(stayed here about a year ago)
We had a lot of choices in Tagaytay but chose this because we thought it sounded nice. It was mentioned a lot in other forums as a budget accommodation (though we haven't read a post from someone who actually stayed here)

We reserved a room for 1 night here with my boyfriend and paid in advance.
As soon as we arrived and parked, we already knew it was going to be disappointing. It didn't look homey from the outside. But, being backpackers, we reserved judgement until we were inside (though if we hadn't paid in advance, we would have left right then)
The location is good because it's near the main road and near places to eat.
We got a double-sized room. It wasn't expensive, but I think, for the same price, you can get better rooms in better hotels/inns in Tagaytay
It has cable, but a really tiny tv up high. I've been to nicer motels and inns in tagaytay in the same price range. It has hot water, clean bathroom with toiletries and towels (2) and rubber slippers. The bed is not comfortable, neither were the pillows(2). The rooms are very dreary (decor practically non-existent) and not insulated from the noise outside and worse, we were placed in the room near the stairs so we could hear everyone passing by. Worst thing during our stay: the building nearby is either a town hall or a school so you can hear a lot of noise when there's an event or there's lots of people (during our stay, there was a basketball tournament! awful). There was supposed to be a free breakfast, but when we asked, it was only an egg and cheese sandwich wrapped in tissue!
We just left and had breakfast outside. Maybe it was a good sandwich, but we were too disappointed already. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the place is very basic but clean. It's a good cheap alternative (maybe), but it's not THAT cheap for what you get. :(

I think they're going for a homey feel, but, in our case, it kind of failed. :(
It's a good option for people who are just looking for a place to crash for a few nights, maybe? People who don't count the places they stay in as something that contributes much to their Tagaytay experience?

The Good:
- Affordable for groups
- Inclusive of set breakfast (hotdog and rice with coffee 3-in-1 or Milo)
- Provides toiletries and towels (toothbrush & toothpaste available upon request)
- Provides rubber slippers
- Friendly staff and guards
- Room is cold enough
- Bed is clean and comfortable pillows
- Great location - just across so many food restaurants!

The not-so-good
- Bathroom is not so clean, especially the sink
- The a/c does not reach the double deck area in the family room
- Steep stairs and no bellhop so make sure you can carry your luggage
- Walls and door are thin so if it's noisy in the hallway, it can be bothersome
- Wifi is inaccessible for some devices (my mom was able to connect but my dad couldn't, and they were in the same bed, at the same time)

Have stayed here 3 times and I think they've upgraded their service, but the bathroom needs cleaning!

Since we were with friends, we were looking for a cheap accommodation that will let us sleep for the night. And after 3 hotels that I've gone through, we stumbled upon Cool Breeze.
We were 6 and the family room can accommodate 4, and if we divide it, we will shell out 1400. If we go for the standard rooms, then we pay 1650. We opted for the standard since the difference is minimal. Then we were brought to another home since they said that the PHP1650-valued rooms are in there.
It was clean, TV only had below 10 channels, no toothpaste, soap, whatever and only towels. There was a hot/cold shower. Anything else that we asked for (like hangers, ice, water), either they needed to get it from their main hotel or they would charge us. Well that's fair, but even water? HAHA okay.
Wifi not working also. The 'ate' there typed in the password for me, but it wasn't functioning. Tsk.
I think if we were not tired, we can still look for a cheaper accommodation within the city. If you are not stingy though, then this will be worth it.

My family and I checked in to this place on a late Friday on October 2016. We were a party of 7 including 2 kids. The staff was not friendly and their customer service sucks - big time. One of the ladies in the desk told us right away that if we "overstayed" it would be an additional P200.

I asked the ladies in front if they have any discount or consideration with our rate related to we were planning to stay for 2 nights, we have a senior/ill citizen with us and not to mention the 2 young kids. One of the ladies said “no” that they can only make it cheaper by removing the breakfast if we prefer – which did not matter really. The lady made a clear statement that since it was Saturday the following day, the rate would be different for the second night stay.

An additional (one-sized) mattress was P450, whereas in other better hotels, you can choose between a single and twin/queen mattress for only P300. An extra blanket cost P150. The restroom was outdated. The room was depressing.

If you have time to look around for other “better” hotels - please do so. Customer service and overall rating – NEGATIVE. I totally regret staying in this place, but we did not have choice at the time as my Dad was already tired and cannot tolerate searching for other places. We checked out the following day as soon as we can and found a better place just up the street.

Ok we opted for a cheap ( well for this city anyway ) hotel around 1800 peso per night that's expensive for the phils but tagaytay is expensive

It is what it is right ?
It's a low cost room to see the volcano

The room is basic Manila type room for 900 peso if you arrive expecting anything else as per some other reviews on here your in the wrong hotel
It's not a 3* it's possibly not even rated

However
Great staff
Clean 1970s room
Tv
Hot water
No breakfast
What else do you expect ????
Location all ok too just walking distance off the main drag
7 min walk to seven eleven
Poor wifi unless you sit 5m from reception router

For tagaytay itself see separate review from us 3

I had originally planned on staying 4 nights at Roberts Inn, due to the low, low price (27 USD / Night), but was held up in Guam for one night. This caused my previous reservation to be cancelled.

Lucky me!

Got to Cool Breeze and they had rooms at 1750 php / Night. The room was very adequate and clean. I originally purchased a single night, then extended it to 4, then stayed all 8 nights of my trip.

The bathroom was very usable - hot shower via heating unit.
The bed mattress was 4 inch heavy foam core (not the best, but very adequate.
The staff was fantastic.
The free breakfast was a definite bonus (2 eggs, 4 pieces of toast, nescafe+hot water)
The location was away from the Rotunda, but not facing Taal. (7 out of 10).
Parking is free, next to the hotel.
12 Room Hotel / 6 parking spaces.
Air Conditioning is strong, especially for the smaller rooms.
Room Size approx 4m x 6m (bathroom 1.5m x 2.5m, give or take)
If you stay 7+ days, you get a 10% discount.
No increased rates for weekend when we stayed.
Free Wi-Fi.
Short walking distance to several great restaurants with superior volcano views / settings.
(RSM, Buon Giorno, Leslie's, Max's, Kon Tiki, plus others)

ONLY NEGATIVE:
No PC Station to use as "business / email center"

For $42 USD / 1750 php per night, it was great.value.

and less expensive inn here at tagaytay that doesn't compromise the quality, Cool Breeze is a good choice. Accessible to everything you need, from restaurants, to your destination and etc. Good customer service. Clean room. Cold AC. and a good night sleep after a long day :)

We decided to have a staycation in tagaytay since we were attending a wedding around Alfonso the next day. Almost all of the affordable hotels were fully booked since its peak season, when we came across this hotel. The building is a little rundown however it is still decent for its price. They recommended we book the family room. It has 2 single beds and 1 bunk bed with additional 2 single mattresses. The ac is new, hence it is really cold. Unfortunately it’s already morning when we realized that the staff left 1 part of the window open. Staff are okay. They have a shower heater. They also have lots of space for parking. This is good just for sleeping.
