him to read what on the screen for it to actually work. The cable sucks. Sure, there were lots of channels, but the reception, oh boy. The doors creak, so whenever somebody was leaving or entering their room, the whole floor would know it - and it the middle of the night, it's a horror movie ingredient for your imagination.

The shower is good, hot water whenever I needed it. The air conditioning just right. Note that the good things I am writing about this hotel is actually THE good things about any low budget hostel.

Overall, the price for a Philippine hotel in a small city is too much. Paid so much for so little. It's a so-so hotel. I couldn't even bear myself to say that it's good.

Stayed here 1 one night in March 2013 with my 3 friends. The beds and the Wi-Fi was the only things that weren't bad at this hotel. The restaurant is cheap but terrible, takes 50 minutes to bring out a breakfast which is cold at the time they bring it out. The bathroom was small, weary and unclean.

TV didn't work. Staff tried 3 TVs before changing my room. WiFi only in reception area and weak. Breakfast, tea and coffee not included. No laundry. No kitchen.

Staff OK. Room and bathroom clean. AC and TV? in room. Free use of pool. Smoking in garden area. It's a budget hotel, so don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

I had the top room, on the roof i had my own private evening vantage over the whole of legazpi and the glow ontop of mayon.
I visited family and stayed 2 weeks.
Regular cleaning, very good food.
I never used the pool even though i could jump into it from my floor ^^.
I ordered room service alot, had family ordered and got one of the larger fiest menu items.
And this is the only negative thing i after my stay i have to say.
After 2 days leaving the "dishes" outside the door i had to call the reception to get it taken away and all the onslaught of ants that due to the dishes eradicated.
When i called 3 cleaning ladies came straight away and dealth with it, so respect.
However during 2 weeks stay this was a on time occurance.
Price was reasonable, all food ordered was delicious. Staff were very professionall and friendly, guards were chill.
Considering price and fresh state of room, and service. I have nothing negative to say. Rather i wish to say i have lived at 3-4 star hotels that was worse.
If any of the staff read this, thank you for your hospitality.
From a Swedish national.
I base my 5/5 out of quality of service, experience vs listed rank of hotel and expectations.

This is a budget hotel, with simple or basic amenities - clean room, private toilet, airconditioning, TV with local channels only. Althougn it has a quaint garden and pool area, do not expect much. It's 2nd floor veranda has a view of Mt. Mayon, so this sometimes more than makes up for everything.
