The place was just right for our niece wedding with just family and close friends. The places is not small as it is mostly garden beautifully landscaped. The resort offers individual rooms as well as huge rooms for families facilitating bonding among family members. While the place lends itself to a dreamlike garden wedding, it was a bit steep for older guests to go down the wedding area. This was mitigated but the fact that there is a terrace on the reception building which looks over the garden area so guests though unable to go down could still enjoy watching the wedding.
Old style garden, perfect for Filipiniana theme wedding. It was difficult to find, so make sure you ask through by standers on the way, they are very helpful on our quest to find this place on a stormy night.
Much more than a garden. A garden of Eden? You don't need apples for there are plenty of other delights to entice the visitor. Beatriz' Garden is a wonderful example of architecture combined with exceptional landscaping. Not a nook nor cranny does not possess a view of the verdant countryside, be they on balconies, verandas, patios or sun-drenched terraces. I was reminded here of Italian Renaissance architecture. Yet there are many other influences, and fundamentally it is Filipino culture married to Mediterranean style. Principally a venue for weddings and other events, it also caters for couples and families. There are 25 well-appointed rooms offering the visitor every convenience. There's even a dormitory for larger groups. Breakfast is provided in the tariff, but guests are welcome to bring their own food with adequate cooking facilities provided in the large piazza which has outstanding views. Indeed, this could be as close to the charming structures and scenery of Ravello or Positano in Italy's Campania region as anyone could get. But there is much more to Beatriz' Garden than this. This is a labour of love, which has taken years to realise. The owner, Beatriz, has put her unique stamp on this, and opened it to the public. She designed it herself and every step, every path, every marble ingrain, she created. Every plant, every flower, every tree, she planned and planted. I suspect years ago the Romans would have lived in a place like this if they ever reached the Philippines. Is it a Roman Villa? Is it a palace? Is it a mansion? It's impossible to say, but I will say that seeing is believing, and once seen, never forgotten - because around every corner there is something which will attract the senses and around every corner there is something enticing. Be it the verdancy, the glorious scents and perfumes, or the sheer pleasure of the unexpected. This is Beatriz' Garden. It can be a grand open garden or many personal secret gardens - the choice is yours and it's up to you which part suits your soul. For that is the beauty of it and that's why it is unique. Maybe it is Paradise after all!…
