Arrive 20 minutes early my wife needed the toilet asked if we could check in was told no need to come back at 3pm! Was told go and use pub toilet across road as room wasn't cleaned yet, When we did check in the room was a disgrace, paint missing from wall ,cobwebs wall with dead spider, outside the room next door was a carrier bag with empty takeaway containers, shower room had woodlice crawling on floor ,hairs on towels etc etc! All photographed and waiting for travel lodge to get back to me! First ever stay at one And honestly never complain about anything I'm really easy going but won't use them again,on the upside though Cornwall is stunning
Good location for exploring, a very clean hotel. Rooms a good size mattress and bedding not at all comfortable. Shower was poor no pressure for my wife to properly wash her hair. Not enough power points in room, none next to bed to charge phones etc.
I was able to have my dog with me. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Very close to shops, restaurants, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were ample parking spaces available.
A spur of the moment trip, over night away and the great thing was , we could take our dog. I think it's a great facility that Travelodge offer , but they don't promote obviously enough. We also had a really lovely meal at "The Pearl and Trawl" the neighbouring pub. also dog friendly and great service.
Lovely hotel well located, the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Room was nice and clean as was the bathroom a credit to the housekeepers. Extra tea and coffee available at reception. Can't wait to return after the refurb.
Stayed as a stopover for 1 night. The room smelt of an awful stale smell. There was a fan left on in the room when we arrived and all it was doing was moving the smelly hot air. The window opens a small amount so no fresh air. The room faced the road so noisy. The duvet cover was ripped down one side to show a thin grey duvet. Shower curtain smelt awful. Certainly wont be staying again and will look to a BnB in future which cost wise would have been just as good in value.
They hotel is conveniently located, a short walk to town and shops with a pub just outside (it doesn’t do breakfast though) HOWEVER, the mattress was horrible so couldn’t sleep. We had to flip it ourselves and out an extra duvet down but to no avail.
Easy, clean, couple of little things not 100% but forgivable, could be cheaper compared to Formula 1 in France all UK motels are expensive...... bathroom light took ages to come on.. Staff were great.
Adjacent to local retail park (Tesco, Aldi, B&M, Screwfix) also local restaurant/pub on grounds. Also ideally located on the main road. BP petrol station not far away including Tesco petrol services. Near to A39 which is great for heading out to the beaches.
I stayed here for only one night however the staff are amazing, they were so polite as I entered the building to check in ,there was always someone at reception when I needed something like tea , coffee etc I’m exited to see the building after a refit in November it will then match the amazing staff that’s working there , would highly recommend .
