Beautiful hotel, clean & all round perfect. Staff was lovely and the view at breakfast of the beach was stunning. Complimentary gin in the room made it 10x better! Perfect location from padstow centre, and would definitely stay here again.
Very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful, high quality renovation and everything has been well thought through, you can tell someone actually thought about the guest experience (and they still do), which is not always the case, weirdly! Lovely breakfasts and you can tell how well run it is as everyone without exception is equally keen to help and deliver great service. The location is perfect in Padstow and we somehow managed to squeeze into the cap park every day too! On the one night I had to park a bit cheekily (and let reception know), I had the politest ever request to move the car the next morning …”if you happen to be headed down for breakfast, I noticed someone having to squeeze past your car, so perhaps you’d like to take a regular space that’s become available?” I actually laughed, it was so polite and tactful. Great guest service, completely recommend the hotel. We will return.…
We stay at 'good' hotels regularly (The Victoria in Sidmouth is a big favourite and my benchmark), so making comparisons is easy, and this one is a gem of the highest order. The Staff are extraordinary. Nothing is too much trouble. You are made to feel like an honoured and welcome guest from the moment you arrive - and treated as such by every single member of Staff. As soon as our room was ready (we were early and the room was readied free of charge and with a smile, two hours early) our bags were delivered to it (thank you Heather) whilst we languished in the beautiful bar. Our room was stunning (room 11 - overlooks the estuary). It is worth noting that my parents stayed in one of the smaller rooms and it was just as special. Stylish, freshly decorated, and everything you could possibly want had been anticipated (magnifying & full length mirrors/slippers and robes/ bottled water/coffee maker/huge choice of teas/lovely shower - even decanters of gin and sherry with stylish glasses. It is really rare that I stay in a hotel and know that someone has stood in that room and carefully anticipated, and fulfilled exactly, what a guest would want. House-keeping also deserve a mention because the hotel is immaculate. The restaurant overlooks the estuary so the view is gorgeous. Dinner was excellent and the service we received from Mandy - exceptional - combining real warmth and friendliness with great professionalism. Breakfast was good too - don't miss the avocado and poached eggs. Worthy of note is that whilst it looks on a map as if the centre of Padstow is a bit of a walk, there is a shortcut through, along the side of the hotel, so my elderly mother was able to reach the shops easily, without use of the car. We only live half an hour up the coast and decided to stay in Padstow for a bit of R&R after a day's shopping. I didn't expect it to prove such a treat for a reasonable price and can't wait to stay again.…
Lovely hotel, amazing bed! Very nice decor. Looked liked it had been recently refurbished. Only had breakfast, which was delicious. My only slight complaint is that we couldn’t open a window, so found the room quite hot. Would definitely recommend abs stay again!
stayed 1 night the whole experience superb hotel/staff/room 10 out 10 restaurant great views of river and food great as well .lovely views across the river from our room ,whould highly recommend a stay there we will be returning in the near future .
Stayed for 3 nights, could not find fault with rooms, restaurant & bar or reception staff. Great location, parking not an issue, lovely views across the River. Food and friendly staff first class - would highly recommend this hotel.
We recently stayed at the Harbour Hotel in Padstow. We had never visited before so after a very friendly greeting from reception and our room details we went up to our room with lovely views over the estuary. The only criticism of the room was the hanging space was only 6inches as we were staying only 3nights it wasn’t too bad and there was a large coat stand but if you were staying for a week it wouldn’t have been enough. The bed was large and very comfortable it was quiet and we had tea and coffee facilities. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was very good in all.The only criticism again was there was not sufficient lounge space to enjoy,we did go with friends and also had met people we would have liked to meet after dinner but with little space to sit it was not possible.I would recommend staying here easy walking to town although most of the time we were here it poured luckily we did take a game to play.…
One downside to this hidden gem was the rooms were quite small. That apart this hotel was very classy and the food was incredible. Its set in quaint beautiful place. There were no suites just rooms. But all in all a wonderful place for one or two nights
This hotel has undergone a massive transformation since we last stayed here over 4 years ago. The room was spotless and very well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. Lots of nice thoughtful touches. We had a lovely view too! All staff were lovely and very helpful :) We would not hesitate to recommend and we will definitely be returning!
I travel extensively and always offer an open and honest review, good or bad. I share my own experiences which I hope helps others. My wife and I enjoyed a 4-night break at this hotel including New Year. All staff offered a first-class service, polite, well-mannered, and helpful. Our room was immaculate with all the amenities, including Sherry and Gin. The hotel was presented in first class order throughout, clean and welcoming throughout our stay. The food/restaurant could not be faulted, great choice and again presented to the highest standard. I speak as I find, and I recommend this hotel to the highest level. Thank you PHH.
