Magkadigkadi Camp is elegant and locally constructed. It has Setswana buildings with Persian rugs and pillows on the mud packed floor. Tents were very comfortable with open air showers and toilets. It has excellent food and outings. We spent one day on the pans riding quads which was an amazing experience. One night we sat on the expansive salt pans with our evening drinks while watching a dramatic thunder storm in the distance.

So... this is not for backpackers. But it was nicest place that I have ever stayed, anywhere, not just in Africa. But, the cost reflects it They also have the best showers. I am a solo backpacker who showed up when I met some people in Maun. For me, it was a little unnerving to have people carry all my bags and have dinner served with multiple forks, knives, and wine glasses. having said that, I could definitely get used to it. We also had the Bushman dancers which I was worried would be exploitative but was an amazing experience. it was moving and inspiring and I felt as though we were watching a ritual and not a performance

What an amazing experience! Sleeping under the stars in a wilderness like no other. We were a group of 12. Eight ladies and four gents. Ranging from 46 to 69 years old. Some of the biddies got a little lost getting too and from the loo's but overall everyone really enjoyed the novelty. Good food nod informed guides would recommend it to anyone with a little sense of adventure
