The staffs were very accommodating, especially when i requested for a simple room set-up for our anniversary. Some of the facilities needs to be fixed or replaced. But overall experience was great, having to wake up in the morning with a breathtaking view of the lake.

For the price point, 8 Suites is “okay.” There was construction in the adjacent land when we got there so it kind of ruined the view. Jacuzzi was too hot and one of the staff tried to adjust it but it was “fixed” so he ended up putting a hose in the tub with running water to cool it down. The room had a certain wow factor when you came in, the beds are nice and comfy but there are some dust in the ceilings and the balcony is not as clean. Overall I would compare it more to a house that’s prepared for a guest than a hotel standard - like a beautiful but a little old house that’s not as well-maintained anymore but is still kind of comfortable. Wifi doesn’t work as much in the rooms compared to the lobby. Staff are great and you can see that they do their best. Looks great in photos though so you would be able to post good pics on your social media, if that is a priority. Overall, as mentioned, for the price, it is better than most transient homes or small stays in the area :)

The view is absolutely unreal and beautiful. Room are clean and spacious. Staffs are very helpful and friendly, like how one staff was playing guitar randomly while we were having our breakfast. We thought transportation was the issue, but the staff could help to arrange a triciycle for pickup.

The hotel itself is very basic. No pool, no gym, and nothing to do but sleep. F&B is weak, breakfast was included but best to forego it altogether. Tapa was tough, corned beef had too many potatoes, tawilis had a coating that didn't crisp it up nicely, pancakes were flat, coffee was pathetic, and hot chocolate didn't stand a chance against McDonald's. I tried to book through Agoda which was offering the same room for 5,999 but it wouldn't get through, so I opted to book directly at the site for a whopping P9,200. We chose this hotel due to the proximity to Tagaytay Highlands where our activities would be based on. Parking was insufficient so I had to settle on parking on an inclined ramp. They had a pricing scheme that didn't make sense. A room with one king bed was more expensive than a room with two queen beds and a pull-out. The sliding doors didn't lock and there was a construction beside the hotel which kept me up most of the night. Hot water was weak. Water pressure was also weak. The WIFI was atrocious, it was intermittent, slow, and couldn't even make Amazon Video work on the TV. The smoke alarm was falling off in the room which made it look like a peeping tom was doing his tricks on the device. The plus things, it was quiet, with no one singing karaoke in the middle of the night. The rooms are spacious, bigger than the usual hotel rooms. It is called 8 Suites after all. The staff was courteous even though clueless about basic operations. The road going here is narrow but not dangerous, there is no traffic in this area of Tagaytay. The location is quite hidden and would cater to couples who want a hideaway to do solicitous behaviors. The checkout is uncomplicated, again beneficial to people who would want a quick getaway. it will not impress a date however and be conducive to first timers. By the way, the hotel photos were taken when the hotel was newly built about 17 years. ago. I still remember this when I used to work for Tagaytay Highlands in 1999

During our stay at 8 suites, I was incredibly disappointed. We had booked a room with a great view of Taal lake, but that's not what we got. I kept calling their customer service number because of an issue with Agoda, but no one ever answered, even by email. When we arrived at the room it looked unkempt and neglected; there was dust all around the room and furniture, and the curtains were in desperate need of replacement. Worst of all, there was no hot water for us to shower in - something that we weren't warned about beforehand. Since we were staying in their Garden View Room, our door could not be locked properly which caused us some security concerns. All in all, this experience turned out to be a complete disaster which left me feeling frustrated and let down.

The view is amazing. We love it. But the tent can be cleaner and appealing since we chose glamping. We wasn’t able to enjoy the bonfire because the woods they used is not for bonfire. It’s very smokey which hurts our eyes. We had a bonfire before and it wasn’t like that. The sheets of the matress feels like it’s been there the whole time while there’s no guest or it wasn’t change at all. The towels not sure as well if it is clean. There is a two restroom near the tent and when we arrived the one cubicle smells like cigarette and the other one smells good. Smells good only but not prepped or cleaned for the guest. It’s not worth it.

This was supposed to be a romantic getaway for our wedding anniversary. We even splurged and got the most expensive room, more than 10k for one night! Now the room size, the bed, the setting, the view, the bathtub, the little dining table inside, all these were nice. The staff are superb, friendly, attentive, and efficient. No problem with these. The only thing that got to us is cleanliness, or more precisely, the lack of it. This is what got to us. The room is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and balconies, but all are so dirty. It’s nowhere near the amount of money we paid. If this was less than 5k it’s maybe forgivable. But at more than 10k, we feel cheated. This issue cannot be seen in the pictures and the promotional materials. So disappointed by this one thing that could have made it superb. Cleanliness and maintenance are the top priorities of any hotel because they are very important, and very achievable. If 8 Suites can do something about this, we will come back. Otherwise, we would rather spend our money elsewhere.

I booked the hotel at the last minute. Just wanted to be in town for an early morning activity. The room was of good size, it has a large balcony with an excellent view of the lake and surrounding countryside. The staff was very accommodating. There were a number of negatives though... (1) there were no glasses in the room, either for drinking or brushing, (2) the shower takes forever to heat up, (3) the restaurant closes at 9pm, (4) the tv is placed smacked in front of the work desk, so you cant work and watch tv at the same time, (5) wifi is weak inside the room. Other than these though, the view and comfortable bed makes up for whatever the hotel lacks

The location of this boutique hotel is very near Palace in the Sky and Tagaytay Highlands. It's on a side road far from the main ridge road, so it offers a lot of privacy and quiet. The rooms are well-appointed. I could imagine booking the entire place for a family get-together for a major celebration. It appears most, if not all, the rooms have great views of the volcano. I was just a bit disappointed with the quality of the breakfast (small servings and mediocre coffee ). Nearby (5 minutes by car) is the very charming Cafe Voila which serves all-day breakfast and Thai food.

Super love the place! The Master room's bathtub is so beautiful for pictorial and the Premium room's view is very relaxing. We super enjoyed the privacy and peacefulness of the place. We had our food set-up in our room and also requested for a romantic dinner set-up. The staff was very accomodating. It could have been better if there would be more promos and discounts. WE SUPER LOVE THE PLACE. And recommend this place!! For improvement, some plumbing fixtures need to be sealed because there are some leaks in the bathroom, but it did not bother us that much. We will surely come back and book the Premium room! 😍
