I booked for 4 nights. Spoke to Chris beforehand & he informed me no breakfasts currently as short staffed. Gave discount off £12. Stayed in a single room 10 right at the top. 56 stairs but no offer of help with luggage. Chris seemed polite enough but had to ask for things like a change of towels etc. Room was basic single ensuite with sea view. This B&B don't seem to offer a service at all & the onus is on you to do things which as owners all of the details should be done for you without having to ask. Disappointed overall. £200 for four nights but as they are not doing breakfast which is an essential part I would have expected much better to make up for it

Well the silly season continues so I'll join in: Readers please be aware that Wavecrest is a sea front guesthouse in a small West Wales seaside town run by a husband & wife team, not to be confused with the Hotel de Paris, Monte Carlo. The service we currently provide is the provision of a well equipped en suite room with central heating, TV, kettle, tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, sugar, biscuit snacks, soap, shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer and towels. Essentially, we provide self contained accommodation within a guesthouse with staff on hand for any needs. In Wales we still have COVID 19 (maybe the writer missed the memo) restrictions which means that, as we inform all guests, we are unable to service rooms every day. Guests have a front door key and can come and go as they please. If there is any danger that you feel that asking us for fresh towels during your stay is in any way a lack of service then you're probably best to give us a swerve. The writers unfulfilled expectations for us to make up for the fact that we don't serve breakfast, other than the £40.00 discount we gave, has left us wondering what they were expecting? Free camel rides into town maybe? Or helicopter transfer to and from Worcester? Who knows.

My elderly parents have just stayed at this guest house. I'm discusted with how they have been dealt with. They originally asked for a room with no stairs however when they arrived they were put on a floor with 4 flights of stairs. They were asked to leave on the 2nd night for "breaking the rules ". This infringement was my mum leaving the external door open for my dad who has recently had an operation and was much slower than her. They had a phone thrust at them showing my mum leaving the door open. They tried to explain but as dad was so slow he wasn't on the video. I can't believe that someone could be so callous. Avoid at all costs!

Guesthouse proprietor readers be aware: Not all old people are nice, and some are a nightmare. Avoid R&L Worthington at all costs. Contact me for details.

Had a long talk with the owner who's an absolute gent very easy going and so to his wife. They were very helpful on advising places to go, very accommodating, the room was clean and tidy and fresh towels were provided as and when needed. They also got this beautiful bouquet of flowers to surprise my partner as a special request which is just amazing! It's a 2 minute walk to the beach, everywhere is close by, it was the perfect stay thank you very much!
