Detailed Reviews
Teresa at Newtown Farm Country House is such a welcoming host. The room was a good size and very well-equipped while the Irish breakfast the next morning was superb with all sorts of extra touches like homemade jams and soda bread. There was also a sittingroom where guests could relax...

Very nice house with beautiful garden and ocean view from the windows. The host is extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and you have quite a lot of options to choose. There is nice cliff view path nearby. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Just the water from the shower could be more hot, but maybe we just could not turn it on properly. For sure I would recommend this place, especially for families with children. You can say hello to all animals living in the farm.

My wife and I stayed here in August for one night. We had an upstairs room which was was large and comfortable. We could walk out onto our balcony and enjoy the view of the paddocks and the water.
The B and B is set in beautiful gardens and is in a quiet location.
The breakfast was yummy and Teresa gave us some great tips on restaurants and local walks.
I would absolutely recommend Newtown Farm Country House.

Teresa is friendly, charming, and helpful, and makes the best brown bread we had on our 18-day trip to Ireland. the room was large and well-done. I highly recommend Newtown Country House. Thank you, Teresa, for making our stay so comfortable. Your place is in my top 3 in Ireland. All the best, Tom Finn

Fabulous and very welcoming host (Teresa). We spent a lovely night in Newtown Farm Country House. Teresa was extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were among the most comfortable we have slept in and the breakfast was gorgeous with lots of options.

WOW!! What a wonderful suprise!! The Newtown Farm Guesthouse is a real working farm. -----------. The countryside was breathtaking. We arrived rather late and they welcomed us in warmly. They made you feel like one of the family. Suggested we eat at the White Horses in Ardmore. WOW!! Words can not discribe how great this was. Large room with a private bath and two big beds. I will go back and stay here again!! Breakfast was delightful. Flowers and cows made the stay even better.

After manouvreing our way up the corner staircase we found ourselves in our room.. it was cosy, with an ensuite, and a small TV.. everything was in it's place, and nothing unusually strange or out of the ordinary.. looking out the window, into the garden, there was an old dog, chasing young birds. Never going to catch them, but [--] he kept trying.. i liked that.. reminded me of me.
Oh and google maps are about 3 miles wrong with their location. You need to go a couple miles towards waterford and it's on the right.

We stayed for 2 nights at Newtown Farm Guesthouse. The gardens and surrounding area were beautiful but I was disappointed in the standard of accomodation. There was an unpleasant smell plus quite a few air fresheners in the entrance hallway/stairs. When we got to our room I found a used plaster in the shower and the surfaces in the bedroom were grimey - also the teaspoon I used was sticky. Overall it appeared to need a good scrub and freshen up. I was expecting something much more special for a 4* guest house at €90 a night. The owner was a lovely lady who was very friendly and helpful but I did wonder why, when there were only 2 couples staying in the Guest House, we were put in adjoining rooms! The walls were very thin. Breakfast was fine with some lovely breads on offer but again, I felt overall that it wasn't worthy of the price and 4* rating. On a more positive note, the bed was very comfortable with good linen and other than the noise from the room next door the surroundings were extremely peaceful. Try the little pub 3 minutes walk down the road and Ardmore and Dungarvan for places to eat. The cliff walk in Ardmore was stunning.

Teresa and Maurice were so pleasant and welcoming. The country house and the beautiful grounds made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The rooms and beds were comfortable with great views of the countryside. We enjoyed eating breakfast in their sunny breakfast room and the generous portion of smoked salmon served along with poached eggs was our favorite. My daughter and I enjoyed going out into the fields to hang out with the farm animals - donkeys, cows, goats and horses. The B&B was a short drive to Ardmore, a coastal town with a rich past. The Ardmore Cliff Walk has beautiful views of the coastline and takes you by the round tower and cathedral dating back to the 12th Century.
