Christmas dinner in Maun. We were so well looked after. Cocktails followed by interesting food. Great explanations about what the local foods were as well as some interesting information about the local area. A meal and an introduction to Botswana! The rooms are clean and decor is great. However the service during our stay from 29 December 2022 to 02 January 2023 was VERY, VERY POOR. Cresta Maun MANAGEMENT need to choose whether they are running a night-club / disco or a hotel. The hotel had "events" from 29 December 2022 till 01 January 2023. We were unable to access the hotel premises on 31 December 2022 as night-clubbers had blocked the entrance and the gate. There was no parking inside the premises for residents. After FIGHTING our way in, we parked at the laundry area as that was the only parking space. In the morning of New Year's, we were woken up before 7am by the Reception asking us whether we were the owners of the Jeep as it needed to shift. We were not the owners of the Jeep as clearly indicated by the check-in form which the hotel reception had in their system. On the evening of 01 January 2023, there was an event again. This time however, the gate entrance was better controlled although as residents, it was still a challenge to find parking in the premises. Service delivery to residents was non-existent as staff were OVERWHELMED by managing the "events". We were FORCED to eat packed ribs and chips in the evening of 01 January 2023. That was the better option out of 4 choices of PACKED dinner in take-away packs - as residents of the hotel. We considered going-out but we were tired from our activities and we were not sure whether being New Year's, any food outlets would be open. So we ate over-seasoned ribs & chips in take-away packs. However when to the bill, we were of course charged fine dining prices. From this experience I would NEVER again stay at Cresta Maun. It has a reputation. Very relaxing place, friendly stuff, and well thought through design. A must visit place for either your business or leisure. The meals were of great quality, rooms simple, clean yet functional. The views and the landscaping fits the environment. Will certainly bring the family next time

Keep up the good work but please change your menu on daily basis, and maybe put microwaves in the rooms so that one can warm up the food, and also ensure that you explain to the guests what was dripping from the outside sitting area

Aircon is old fashioned. Shower sharing with room is not conducive having kids around. Wifi strength not good. The place is clean and people are friendly. Food is marvelous. Running water pressure is good.

The first time we stayed at Cresta Maun was December 2021 for my son's birthday. We were supposed to spend 3 nights there but ended up leaving after night #2. The service was just atrocious. My wife convinced me to give it another shot this time around, but.... seems nothing has changed service-wise. Arrived to find our room had been given away, even after confirming that we were on our way. They found us another room at Cresta Riley's for the night, but management wasn't even apologetic. We moved back to Cresta Maun the following day, and the nightmare continued. At supper time, we were presented with a bill for lunch that we didn't eat. We explained it wasn't ours, but the same bill came to haunt us at checkout time. When we made our booking, some promises were made. But unfortunately, they were not fulfilled as we only spent 1 night at Cresta Maun instead of 2. And we were made to fill it was our fault we didn't spend the 2 nights we had booked there. Management was called, but unfortunately, nothing was done. The front desk manager, Pamela, even ignored our call. We left without being assisted, mainly because I wasn't well and just wanted to get back home My wife ordered a milkshake after supper, it took ages to come, but it tasted like frozen milk with sugar. Fortunately, the restaurant management salvaged the situation, and a proper milkshake was brought. I could go on and on. Needless to say, this is our last time at Cresta Maun. sad because we are loyal Cresta patrons. We even have the card and everything.…

Top Hotel to stay in , friendly staff, good food. Friday night are a wipe of activity with music and friendly people all around. The pool bar is open till 22:00 the management might look at extended hours. Great swimming pool during the day, clean and well maintained.

Cresta Maun is one of the top level accommodation providers in Maun. The hospitality from the time one enters the reception to the rooms is outstanding. Food quality at the kitchen is top and overall service is great. Great experience!
