The hotel was nice room were comfy and clean. But the people working there are one of a kind. The staff were very helpful especially the Manager, Arthur and the staff Erwin. They went above and beyond their duty to give help to people in need of it. We went to Tagaytay last weekend unplanned, supposedly just a daytrip with my wife and 2 kids. But then our car broke down, just right in front of The Lake Hotel. I asked for assistance from a staff, Erwin if he knows a mechanic. Guessing it'll take a while for our car to be repaired since it was Sunday, I secured my family and checked in for an overnight stay. The manager on duty at the time made sure that my family is comfortable and showed a sincere concern with our situation since we have our 1 year old baby travelling with us. We manage to find an open car repair shop and this guy Erwin stayed with me late at night, until my car get fixed though his shift ended already even before I approached him for help. I could not thank you enough for making that day less stressful for us. I will definitely go back to this place and recommend you to every people I know and I will continue telling this story of kindness. Good people still exist in this world.…
We were welcomed by a charming live piano performance! The pianist even played "I See the Light" from the movie Tangled, when he saw we were with my little girl. The room is very clean and they had books to read which I find notable compared to other hotels. The employees were very courteous for the whole duration of our stay. The hotel is just walking distance from Magallanes Square, and SummitRidge, so you have a wide selection of restaurants to choose from! The buffet breakfast is superb! Mostly Filipino food but the quality is great! Their swimming pool is nicely situated with a great view of Taal, but it was too cold (it was December), so we enjoyed the pool for only 15-20 minutes. The only downside during our stay is the WiFi connection. I had to do work that night but I was unable to because of the slow connection. I suggest you bring a back-up internet connection if you need to work online. Hope that was just an exceptional day, because we'd love to go back!…
The hotel is well located. Unfortunately me and my wife had a bad experience since the room where we stayed was without Wi-Fi. We called the reception the first day (1 time) the second day (2 times) but no solution from them. After many calls the only solution was to move to another room but only for 1 day since the day after the hotel was fully booked. We decided to book in another hotel our last day.
We stayed in a Junior Suite recently at Lake Hotel Tagaytay. It looked like it may have been recently renovated as the floor tiles looked new. In the room there was a coffee maker (required pods from room service); 2 small bottles of water per day and amenity kits including masks and hand sanitizer. Bathroom was spacious and good water pressure in the shower. The shower did drain slowly but this seems to be something common at the property so don't think it was just the room we had. Views from the wrap around balcony were amazing of the lake, outdoor pool and Taal volcano; which could be seen steaming most morning. The staff was all super friendly including Allan Alavarin, who was especially attentive at the breakfast buffet. Food selection was great for a 'free' breakfast included in the room price. Typical Filipino food mostly but all very enjoyable; even the different soup of the days. Some standards on the selection including fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, adobo etc. Hotel location was great with Starbucks and other eateries close by and within walking distance (Bag of Beans, a Korean BBQ place we ate at, Balay Daco etc). There's an SM Minimart I think it was called close by for snacks, water etc. Hotel also allowed Grab delivery or at least didn't give us any issues with using it almost daily. There was construction on-going at the time on the right wing of the hotel but we were at the furthest room away from this and it wasn't bothersome. The piano player was great and would play in the breakfast buffet on the weekend; and in the lobby in most afternoon/evenings. The lobby bar had a great selection of drinks and the pricing was also very good for a hotel lobby bar. Would highly recommend this hotel and the staff for a future stay.…
Nice view of the Taal Volcano and lake at the lobby, swimming pool, and balconies. Enough parking spaces. Accommodating staff. Scrumptious breakfast buffet. Clean and fresh guest rooms. Wifi is good. Menu of Aldente Resataurant is recommendable. Though shower areas needs renovation as water does not drain well.
