Upon arrival, the people in charge of receiving guests seemed unsure of what they were doing and service was slow. You need to walk a long way through the zoo, the restaurant, and the uneven stone steps before you get to your room. This could be a hassle if you have a lot of baggage to bring in, and if you have companions with physical disability. Not PWD friendly at all. No one helped us out in bringing our stuff into the faraway room. Room had cobwebs at the corners and under tables, and the bathroom looks really shady. No place to put any bath items besides the toilet seat cover. They do not serve free bottled water, usually a standard for hotels to serve at least two per night. They served a pitcher of iced water from the restaurant upon request. The water had a lot of white particles in it, though, so I decided not to drink it. The drinking glasses placed on the tray on the table smelled like cockroaches. 😫🤢 The parking area in front of the hotel / zoo is in the midst of a row of stores selling local products and souvenirs. Very busy place. Not for those looking for peaceful and quiet surroundings. I will not recommend this place. Booked this through a Metrodeal voucher for approximately P2,500 per night, without breakfast (forgot the exact figure). To be honest, there are other inns and hotels in Tagaytay that are way better than this for the same price, sometimes even cheaper. Did not take photos of the bed area and bathroom as it is not very appealing. …
A little over an hour from Mania and you can enjoy the cool weather of Tagaytay City. Residence Inn is strategically located for their guests to enjoy not only the weather but also the majestic view of Taal volcano. It also offers a wide range of activities for both day trip and overnighters. It's amenities includes mini zoo, horseback riding, animal show, photo op, zip line and gastronomic adventures. Guests can choose to enjoy the Korean restaurant Samgyupsalamat or the local food stalls just outside the main entrance. It is a simple and intimate way of bonding with friends and families. A great option for those travelling alone looking for some "me" time. Anyone who will get to visit this place will experience the joy of communing with nature and the bliss and serenity the place and view can provide. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.…
We went here to try the horseback riding with my son, fortunately it was very affordable and fun! The ride costs Php50 for 3 rounds. Then we decided to get in, the entrance for adults are 249, kids 199 and applicable 20% discount for seniors. Its a cool and interesting place for the kids because there is an interaction with the animals that the kids can touch. My son tried the picture and pet with the lion cub, snake, eagle, owl, he also fed the camel, goats, small horse, etc. For the interaction and pic costs only 20-50 pesos, good deal and a good experience for the kids. They also have a animal show. They also have activities like zip line, a lot of souvenir shops and an unlimited korean samgyupsal restaurant inside with smokeless grill! Overall we enjoyed our time here! Very well recommended for the family and kids.…
A trip in Tagaytay will never be complete without a horseback riding for my 2 children... We always opt to go to the once in Residence Inn as it is not to crowded - we have a parking, the price is also not bad at PhP 50.00 per head for 3 rounds. I think that is good enough as the ride won't go that far anyway.. I don't need to be approached by too many offers just like in the Picnic Grove. My children wanted to try the zip line however there was no operator on duty - I was told he got sick... too bad. Well maybe next time..
The place is small and the animals are only a few. But still the animals that were present really made a show. =) Children will love this place. Just a little observation about the lion? It looks thin? Or malnourished.
Was supposed to check in here with my dog since it says on their site they are pet friendly, good thing we called first to confirm! The operator said they are pet friendly because they have a zoo but no pets allowed! Duh.
The Residence Inn is a "must experience" when visiting Tagaytay. Met the Manager, Marie Rojo, a charming, pleasant and accommodating lady! Food is delicious and reasonably priced and all of us, especially my niece had a memorable time! The view is lush and green and makes for an exhilarating adventure. Staff are courteous, professional and well-trained to assist in all activities for both kids and adults. Kids will marvel at all the wondrous exhibits and animal interaction and adults will willingly be transported back to their magical and happy childhood!
We had so much fun staying at Residence Inn. Rooms are safari inspired. This place is highly recommended for the adventurous and the true animal lover. The place offers a great view of Taal. They have nice collection of animals. They even offer a zip line/cable car. Food is good and reasonably priced. Be prepared however to walk a distance from your room to where the attractions are located. Wifi is unavailable. African lovebirds can be hand-fed. Photo ops can be had with the tiger cub which will greet you when you enter the place, birds, etc. for a minimal fee.
I had so much fun at the Residence Inn! It is a 6 in 1 destination. Not only will you be able to interact with different animals like tiger, lion, monkey, camel etc. but you'll also have fun at their zip line and cable ride. Third, the food is yummy! I love their pancit! Fourth there is a lot of shops inside. Fifth, the animal show and magic show is a very educational, Sixth the million lights ambiance is so romantic that your partner might just proposed to you in an instant!
My wife and I truly had a great time here at Residence Inn. We enjoyed the ambiance with even a tiger cub greeting us at the entrance. We also enjoyed the mini-zoo inside the premises, we heard the growling of the lion, tigers, and amphibians and reptiles. We also had great time with the cable car and zip line. The food was also very yummy.
