We stayed here for three nights during the wet season. The hotel is located in Old Bagan which is a nicer area than New Bagan. It is also located basically within the pagodas and on the banks of the Ayiewaddy River. We had a riverside...More

The hotel has a very nice faded colonial feel to it. My wife and I spent two nights there and found it to be very relaxing. Our river view room was large and contained everything we needed. The patio area provided a nice area overlooking...More

This is a lovely hotel on the banks of the Irriwaddy River in the heart of Old Bagan. Just steps from the front entrance you can see ancient temples and the museum is right there as well! Very nice grounds, a large pool, cocktail terrace...More

The hotel is very well located, close the the Pagodas and with nice view to the river. If you stay there, don't miss the sunset. It's probably the best sunset spot in Bagan. Breakfast was above average with a nice western breakfast.

Hello folks, I've been trying to book a hotel and have read reports that old Bagan is the way to go. Of the main hotels in old Bagan this hotel seems to have good reviews and although more expensive than new Bagan hotels the location seems to be great. I'll be travelling alone so have been trying to pick which hotel to book so I'd be really grateful for your advice. Ladies would you have felt comfortable staying if you'd been travelling solo? If I'm looking to do early sunrise and late sunset trips so I might be only eating in the hotel rather than other restaurants for 2 nights - would there be enough variety for that? Additionally did you travel out on day trips and return in the dark alone - did you feel safe? Thanks so much - your comments and advice are gratefully received. Happy travels, M

The river view rooms on the lower level are accessible by stairs only. The same goes for the spa. There are a few river view rooms on the same level as the rest of the hotel that are wheelchair accessible. I would guess... More

I believe you will need at least 3 nights at this hotel as there is so much to see in Bagan. We arrived in Bagan by minibus from Inle Lake so Im not sure if the hotel can arrange airport collection. My advise would be to ask... More
