The rooms however are on the bigger side but the airconed rooms, single at Php 1200, face the noisy commercial street so expect to have traffic noises all day and all night.
Early on, I concluded that service is going to be lousy because the boy forgot to provide a simple rudimentary service like providing towels and had to go out and ask for it. "You should have used the phone, idiot!" you say. Sorry, all i got was static. And when I finally got to take a shower after touring the hot water heater was not working either. AAARRRGGGGHHHH
The air-conditioning in the room was ok though and the people were generally polite. Not really nice but polite enough. sort of half frozen pasted smiles. haha.
No brewed coffee in the restaurant, but Nescafe instant almost tastes the same anywhere. No free breakfast with the room.
Checking out today and will find a better place for my money.
Service is horrendous. Our fan was completely useless, it ran but for some reason had zero air flow. We asked to switch rooms or for a new fan and they laughed. The hotel is eroom but they wouldn't let us switch rooms. We laid in bed for an hour sweating non-stop. No screen on the window so we opened it anyway and set up our own mosquito nets. It did nothing. The room was at least ten degrees hotter than outside.
Eventually I went and politely requested to move to a standard aircon (1200) and pay the difference. The receptionist and four other employees (all standing around doing nothing) laughed at me and started chatting in Tagalog. After a grand old show of flipping through an empty reservation book, she informed me there were only deluxe rooms left (1400). We cut our losses and paid so that we can get a little sleep before heading to donsol for the whale sharks tomorrow.
All the negative reviews above about the cafe and wifi and brutal staff have proven true. Please avoid this place despite lonely planets reccomendation. Poor business ethics and standards should not be rewarded.
The staff at the reception was really helpful, they explained us how to get to Ligñon Hill for 1/10 of what a tricycle would ask (by jeepney) - you just get outside the hotel and get a jeepney!. Really convenient. All the information about transportation that we asked for was given in a clear and helpful way.
It is very close to two shopping malls - and you can always get fresh fruit (cheap price) to the vendors on the street.
Quite convenient for a night or more.
When we arrive the front desk lady told us that they are fully book, so we stayed at there waiting lounge while browsing in the net looking for another place to stay. After several minutes the front desk lady ask us how many days we will be staying and we told her that we will just stay overnight and leave early the next day because we are going to Matnog. So she ask someone to arrange a room for us that is reserve for the next day
* The Inn is located in the heart of Legazpi City so it is accessible to everything and everywhere.
* as you see the people in the Inn are nice
* internet connection is fast in the lounge, in our room 311 it reaches only in the first bed
* rooms are nice but too few outlets if you have many gadgets make sure to bring an adapter with few extra outlets.
*the lady in the front desk gave us directrion to the places we wanted to visit
On a positive note, staff are very helpful and hotel is centrally located.
we booked one double room with extra bed since a friend of ours join for few days. room is compact, good beds and pillows. hot shower provided and working well after 2 minutes heated up, but the toilet seems need a serious renovation or upgrading. that's why there's a plastic bucket provided, since we must pouring water directly from the basin. but it's still okay.
the receptionist insisted i am a filipino (funny to remember that) since physically i look the same and i speak a bit tagalog as well (flattering?). and it's turn not funny anymore when there's a local typhoon coming, called as "bagyon bebeng". she's not telling us directly about the announcement and keep busy with her cellphone. when our friend (who stay with us and must fly earlier) back to the hotel, she's commented, "well, all flights are delaying, ma'am. can not fly today." and our friend reply, "why you don't tell me when i pass the reception desk?" her answer (again, it's funny for us!), "since i think your friend (me) understand tagalog so already knew the situation by listening news on tv and local radios." owwyeaaah!!!! apart of that "hilarious" situation, we like this lodging. centrally located and very accessible. it's situated on the 4th floor within a building.
"unless you have good legs or have trained for climbing mountains don't even considered this hotel"Read full review
"If you are always in a hurry, reserve a room along the third floor (they start on the third floor then up). No elevator; you have to get used to going up and down the stairs."Read full review
"Always ask for the inner room though. The wind really makes you feel like there is someone at the window."Read full review
