1. Black mold on the ceiling. This is dangerous and is toxic to anyone’s health. 2. Bath tub not working/draining 3. Peeling and worn out paint 4. Shower leakage. They stuffed towels around the corners to soak the seeping water. 5. Slippery outdoors when raining, no handle bars. 6. Hair on food drainage of bath tub is not working(i do have a video but i cannot upload) Breakfast was like a food ration during a natural calamities given by the local government. And of course, paid for 2 rooms with Taal view. Was given a mediocre replacement only after we complained that that’s not what we booked.. They were informed of the the problems, but the only response we got is that “they’ll look into it”.

The best thing about this hotel are the staff. They are really responsive, accommodating and always greets you with a smiling face. They are very respectful even when I requested for early check-out and refund of the second night (which we didn't get but understandable) However, there are a lot more things that disappointed me at this hotel/hometelle. First, there were hidden charges that I did not see on my Booking confirmation. I still paid it upon check-in because I figured I did not want to ruin my scheduled vacation. The service charge and VAT were not yet included in the rate that I saw. Probably not the hotel's fault, anyway. Still, the rate is overpriced, way too overpriced for what you will get. Paid P9K (but expected P7500 only). Would have been okay if the place made it worth it, but noooo. I would consider this a learning experience for me. It hit me really hard because I felt traumatized. I was looking for peace, sleeping in but got no sleep and no peace instead because the place just didn't feel right. I honestly wish I had given up the second night that I paid and just went home earlier but I stayed the 2 full nights which felt like sacrifice or something. The place with all its lush greenery and view of Taal Lake are great! Probably the only thing, aside from the staff, that I liked here. The facilities, however are really OLD already. I stayed in the deluxe room so the VIP rooms could have been better. There was an old, musty, "kulob" smell from almost all the rooms, even the game room where they had the billiards table. It gives the impression that not too many people book here, but still, I think there is a way to make the rooms smell newer, fresher. The aircon was even broken at the second room where I stayed (room 5, I think). I asked to be transferred here because I could not sleep at the room we had.(room 6). I don't know why coz I've been to many other hotels, but I could not sleep here.

The place is a normal B&B. It is just a night to spend with. The location is excellent and accessible to some popular tourist spots and attractions in the area. it was secured though and the guards were accommodating specially for a parking slot just for you. The outdoor garden has an overlooking view of the Taal lake and volcano.

Pricey. got my room for 7000+ with corkage fee. Though the room is a little elegant. but still 7k for a day.. think again. If you have a tight budget ignore this place. the free breakfast is just so ordinary. its like your eating in bentelog or another tapsihan.

We went here for one night stay holiday from work. Together with my husband, and son, we stayed in a deluxe room near the reception area. They are very approachable friendly and wear smile everytime. The villa looks old (perhaps this is the mode they wanted to show to their guest) the sala is cozy overlooking Taal lake. I booked the hotel through booking.com and was so surprised that there are too many hidden charges not shown in the package. Instead of ruining the day, I payed for it and enjoyed the day. The pool is very cold?! Not recommended to swim in Tagaytay in December! The overlooking site is great and relaxing. The garden is breath taking and you wish you have the same backyard in your home! The food is delish, but very pricey so we opt to dine outside. Breakfast is yummy as well but again there are too many hidden charges. The menu is misleading 220 pesos for one porktapa but when in time for check out it cost me 260 plus. Cold shower, non functional hair dryer. The room is cold as well, great view from the garden, too many lights haha! But overall i still recommend this place especially for writers and those who want to relax for quite sometime. Parking is limited but ok! Near highways going to Manila.

We chose a VIP suite for its view of the Lake and Taal volcano. It was worth it. Lovely setting in well maintained tropical gardens. The pool and cafe all had views over the lake too. Internet not great in our room but worked in the cafe area. The cafe had a good option of Philipino and Western food. The ham and egg sandwich was actually a toasted ham and egg sandwich with tomato and lettuce and mayo which we enjoyed. Staff were all friendly and helpful. A nice size place with not too many rooms. We can recommend it. A swim in the pool, a coffee on the terrace with views and sitting on your balcony overlooking Taal Volcano and the twin lakes and it is getting easy to relax.

