the cottage structure, the mini garden outside the cottage and at the coffee shop and the clean dining area are the best reasons we chose this property. it made us feel we are not in the city , we can just sit at the chairs provided at the gaden of the coffee shop without the need to go out around tagaytay. it would be better if the garden is bigger , and if the resort can provide more activities for children and teens like bike basketball , dart or other activitties. pool should be upgraded. elevated sitting area of the garden should have ample light or signs so that nobody can fell. internet is poor in the cottages.

We saw an FB ad for a 20% off promo and decided to try this hotel out. It is located just along the Tagaytay Nasugbu a few hundred meters after Taal Vista.
The room we got was clean although I felt it needed some renovating. Management informed us that they are actually constructing a new wing with new facilities and once construction is complete, they will start renovating the old wing where we stayed at. That’s great news!
One thing I love about Hortz Hotel is that it has a pool, a coffee shop and a restaurant. The food and service at the coffee shop and restaurant was so good that we didn’t have to think of going out to dine elsewhere.
Another thing I am thankful for is how management is hands on in providing excellent customer service. During our stay, my son unfortunately was scratched by a stray cat in the open grounds of the hotel. The General Manager, Mr Nestor Lacanlale Jr, himself accompanied us to the nearest hospital and paid for all the medical bills for the anti rabies shots needed. I was so thankful for their concern and support. I think this is the first time for me to experience such heart-felt service. Kudos to Mr Lacanlale and the Hortz Hotel!

used to be called the bali village hotel, the new name is more apt and trendy.
we stayed here for 5D/4N for a workshop conducted by our agency. we were billeted in rooms situated in north and south wings. ours was in south wing with defective electronic lock and so we were provided with a key to manually open it.
our room smells nice, well lit, speedy internet connectivity, good bathroom amenities but lacks hooks inside to hang our towel & clothes.
food was adequate and tastes alright. enough to actually bust our hunger and thirst. no hot tea, though. only coffee was the hot beverage available.
parking was ample and the rich vegetation served as natural fence that protects trespassers from reaching in.
swimming pool was not enticing enough to make us swim. nice ambiance, though.

Service was exceptional as the staff were very friendly and courteous. The place was nice and clean. The restaurants had great food. And yes, they are very pet-friendly. We stayed in rooms 108 and 107 in the South Villas, both were very spacious and clean. The only con is that it is next to the main road and the passing traffic was very noisy, even late at night. We didn’t sleep well due to the noise. So if you’re sound sensitive when you sleep, refrain from booking those rooms. We asked to be transferred but they said that they were fully-booked (however we noted that there were a lot of unoccupied rooms in the area). Would I stay there again? Yes, definitely. But I will be specifically requesting not to put us in the rooms right by the main road.

The stay with Hortz was great! Esp. we are with our 2 furbabies. The room and place was excellent. You feel so close with the nature due to the eye-satisfying plants and landscapes. Highly recommended esp. for those who has furbabies but just make sure to put a diaper and leash on your babies to maintain the cleanliness and serenity of the place. Will surely go back and try the japandi room. Thanks a lot for the experience!

Checked in overnight last Nov. 3 with my grandkids. We occupied a room in the south wing, it was clean, the twin beds were comfy, though I wished there were two pillows in each bed, the aircon was perfect, the Cr and bathroom were clean with good water pressure and working water heater. The food at Tipanan restaurant were yummy and also the free plated breakfast at Facio, big servings for a heavy breakfast to start the day. The staff were very courteous & accommodating.

It's actually our 2nd time staying at Hortz Hotel and Resorts. We enjoyed our initial stay so we went back and enjoyed its facilities some more. Both rooms we stayed at are in the South wing and I can say that both are very spacious and very cozy. The staff are all accommodating and very quick to respond to our requests. It's one of the hotels that we will definitely go back to again.

We celebrated our Dad's 80th Birthday at Tipanan Restaurant of Hortz Hotel recently and it was a BIG success! The guest loved the food, all the dishes they served are very tasty, but their kaldereta really stood out (must try!). The servings are very generous. The ambiance and interiors are very cozy and intimate. Loved the tropical feel of this place. The staff/waiters are very pleasant and nice. But the person that made our event hassle free is RC Castro, he is very responsive, efficient and very respectful. He went over and above in assisting us and making the event very meaningful and successful. We highly recommend Tipanan to be your venue of choice for any intimate celebration. Just look for Jeff and RC and they will take care of everything for you. Only suggestion is...we hope they would consider air conditioning the place so guests would be more comfortable esp during peak of summer. Thank you Tipanan/Hortz Team! Thank you RC Castro!
