The Rivera hotel is great spot to stay in Tagaytay. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a friendly service. Located on the juction of Magallanes Drive and the highway it is prefect for restuarants and bars. The ayala mall is also in walking distance. With the right room you get a few of Lake Taal. For us it is a perfect location to stay in Tagaytay

Paid extra for a room with a veranda however due to a storm the receptionist said those rooms would potentially flood with water. We were not compensated for the extra money paid even with a down grade room. To make things worse other guests were offered these rooms on that night. Disappointed we did not get what we paid for. Disappointed there was no compensation or refund of the room price difference. NO water pressure for showers!! Would not recommend this hotel.

LOCATION: This hotel can be easily spotted as it's just a walking distance from Leslie's and other restaurants in Tagaytay. It's not that big, so it can be categorized as a BNB instead. THE ROOM: It's nice- big enough for a couple. We had a view of pool and the greens. It's clean and comfortable. THE FOOD: Hmmm... Eat out na lang. Hahaha! There's nothing special about their breakfast at all. THE SERVICE: The receptionist was nice and courteous. VALUE FOR MONEY: It's a bit pricey for me [P3000 with pool view]. There are other hotels in the area which offer better services and facilities.

For a bed and breakfast place that is not hard on my wallet, I cannot ask for more. This small hotel satisfies my needs. The place offers only around 9 rooms, with a clean swimming pool at the back, with a continental breakfast for overnight visitors and a free wifi. It is centrally located, fronting most of the popular bigtime restaurants, beside 7 11 for your 24 hour needs, with all major transport passing right infront of it but you don't hear the noise inside your rooms. I have been a regular visitor of this place but I have yet to find a worthy replacement that matches their price (for members). You can also ransack and use their kitchen if you want your take aways foods heated the next day. They have likewise upgraded their bedroom amenities. And the staff are very helpful. They sell very cheap Japan made porcelain / ceramics and other knickknacks. The downside is you need to pay in Cash.

It was an exhausted day in the office when we suddenly decided to go Tagaytay to unwind with my office mates. After long hours of travel we finally get there, had a drink and karaoke. After all that, of course we need a place to stay and sleep overnight. among all the short listed choices of course should qualify this criteria : swimming pool, parking area and breakfast, we decided to stay at this hotel. It was like a transient house but what we like the most was the swimming pool at the back of the building. we felt like it was a perfect of unplanned getaway. We enjoyed the morning dip after our breakfast and of course the comfort of our sleep of last night. we definitely will go back and invite with some friends.

We booked online and get discounts. The receptionist was accommodating. Our room was a Deluxe without veranda and very basic. Our room was facing the road on the second floor but we can't hear the noise from outside which is good. They offered free breakfast that was a toasted bread, sunny side-up egg and hotdog. It has swimming pool bother to use that. The place was really accessible because it was along the road so it is very easy to find. There are restaurants which is very near. I recommend this for only one or two nights stay.

A nice hotel just over the road from the most beautiful scenery of Taal Lake & Taal volcano. Price wise they over priced by at least P1000 a night, they dicount mid week but still are are over priced. You could commute to Manila easily & get a better hotel for the same money

We had to book this hotel since there weren't any left. The receptionist was accomodating. Our room was a Deluxe w/o veranda, and it was basic. The hotel had a lot of nice antique touches here and there, and the TV and A/C work properly. The beds were okay, not what I would say bad, but not good either. The breakfast are (as I remember) bread with strawberry jam and butter, and a hotdog/longanisa. The pool was filthy, so don't bother swimming. The view deck on top was also filthy, you can't even sit on the chairs, and the view wasn't really that clear since some restaurant blocked it. The location was nice. Overall, I would recommend this for only one or two nights because there really isn't anything to do too. I will stay here again.

Visited last May 18, 2015. Since it's summer, you would think that hotels with pools would ensure that their pool was ready. They have the filthiest pool I have ever seen. Considering that the tiles on the pool are white, The water is turning green already. You can clearly see that it's not maintained properly. Breakfast was stale bread with overcooked eggs, and instant coffee. You can get better accommodations and service for the same price range elsewhere.
