The lodge is situated close to the Nxai Pan and Makgadigadi National Parks, which are both absolutely worth a visit. The staff is warm and welcoming, the tents are good, with very comfortable beds, and the food is great! Our guide, David, was excellent.

We stayed at Leopard Plains in June 2022, only now getting round to writing this review due to life getting in the way! We spent 3 nights in one of the safari tents, it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming. Food was freshly cooked and delicious. We had a day just chilling at our tent, watching Kudu and Impala walking to the waterhole not far away. We also went on the trip to Nxai Pan and Baines Baobabs. We really enjoyed our trip to the Baobabs, it was quite a long day but so worth it.

We spent 2 nights in this wonderful lodge, coming from Nxai Pan, going to Moremi. Our tent was top notch, very clean and comfortable, very large and good bed. We loved the food, all was delicious, from breakfast over lite bites for lunch and diner. The game walks were great, with a lot of birds, antelopes, gnu. Only the game drives (on the lodge ground) could not match what we were used to see in Makgadikgadi or Nxai Pan. All were extremely friendly, helpful and the manager couple a joy to meet. Thank you all!

Leopard Plains is a great spot for many, many reasons: it's centrally located between the major wildlife hotspoits; its staff and management are superb and go way above the normal call of duty; the rooms are huge, spotless and really easy; the wildlife on the property is fantastic; and the list goes on... I'll definitely be back.

We stayed here for 2 nights and did an enjoyable guided day trip to Makgadigadi Pans National Park as well as morning game drive on the property. Lovely setting. Received a warm and friendly reception. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed cooling off in the swimming pool in the severe late September heat. The bar area and dining area are lovely. Unluckily we did not experience much of the tranquility and peace, since they were also accommodating a large group of motorcyclists participating in an event over the same two days we were there. However, Carina and her staff made every possible effort to accommodate us and ensure and enjoyable stay.

Luxury tents, stars almost near to touch, awesome dinner, great drinks, romantic time at the fire place. This stay has been really special and unique for us. We would have loved to stay more than 1 night und will definitely come back if we travel again to Botswana. Very close to Maun, easy to find, good roads to drive, excellent service und lovely people.

An oasis of calm with very warm welcome from Cabala, lovely welcome drink and personal attention taking us to our room, which was beautifully made up. As it was cold in the evenings at this time of the year, when we went to bed a hot water bottle (Bush baby) had been put in the bed. Food was fantastic cooked by Cabala, with the open air restaurant overlooking an area of their park/farm where the wild animals come to get water. A log fire was lit in the evening where guests could sit outside in front of it after dinner. The entire staff are a credit to Carolina, we were so impressed that we cancelled a stay at another guest house to return to Leopard Plains for another night. Lovely breakfast with freshly cooked options also. All the food is home made, including the bread which was made fresh each day.…

Response from Tim Flachberger, Owner at Leopard Plains
Responded 30 May 2022
Sehr geehrte Frau Rasmussen!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Leopard Plains. The location is excellent and there seem to be plenty of game to see in the farm. The lack of a Guide even within the farm was one negative, fortunately we had other things to do with our afternoon.
