Maun Lodge is celebrated for its great value and comfortable accommodations, though the breakfast pricing sometimes disappoints. The hotel's cleanliness receives consistent commendation, with travelers enjoying the well-kept rooms and the refreshing lodge environment. While the accommodations are spacious and tidy, a few guests suggest they could benefit from modernization. The staff's professionalism contributes to the warm atmosphere, earning accolades from guests who also appreciate the cozy beds and good water pressure. Located amidst scenic views with easy access to the main road, Maun Lodge's inviting atmosphere and bonfire evenings make it a welcoming retreat.

They charged us double of their online rates because we were tourists and didn’t have wifi or phone connections. The hotel restaurant has absolutely no items we ordered available over both the days we stayed and the staff were dismissive and rude, to the point where we left the hotel to find food elsewhere. Rooms are not worth the price they charged us; plagued with mosquitoes even though we had the doors closed all day, sheets had stains and they are outdated for what the price point is. Not worth the money and a lot better options available in Maun; we wish we had known.

We just finished a 4 night stay (this was my 3rd visit to Maun lodge). We loved our stay and many small but significant things that made our stay memorable. The functional elements like a good strong WiFi throughout the lodge premises including the parking area , the regular refilling of drinking water bottles, clean and tidy rooms which are cleaned once a day. One evening my wife and I tried for a while unsuccessfully to hail a taxi as we wanted to attend mass at the nearby church. We asked the front office ladies for help , they came to the gate and tried to help us but without success. As it was getting late, we decided to skip mass and went back to the room . Within 5 mins there was a knock on the door, a bell boy was there informing us that he has been instructed to drop us to church in the hotel car. We were thrilled. Little things like this made our stay magical

Nice and clean
The room was to the standard I expected
Location was central to my activities!
The service provision was top notch. The level of attention to detail during our ordering of breakfast and the freshness thereof will make me to always use these facilities. But you should work on providing gym activities I was forced to take a road workout during my stay.

We booked into Maun Lodge on our way to the Okavango Delta - needless to say we will not be back- they were renovating the Boma so meals were messy. The room next to ours seemed to have had a lot of visitors who only left the room at 3 am. I had heard it was noisy but did not realise it would be like this- it definitely served it’s purpose

We stayed here twice so my reviews are different for each stay. We came here when we first landed in Maun and although we booked 2 chalets they gave us 2 dumpy rooms right next to the reception. The shower didn’t work and it was really run down. I also had a bag of laundry done-maybe 7ish pounds- and it cost $40! Breakfast is $17 so expensive for Botswana. We also came back with our Safari tour and this time we were given 2 great chalets that were in good repair and just great. All meals were also included this time so it was a very good stay. That’s why I am giving it 3 stars. Make sure you are actually going to get a chalet when you book it.

There should be ramps and rails everywhere in the facility to make mobility easy for those on wheelchairs. menu in rooms should be on braille for blind persons to read for themselves. Employ some persons with disabilities as some of them have culinary skills for inclusivity, also this will work for you to show that you want to improve your service.

As earlier indicated, there is need to introduce the Porter crew to assist customers as they check -in to the reception and to the rooms. Infact i witnessed a number of customers struggling to find their allocated rooms after they have checking -in from the reception. Some even carrying heavy bags by themselves instead of been assisted by the hotel staff or the porter(S) as the case maybe.

Maun lodge is located conveniently along the river and major road, it is clean and has ample parking space for guests. The dinner by the Boma makes for a nice experinece with people from all over the world visibly excited to be there.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

HI, We were there in September 2016. A dinner buffet cost 140 pula per person at that time. We had a very nice and tasteful buffet. I have no idea about the prices a la carte.

Yes, but they are not very reliable. At Maun Airport are lots of travel agents - you should book there. Anyhow - if there is no need to stay at Maun Lodge, choose another lodge ,lots of them are much better
