Cuddled up amidst the slope of Tagaytay Ridge, approximately 90 minutes away from Manila, The Lake Hotel Tagaytay is a picture of verdantly serene and majestic haven. The Mediterranean inspired architectural design is complimented by the breathtaking view of the world-famous Taal Volcano and the opulence of over a hundred year old trees sprawled along the cliff.

We had 3 days government seminar on this hotel. I was a hotelier by profession but turned into government employee when the pandemic strike the world. I was working at Manila Marriott before and other properties from the South for more than 15 years. In line with my expertise this is my comment about LAKEHOTEL. ACCOMODATION - the Lobby was good and spacious for bulk clients and first you will see the famous smallest volcano in the world that i think TAGAYTAY is very well known. Great for picture taking, Selfie and Groupie but not advice for social events since the garden is near by the rooms that might disturb other guest. Kudos to the pianist he never get tired playing the piano! ❤️ Special thanks to ANGELA PEREZ from the Front Office she never get tired of what she do, she knows what she does and she is a great communicator and was assisting us on our special needs specially in our rooms! FOOD - in the scale of 1-5 and the highest is 5 i gave them 3.5 because it was very filipino the selection from the buffet is very ordinary. They can upgrade the selection of foods in the near future. SERVICE - Thou, the facilities are ordinary the service is Brilliant. Kudos to the Restaurant and Banquet staff you perform very well they

The staff at The Lake Hotel were very friendly and helpful. The view and the outdoor pool are also top-notch. And the food is very good = 10/10! Can't wait for the hotel to be even better in the future.

We stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding a few minutes away. Hotel staff were generally friendly and helpful. The welcome is warm, though the individual standing guard at the gate could be a little more friendly. The hotel property is spacious and has a great view of the Taal lake, with the obligatory IG fixture on their lawn. It's obvious that the staff has experience in taking photographs of people and the scenery. Parking is ample, but not shaded. So the sun does beat down on vehicles. Best to keep the windows slightly open to let out the hot cabin air out. The hotel room is well equipped. Clean and functional. Room is well appointed. The pushbutton curtain is a welcome detail. Half finished renovations have marred the view from the balcony, but if doesn't totally ruin the overall experience. Noise suppression is a problem, as you can hear echoes from the lobby quite easily. The card receptacle was either disconnected or not working, as it did not shut off the electronics when the card is removed. TV viewing is juggling with two separate remotes instead of a universal one. No compendium in the room. Bathroom is clean and equipped with amenities. The Bathtub drain mechanism though needs to be attended to. Hot water is not as much as desired, but it does serve its purpose. WIFI in the room and around the hotel are not the greatest, for casual surfing and social media postings it's ok. Breakfast was ok, with the usual fair you find at other hotel properties. Pancakes could be better. The offerings didn't feature much local specialties. It would be good if the coffee is what Batangas was famous for. Sugar substitutes also would be nice. Waitstaff seems to not have a common theme in terms of uniform. At least they were prompt and present went needed, not dragging their feet when working. Unused furniture cluttered the corners of the dining space, making the audio equipment near the open gangway painfully out of place. The pool is beautiful. Not temperature controlled, but placed well enough to be under the sun most of the time. Not much space to go sunbathing. Clean towels are provided. Even though it's not a deep pool to begin with, there is a 'lifeguard' on duty. he could be a little more cheerful and approachable. Bathers though are in full view of the dining guests. So expect to be observed by the people inside in case you have a shapely figure. Safety signs are not that obvious. The Rules and Regulations poster could do with an update. It would be nice if the room had a compilation of literature that would recommend places to go to, places to eat nearby. A local map even. The hotel needs to clean up in terms of polish.

The junior suite was the right room to spend our anniversary with a fantastic view of Taal lake. It was spacious and the jacuzzi was the big plus of our stay. Although it needed fixtures with its controls. The water shower was basically hot and we couldn’t mix it with the cold. The automatic curtain controls needed to be repaired. The front desk made us feel welcomed although the concierge was indifferent when we were parking in the PWD slot. The buffet breakfast was good accompanied with an efficient waiter. We didn’t get to swim at the pool because of the volcanic smog but enjoyed the view behind our glass walled room. Oh, thank you for a plate of assorted fruits as anniversary greeting to us. We plan to go back within this year.

In Jan 2023, my wife and I and another couple stayed overnight at The Lake Hotel. Loved every minute! --great buffet breakfast --delicious dinner (special thanks to Jan Renecor D. Mojica, who made us very comfortable) --fantastic views at every point --the piano player in the lobby was incredibly talented, and the front desk was very friendly and informative. Highly recommended! This was the last stop on a bicycle tour which started in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. Our final day was a straight shot uphill from Luneta (the Manila Hotel), and the Lake Hotel was a great, restful destination.

The place has a spectacular view of taal. However the room and the carpet at the hallway smells moldy. We requested to be move to different room but the hotel was booked. We will definitely try a different hotel next time.

I find the service to be top notched. First, when I was inquiring over the phone, the staff are so accommodating (Angela). Upon Check-in, I was greeted by the warm service of Jam & Don. During our star the hotel is undergoing renovation (improvement) but the service, for me, is top notched. The view is spectacular. If you can get a balcony room, it will be worth it. Breakfast was great. A lot of variety available. The staff ensures that the food are fresh, replenished & presentable.

My stay at this hotel was a complete disaster, and I had to transfer to another hotel even though I still had one day left. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, given the various issues I faced during my stay. The room lacked proper heating, and the shower was a nightmare to use due to the lack of a functioning heater. The water was freezing. Imagine checking in at 1:00 AM after a long day from your wedding and expecting to get a nice hot shower before going to bed. Yeah, you won’t get that here. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi connection was terrible, with a weak signal that kept dropping every few minutes. It was almost impossible to use the internet or work efficiently. Given the poor quality of the hotel, I decided to transfer to another hotel even though I had already paid for the last day of my stay. I could not bear to spend another night in such a poorly-maintained room. In conclusion, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The lack of proper heating, outdated amenities, terrible Wi-Fi, and overall poor condition of the room led to my decision to transfer to another hotel. Save yourself the trouble and find alternative accommodation for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Booked this to celebrate valentines. Were so excited to spend the afternoon in the balcony and watch sunset. However, we were not informed that theres a wedding ongoing. The balcony was facing the wedding itself and as common courtesy we just didnt go out coz the cameras will see us too. And it lasted the whole night plus the noise from the reception until 10pm. If only I knew, I would have booked a different hotel. Its very disappointing and we didnt get the chance to spend the whole time with the view and since we only stayed overnight, we only got one chance to see the sunset there but we werent able to. I hope, you disclose nextime if there are events. Or better yet close the availability! Because it so unfair. We paid almost 8k for an overnight stay so we were expecting more and a peaceful stay coz we booked it Sunday. So less crowd from hotels. So sad. Will never go back here. Service is excellent. But still the way they decided to accept guests is so unfair and a waste of time for us.
