If it were for the staff I could put a 10 if it were for the location as well, but .......

Obviously when you pay you demand, there are many cheaper places, I went there due to a mistake with my original reservation in another place, tired from a long trip and I paid a high price for what it is.
1 the cold water the first day, I say it at reception, they come and they give it to a place under the sink and it comes out hot when three minutes later it is cold again, I come out with dripping soap I call reception and it is hot again but after two minutes another sometimes cold water

At 6:12 in the morning in the hall near my room laughing, talking, etc., making it difficult to sleep because you can hear everything.

The small refrigerator in the room makes a lot of noise, the motor had to be unplugged during the night
The breakfast that includes in the price of the continental 300 PHP, the equivalent of €5 in Spain, toast with butter and jam that in Spain is €2, is a hotel that aspires to much and has possibilities but much to improve.

I cant remember how many times i booked here, because this is our favorite hotel when in tagaytay. Location was good, near supermarket, shopping mall, fastfood, tiangge , bakeshop. That is why i decided to get membership here so that we would just go whenever we wanted . And the housekeeping were all friendly and accomodating to us. But i was a bit dissappointed last december when i decided to book here for our school reunion. The front desk didnt want to waived security deposit. I told them i am a regular guests and they always waived my deposits , they told me that they already change their rules since january of 2019. I told them how can it be possible when i was there last may 2019 where we celebrated mothers day and august of 2019 when we welcome a balikbayan guests (they even help me surprise my friend and decor the room as a welcome surprise and the manager told me he cant remember ???) and they didnt ask for security deposit for both stays. I told them that they should atleast give consideration for those who have membership..still they insist me to have a security deposit..... Now im having second thought if i will still renew my membership.

For a group of 4 pax, this was a bargain for a last minute booking. The bunk bed setup of the room is just perfect to a group of us who just decided to go to Tagaytay all of a sudden.

The room itself is already dated but they have upgraded the TV. The bathroom has seen better days but still clean at least.

Checking in at 10pm we were expecting at least to have the room ready at our arrival. Still we had to wait :D

Pool area has been renovated too. Breakfast selection was a joke.

My family celebrated the New Year's Eve here at Tagaytay Country Hotel. We were given a newer and a bigger room this time. Still, everyone is so friendly and helpful. I just really feel at home whenever I am here.

Thank you for always making me feel at home!

Be back soon!

On our tenth anniversary, my hubby and I decided to take a weekend off at a resort with a spa in Tagaytay. After some online research we chose Tagaytay Country Hotel because they had nice photos of the place, a spa with well-priced services and a Rainy Day Promo that was way within our budget - it offered overnight accommodations plus a one-hour massage.

I called the Manila office of Tagaytay Country Hotel on a Monday to make reservations for the Rainy Day Promo and the lady who answered was very friendly, answered all my questions and took my reservation.

But four days later, when I asked my hubby to call them up again to reconfirm, he was surprised; the person who answered said that the price of Rainy Day promo went up! ARGH!!!

My husband asked to talk to the manager but when he got on the line he did not seem inclined to give us the original price of the promo saying that the promo price was increased on Tuesday, the day after I made the reservation. He was quick to point out that in Tagaytay Country Hotel's ad for the Rainy Day Promo it is clearly stated that prices were subject to change without notice.

My hubby was quick to respond, "Well, in that case, my reservation is also subject to change without notice," and he put the phone down.

Now I am not from the hospitality industry but the sudden rate change that Tagaytay Country Hotel foisted upon us felt so inhospitable. And I was angry because our anniversary plans were dashed to pieces.

Was I wrong to feel this way?

Tagaytay Country Hotel's promo DID have that caveat, "prices are subject to change without notice," written on the ad. I've seen that phrase many times but I always thought that ONCE YOU HAVE MADE A RESERVATION the price at that point is the price that you pay.

Can anyone from the hotel industry explain this to me? Is what Tagaytay Country Hotel did messed up or were they justified?

Thankfully, there was another place in Tagaytay we could go to - Nurture Spa. It was twice the cost of Tagaytay Country Hotel BUT well worth it!!! Will be writing a review on our weekend stay there...

