stayed there last august 2019 for 3 days 2 nights. the place is quite unique, maybe because of the structure and location of the hotel, price is average, the best thing to do here is walk outside and you will see a lot of local restaurants, they also have a pool inside! the service is on the average, when you check in, try to ask for the room that has an overlooking of taal lake, nothing beats a coffee by the window and a view of the taal lake!!

If I had to choose one word to describe this property, it would be ‘lackadaisical’. While the staff was friendly enough and tried to be helpful, during a five-night stay there was absolutely no pro-active attention paid to the premises or to the guests. The room did sport a bed, nightstand, wardrobe, balcony furnished with a ramshackle metal table with a warped surface and two chairs, flat-screen tv, and a small glass shelf at eye-level on wall brackets which begged to be stood up under or walked into. Shampoo packets (3) were provided, but no soap. Sorely lacking were surfaces to set luggage on or unpack onto. Noise from hall and pool outside was clearly heard. Perhaps most important, there was only one electrical outlet in the room, although unplugging the tv provided a second. No in-room wifi. The CR (toilet) was functional, but treacherous. Water from the shower area (no curtain) did not drain, and the floor remained wet and slippery. Water pressure was low and lighting minimal. There was nowhere to set anything down except on the rim of the sink. Shower was hot after a wait, but temperature adjustment and stability were poor. There was a pervasive, unpleasant odor and we kept the door closed at all times. Bedding was clean, if threadbare. I don’t know if the room is made up on a schedule or on request, but it was only done once, on request, during a five-day stay. Only bath towels were provided. Best view of Lake Taal was from the parking lot. Several popular bulaluhan and shops selling pasalubo (say, “buko pie”) are within an easy walk. Jeepneys are frequent, trikes are rare, and taxis non-existent.

We stayed here for one (1) night after the tiring Spartan Race in Cavite. The location is awesome since you have a view deck! It's in the center so all of the restaurants and attractions are within reach. Room is quite spacious and clean. Bathroom and Toilet are separated :)

We stayed at Pura Vida for one night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When I called the resort the receptionist said that only one room is available and all other rooms are occupied. She is very consistent that when we arrived at the place I asked for the room with bath tub but she said it’s no longer available and that they are fully booked. We don’t see any other guests when we checked in, all the rooms are open and saw no one else staying at the resort. When she left, one of the guys mentioned that if we want to drink outside beside the pool we can stay at one of the rooms that has a veranda since its raining, anyway we are the only guest at the resort. If Im rating the resort I would rate it as negative 1 because of the lady at the reception since she’s representing the whole place, but it would be unfair to all of the staff at the resort who are nice and accommodating. Anyway we rented the place for 2500 we stayed at Altea room. The room is cozy and the bed is ok. It has a veranda pool view. The restroom has a funny smell, and it’s hard mixing the hot and cold temp of the water when taking shower. Either it’s really hot or really cold. The place is ok though it would be better if the swimming pool is heated but it’s nice and clean. They offer early check in and the check out time is 12pm the next day. They serve free breakfast, you can choose from tapsilog, tocilog, longsilog and bangsilog with kapeng barako. There’s shampoo and soap, towel inside the room. You can always request for a hot water at the reception and they will give you a thermos. They don’t offer free coffee so you have to buy your own. You won’t starve though they don’t have a resto in the resort but there are restaurants beside it. They have a parking space good for three vehicles.

Due to budget constraints we were forced to check in here. but we soon found out it was a bad decision. the place is totally different from the photos posted in their website. the staff is not well trained and the room we were in were totally in dire need of renovation. food was just average but still not good enough. Id probably stay somewhere else in the future. Not worth it

This is a budget hotel near Skyranch. You'll get a fantastic view of the Taal Volcano. The pool is nice but it was cold at the time of our stay so we were not able to make use of it. No problems encountered during check-in and check-out. There are also great dining places nearby.

Wanting to stick to our budget without compromising quality, we looked into several hotels to the point of exhaustion until we finally and thankfully saw Pura Vida :) We had no regrets choosing this because: • the (Barcelona) room has a spacious bathroom with modern toilet bowl plus bidet and a huge bathtub ~I am almost sure that you will never ever find a room with this feature with a rate of less than 3k! So this is a big Yay! That being said, don't forget to include a bath bomb in your To Bring list :) • hot & cold shower available • it has a few free modest toiletries • the Front Desk clerks were friendly & helpful • the Maintenance staff was quick to attend to our need (we had the air-con filter cleaned since it was heavily dusty and he did it without delay) • this room includes a homey, tasty & filling Filipino breakfast which is another big Yay! Please note though that some rooms do not include breakfast • we never got to use the pool but it looks clean and it's just nice that they have it • guests are allowed to go to the rooftop to enjoy a good view of Taal Lake You may be a bit disappointed by these minor issues (yes, for me they're minor) though: • poor wi-fi • just a far end of the lake can be viewed from our room. Other rooms must have nicer views • small & steep parking space • bed is big but it would have been cozier if the mattress is softer • beddings were clean but not as fresh smelling • no free slippers (now this is too much to ask right?! haha) To sum it up, our stay there was pleasant and well worth the price. And we will stay there again on our next Tagaytay visit.

We are a family of 3 and this hotel is quite good for families who are traveling in Budget. The rooms are good except for the Comfort Room I hope they can renovate the comfort rooms they seem so outdated and not clean. There's a pool but It is empty because they are gonna clean It. The receptionist is very welcoming and warm. We'll be back If we want to save money :)

We've stayed in this hotel twice already. Hotel staff were accommodating and easy to speak with. The view outside our room is relaxing that we can see the Taal Lake upclose. The standard room we stayed in is good for 2 adults and 1 child, since we have three children we have to pay for extra bedding. The place is well maintained and clean except for their swimming pool (the first visit was fine and clean) but the second time we visited it's not clean when we want to go for a swim. Bathrooms were clean, they have both hot and cold. There is no breakfast included when we checked in so we have to pay for it separately. They served typical Filipino breakfast which is well cooked, we recommend their tapa and bangus. Children liked it as well. Some points to share; they don't have good cable channels, aircon is noisy and no wifi connections. Room rates were budget friendly and if you want to order food they will call restaurants nearby and deliver it. You may check the aircon first for the room and if you are not so particular with internet connections and using the TV, your experience here is just great and this is a place where you can relax with your family.

The hotel staff were polite and approachable. The place is clean and tidy, as well as the room we stayed in. Also, a great place to stay if you are craving for bulalo and tawilis since the hotel is located near bulalo point and bulalo capital.. 👍
