What a wonderful and lovely place to stay. I enjoyed every single minute and felt like home away from home. The huts are spacious and I absolutely loved the outdoor shower. It gave you the right adventure feeling. But one of the highlights was sure my daily coffee at Carol's and. the wonderful cooked dinner by Maggie & her friends. Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience at the Okovango Delta. I'll be back for sure!

We were at Discovery the 24th of December and the only guests, just before Christmas. Though most of the staff were at leave we experienced a warm welcome. Because of Christmas and the lack of staff and guests the restaurant was closed for diner. We were offered to make use of the kitchen instead. Clean room, great staff and management. Well situaated between Maun and Moremi. Electricity for the car fridge. Lots of shade.

This was our second stay in the B&B and it was absolutely excellent. Warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere result in a home away from home feeling. The personal attention from both Rene and Marije is fantastic. We would love to come back one day!

Everything is excellent at the the BB discovery. We were without a car in maun and looking for some accomodation for a few days. Marije and Rene organized everything to pick us up, they gave advice for everything. The personnel is very friendly and their cooking (breakfast and diner) is excellent. the fire place after diner is great to share stories with the other guests. Rooms are clean and functionnal. Very good value for money. highly recommended. Thanks.

Very nice B&B. The complete complex is well maintained and nicely decorated. The owners and the staff are very friendly and take care of their guests. Dinner is superb and fair prices as well for drinks. The Chalets are rustic but very clean. We felt very comfortable.

Discovery Bed and Breakfast is the best place for you if you are looking for a calm, beautiful authentic African lodging experience. The rooms are simple and very neat with an outdoor shower thats breathtaking. The breakfast is amazing and the hosts are kind enough to pack your breakfast if you have a morning trip scheduled. Dinner is exquisite and the hosts and chef are so careful with your dietary restrictions and cater to your needs. We made so many new friends and the hosts keep you entertained with stories about the lodge. They were super helpful with booking our activities in maun. We were young and a small group of 3 girls but we felt safe as well. Staying at the lodge is an experience on its own and I recommend this place wholeheartedly,

I was concerned about booking a place on the outskirts of Maun but did it for practical reasons as I was working nearby. However, the moment I stepped onto the property I knew that I had made the correct decision. The property is beautiful and tranquil. Even the birds agree. The owners are attentive and welcoming and the best part of the experience for me was the family atmosphere that exists. The staff are wonderful and warm, and if you need a ride into town or a quiet Makoro ride down the river then that can be arranged for you with extended members of the Discovery B&B family. I felt comfortable having my local colleagues spend an hour or two in the evening around the fire having a drink, and all of the guests that I met were wonderful. It you are lucky enough to be able to have dinner there then don't turn down the opportunity! I was also pleasantly surprised to find an affectionate cat or two on the property. I will be back.…

Our family of 5 had 2 separate overnight stays at the Discovery B&B - after our first night there, the kids especially couldn't wait to get back again to visit the friendly cats who would sit on their laps for cuddles. Needless to say, we loved this place, which is in a quiet location only a short walk from the river. The gardens are beautiful and we happily spent time sitting on our verandah or over at Carol's cafe. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed, although the lighting is a little dim. The beds were comfy and warm, as was the shower which had plenty of hot water. On the first night we chose to also have dinner at the restaurant after a very long journey, but it was so good, there didn't seem to be much point in going anywhere else, so we booked in for dinner on our second night as well. We had a lovely stay at Discovery B&B before and after our mobile river safari in the delta. Marije is very helpful and always around to suggest places to visit, or to attend to her guests’ needs. Maggie and her team cooked us delicious traditional Botswana dishes for breakfast and dinner each day and we were very impressed with their hospitality and kindness. Our party included a vegan guest who was welcomed and attended to with amazing vegan options. The huts were very comfortable with lovely hot, high pressure outdoor showers. Highly recommend Discovery if you are on your way to or from your safari, or need a stopover to split up a long drive. Thanks Marije and Team!

Discovery B&B was the perfect place to spend our first night in Botswana. After a 2 day journey from California we were very tired. Relaxing around the fire and great conversations with other guests plus a special dinner served that night was just what we needed. The rooms are comfortable and after a good night’s sleep we were ready for our morning flight to the Okavango Delta. The owners are very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend staying here.