The views from the garden/pool area are stunning. Unfortunately our room didn't have these views (standard room) but the room it's self was large, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and exceptionally helpful at all times. It is a little out of the way from Tagaytay but the security will flag a taxi/tricycle for you to take you wherever you want to go.

Luckily for us, we came here when it's not in season I supposed. There were hardly anyone renting around us, except for those rooms by the road side. Although it was a bit expensive for being an old place I thought. We rented one of the Villa next to the pool. The view was amazing, we had a great sunrise the next day. The choices of foods we had was a typical Filipino and American fares. It was really good too and the kitchen service was excellent. I will have to come back and hopefully explore the area more, maybe find hiking trails near by.

I have never seen a staff so unaccommodating. This hotel had no other guests when we arrived but refused to put us in a room until exactly 1:00! You can't bring food or water from the outside but the restaurant was closed! No city taxi only tuktuks which we didn't want to ride in the rain! So we ordered pizza but they wouldn't let us eat in the room! We had to eat in the lobby! When we checked out three people were two steps into my room before I was barely out to check their inventory! We felt watched and very uncomfortable. When we pay close to $100US we expect a bit more from a hotel! It was terrible! Plus very noisy!

I initially wanted to write this review on Booking, which is the site I used to book the stay. But apparently they only send an email for you to write a review if they know you were happy with your stay. Other things about reserving on Booking, is that this Hotel will say there is one room left when I found that is clearly not the case. So let's start with the good. Many of the staff are quite cordial and friendly, the view of Taal Volcano from their courtyard is beautiful. Unfortunately you do not get this view from the Deluxe room. So where do I start? I reserved the room for two adults and one child, and also reserved breakfast for all three people for 5 days. When I arrived I was only given breakfast vouchers for 2 people, and there was only 1 queen bed in the room. So an exrtrra small mattress costs an extra $10.00 a night, even though I had reserved the room for 3 people, and an extra breakfast would also be charged per day. Again no big deal. So here is where I give my first tip to this BnB. Turn on the Air Con beffore your guests arrive. It was about 95 degrees inside the small room when we arrived, and took a good half hour to cool down. Unfortunately something was wrong with the remote control of the AC, so we tried to have the front desk staff replace the batteries. This did not seem to work so the room would get completely freezing until you could get it to stop, and then the room would get hot again. Ok no biggie right? Stuff happens. However, this Deluxe room is located only 5 steps away from the front desk and front entrance to the Hotel which is situated on a heavily trafficked road in Tagaytay. The walls are so thin that during the night I heard telephone calls to the desk, the staff walking around the room, and opening and closing of the door that leads to the outside is ajoined to the wall of the Deluxe room. And then of course you get to hear traffic and honking all night long. This might not be a big deal for locals from Manilla who are use to hearing traffic all night, but that should not be the case when you are paying over $100.00 US dollars a night. To make matters worse, during our stay one of the staff members was sick so we also got to hear coughing all night long. Then on the first night, we wanted to eat at the adjoining resttaurant, and they were already closed at 8:00 pm on a weekend. So we asked the front desk for places that deliver, only to be told that they would charge us 50 percent of the total bill for food. WHAT A RIDICULOUS POLICY. Later I would find out that not only does their restaurant close at 7:00 pm on the weekdays, they are closed on Monday and Tuesday, so I don't get how they could sell me breakfast vouchers for those days. What they did, was have one person come in to man the restaurant which made for a long delay in breakfast, and cold food by the time it was all ready. Unhappy with two nights of not being able to sleep, I advised them I would be checking out early, and this is when they told me that they would be charging me FOR ALL 5 NIGHTS! Of course I asked to talk to the manager, but she was off for the day. On a Monday! So the staff called the manager who would cut me off every time I tried to give her my grievances. She refused to come to the Hotel to speak to me in person, and ultimately refused my request to not charge me for all 5 days. DO NOT GO HERE! There are plenty of Hotels in Tagaytay, so there is no need to reserve more than one day and there are far better hotels in the area with views of the Volcano from your room for the same or cheaper price.