We had a reservation for 3D2N at this hotel for 4 adults and 1 kid last Jan. 31 - Feb. 2, 2014 which we paid in advance to our travel agency with a hotel voucher which specified daily breakfast for 4 adults included. The first day breakfast was given without hassle but on the 2nd day we were given a breakfast stub good for 2 adults only. I asked for the stub for the other 2 adults but was told by the lady front desk staff ( I forgot to get her name ) that the complimentary breakfast was good for the first day only. I complained (holding my temper) and told her politely that I paid for 4 adults but she insisted that it was good for 2 adults only. What I did was to go back to my room and get a copy of the Hotel voucher which clearly stated that daily breakfast included and I was about to call my travel agent to complain but the lady staff told me that its okay already after arguing with her for half an hour. Another thing is that my reservation was for a room with queen size bed and 2 single beds but was given only 2 folding beds. One more thing - the hotel should prioritize their guests for the parking slots but it so happened that they have a function on our 2nd night of stay and the parking slots were given to the guests of the function so what happened was we have to park our car on the street and have to wait for the function to finish and their visitors to leave before we could park our car properly inside the hotel premises.

My family decided on a last minute trip to Tagaytay. All the other hotels are fully booked, as the date is a national holiday. We searched the net and found this hotel the only one with availability, now I understand why!

First, when making the booking, the prices that were posted in the net were'nt updated. Reservations said the website is rarely updated. Fine. We were quoted a higher price. We booked 3 rooms. 2 Deluxes (sort of a family room) and 1 Superior (double room) We were told that the Deluxe rooms could take in 4 people. But when we arrived there is 2 single beds in the room! We were paying for 4 people and the room doesn't even have 4 pillows in them! When I tried to request additional everything (pillows, blankets) I was being charged P50.00 for each! It is an absolute rip-off!!

My brother in law ordered room service at 10pm and was told that the kitchen is already closed! The room service menu said it's 24hours service! And I will not even get into the details of the breakfast the next morning! Even the customer service of the staffs were very poor.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. With its steep price, there's hardly any service you could be happy with! I think staying in a self catering apartment would be better!

We made the booking last minute, we didn't want to drive back home to Manila and wanted to stay the night. We stayed Xmas day and I wish my future self told me to stay away! First of all, the dinner which was served buffet style was mandatory. If you're staying the night you have to eat there.

FOOD
The food was quite substandard. Maybe I'm a bit biased because I'm comparing it to The Manila Pensinsula and Huma Island Resort and Spa, but heck they charged us 180 Australian dollar for the night stay, you thought the food would be okay. It's not okay, the fish was undercooked and looked like Salmonella is its closest friend. I'm travelling with a 4 year old so, didn't want to take the chance with the food and walked to McDonalds.

ROOMS
The rooms were also substandard, we opted for the Superior Room but there was nothing superior about it.
1. The bed sheets and pillow smelled like it hasn't been changed.
2. There are multiple wifi spots and none of them worked.
3. The shower didnt look like it was ever cleaned. When I ventured to use it the next morning, the shower control handle felt of its threading. When I tried to close the shower door it nearly landed on my foot when it fell of its railings.
4. The room floors looked dirty.

I told them at the reception and they said they would check but it was near our check out so I told them not to bother.

I stayed with a group of 14 so my other family members had to cram in a 4 bed room booking. That's 4 beds in one tiny room. If our room was bad and we had the superior room. Theirs was even worse! I don't even want to comment.

Funny that it reminded me so much of Fawlty Towers! But the place is really disgusting. Funny upon check out I was informed that they needed to check the room before I can check out. Funny ha ha.

SERVICE
My wife can't talk Tagalog and when she was looking for my family's room at the dungeon, she asked for help and they replied in Tagalog, upon clumsily telling them she can't speak Tagalog, they laughed at her and talked in Tagalog. My wife told them at the spot that they were rude.
The phone calls need to be transferred through, when I was enquiring about the process the staff on the other line put me on hold, but I heard the conversations between the staff. To say the least, the conversation they had were not flattering in regards to the customer, yeah me.
