Generally the service was very good. I liked the manner in which lights, aircon and TV are activated. on that one you're out of this world. It saves power unlike the usual one where one can leave room the whole day with the aircon, lights and tv on. The location of the hotel is world standard.
One of the things I did not like during my stay was the noise from the Bar at late hours, and lack of provision areas for smoking customers. I would also suggests fund permitting to provide each room with Ironing equipment & a microwave.

The overall assessment of my stay at the Cresta Maun. I have found it to be average...........i realised that my bedding was not well washed, the sheets had some brown stains. On saturday the 07th my roomed was cleaned very late despite the fact that i was not in the room from 0900 to 1300, to allow cleaning. Electricity from the sockets was not always available, so i had problems charging my phones and the lap tops.

Great service. Only issue for me was that the aircons remote was nit working and only go sorted 2 days later after flagging it
Otherwise the staff were friendly and service was good .
Recomendation
Please turn the aircons on before a customer returns to chill the rooms . Maun heat is too strong . It would be nice to get back to a cool room

Dear stanleykaseke, Thank you for your feedback and lapses noted. We have ensured an improved turnaround time for assistance, however due to the set up in the rooms our aircons will only switch on with an active room card inserted in the power pocket upon entry. Our environmental best practice based on our Green accreditation requires improved conservation initiatives with electricity forming a huge component to this, hence power usage in our room is only activated by the guest's key card when in the room. We spent one night at this hotel, before heading to the Delta. A great (and necessary) service is the free transfer from Maun airport. The hotel is not near the airport. The food was good average and the prices were reasonable.
The room, and I presume others as well, probably needs a revamp . There was a slightly jaded air to the room, although it was comfortable. There waas a fridge in the room. The shower cubicle is part of the room. When we didn't manage to get the air con working, a gentleman was there in seconds to put it right.
Breakfast was Covid-cautious, with gloves to be donned before we helped ourselves to the buffer, and social distancing markers on the floor.
All in all, absolutely fine for our stopover.

Honesty integrity: Most staff memebers want to make a gain for them selves and as such they turn to push away clients.e.g I book for a boat cruse and compared to the normal was charged way to much if i had not complained was going to pay k1.1 for a 1hour 10min cruze.
The hotel need to be dealing with honesty and genuine support systems e.g for boats, game drives etc

Hotel needs to pay more attention to details. Minor repairs needed in the room I stayed in, shower head needs to be cleaned (didn't work great), toilet brush was dirty (DISGUSTING), and room service staff dropped off room service not properly wearing mask.
Could have easily been a pleasant stay, but they are dropping the ball on little things that are easily fixable.

I would definitively not recommend this hotel if you are doing a safari. It is really a business hotel and it destroys the great impressions you got when you stayed before at lodges. The happy hour parties do also not stop at 10.00 as announced in the rooms but last until 11.00. The service is very poor although a lot of people are around. After check in I asked for the missing towels and a linnen, 3 hours later nothing. No announcement neither that at one evening they would not serve buffet. The pool on the picture does not has the size as you would imagine. The air condition is very loud but you cannot open the windows during the night as there is no Moskito net. Positiv can be remarked that the food we ate was good.

hotel locate on the good view of the river. its isolated and give peace of mind. transport is easily accessible. the hotel is also around the delta make easy access to the swamps, game reserves such as M0remi game reserve.

The first time we stayed at Cresta Maun was December 2021 for my son's birthday. We were supposed to spend 3 nights there but ended up leaving after night #2. The service was just atrocious.
My wife convinced me to give it another shot this time around, but.... seems nothing has changed service-wise. Arrived to find our room had been given away, even after confirming that we were on our way. They found us another room at Cresta Riley's for the night, but management wasn't even apologetic. We moved back to Cresta Maun the following day, and the nightmare continued. At supper time, we were presented with a bill for lunch that we didn't eat. We explained it wasn't ours, but the same bill came to haunt us at checkout time.
When we made our booking, some promises were made. But unfortunately, they were not fulfilled as we only spent 1 night at Cresta Maun instead of 2. And we were made to fill it was our fault we didn't spend the 2 nights we had booked there. Management was called, but unfortunately, nothing was done. The front desk manager, Pamela, even ignored our call. We left without being assisted, mainly because I wasn't well and just wanted to get back home
My wife ordered a milkshake after supper, it took ages to come, but it tasted like frozen milk with sugar. Fortunately, the restaurant management salvaged the situation, and a proper milkshake was brought.
I could go on and on. Needless to say, this is our last time at Cresta Maun. sad because we are loyal Cresta patrons. We even have the card and everything.

The weather is hot during the days at night it cools down but still hot. June nights tends to get a bit chilli at night.
