Excellent staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is quite honest, with juice, breads, milk candy, fruits and milk. The location is great, being at the entrance of the city near the bus terminal, facilitating the locomotion of those who arrive in El Chaltén. I recommend!

overall the hostel is great. very friendly, helpful and inviting. room #4 had 4 bunks in it and 1 bathroom. The shower was a tight fit and water went all over the floor in the bathroom so wet feet for everyone. The laundry service was fast and reasonably priced, overall the hostel was quiet at night and its location is close enough to the bus station but walking distance to everything in town. breakfast was included but honestly it was bread and jam with a choice of coffee, tea, juice. there was cereal but it was stale.

I had booked well in advance, the day before I communicated my arrival time and on that occasion the owner informed me that, due to a fault in the plumbing system of the double rooms, he had booked me in a higher level structure.
Furthermore, to apologize for the inconvenience (but it wasn't his fault) he also left me a gift at my new hotel.
I would therefore like to thank Roger for his correctness and his attention to the customer.
The structure is very close to the bus station and, when I went in to thank the owner in person, it seemed very clean and welcoming.

I was there for three nights. The hostel is very close to the bus terminal and many shops and restaurants. I really liked the cleanliness of the place and the spacious room (I had a private double), even if the toilet was quite smelly and the never emptied the bin in the three days I was there. The lounge room is a good place to relax and it’s where the WiFi works best (which is almost nothing in the whole town). Breakfast is a bit boring after a few days. All the members of the staff were very helpful and friendly and ready to answer the million questions we all asked about the weather, the trails and things to do. All in all, a few things could be improved, but it’s a nice place.

The hostel is located just 1 block from the bus terminal and is very nice! Is hosts quite a lot of people which makes it cool and nice in the common seating and/or sofa area. The staff is welcoming and know a lot about the hikes and things to do around here. We felt there was quite a lot to do in town itself with regard to bars, restaurants etc which is cool! Didn’t got that vibe in other villages we visited.
Hostel dorms are ok, the bathroom and space in the room is very limited which is the reason I don’t give 5 stars.
Definitely stay again!

We booked a hostel for EC at last minute and ended up here, though I think there are much better options further out of town (towards the start of the hiking trails.) Only a 5 minute walk to the bus station, great for early buses, and also 10 mins from the main square and all the restaurants. The hostel is reasonably well laid out, with a big social area and decent kitchen, but the rooms are very cramped and stuffy. The main sofa area is also very noisy, with all chatter echoing up and into the rooms til all hours. During our stay there was a huge group of Argentinian students staying, drinking and partying until very early – when we complained to the staff about this they didn’t care at all, as some of their friends were part of this group. A bit inconsiderate seeing as this is a location for hiking where people tend to wake up early! The staff were totally useless when it came to questions on buses etc, and failed to tell us about a national holiday one day when we were enquiring into places to eat… all but 1 of the shops and restaurants were closed… that’s helpful! Wifi was pretty shocking, but all the cafes nearby have better, which is weird. I couldn’t wait to leave to be honest, which is a shame as most people rave about this part of Argentina, but the welcome and experience there wasn’t the best.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were most helpful and accommodating. Staff had great tips and advice for hikes (even tho they probably get asked the same questions a hundred times!) and were very accommodating when we had to change around our dates. Common area was good and rooms were great. Would recommend!

Pros: The breakfast was great, the laundry was reasonably priced; beds were comfortable; room was spacious enough; the poor WiFi encourages people to interact with each other (much needed in this day and age); located very near La Roti (excellent empanadas!) and the bus terminal, staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Poor WiFi (when you really need it); located quite a walk from the trailhead of Fitz Roy. The kitchen was really small, though I didn’t use it.
Had a really pleasant experience here and got to know fellow travellers staying here. Would come back again!

Unfortunately, we had one of these bad experiences in Condor de los Andes.
We booked by email our reservation asking for the less economic. They offered us 70pesos the more economic or 90pesos the superior dorm...
They didn't reconfirm the price, we didn't reconfirm the price. But when you asked for the less economic, I assume this is the cheapest price.
So when it was time to pay, there was a problem. The way she answered us wasn't nice.
She told me that I was the one making a mistake, I should have reconfirmed everything with them (not my job...). She also told me "you can pay 90pesos, for you, it's just 5euros more". Can you see on my face if i'm able to pay 5euros more per night?? no, we have been travelling for 6months now with a leave of absence from work, so yes 5euros are a lot...And I would have chosen another hostel, for sure.
Second thing is that when we arrived, as we didn't choose the type of dorm, they should have asked us which dorm do you want, as it wasn't clear in the email. But no, they choose to place you wherever they want in order to steal you a bit more.
that's a pity...
I'm also front desk manager and I know how it works. But when I can see a misunderstanding btw me and my guests, I will let you being right, and find a solution.
Bad management so...
Other things : kitchen is not well-equipped (lot of things are missing), breakfast is poor, bad internet connexion

We chose this place because of it’s kitchen, which was spacious enough for 2-3 people to cook and contained the basic necessities (very dull knives though).
WiFi is only available in the communal areas and only works one person at a time.
Breakfast was barely average with two white bread rolls per person, luke warm water/milk, thin coffee and cornflakes.
Answers to questions whatsoever were, if answered at all, only responded to a minimum level.
However, the bed was comfortable, the heating exceeded our expectations and the showers were hot at all times.
