We were thoroughly pleased with our stay. The people at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. We slept well. Everyone we ran into who works there had a genuine smile on their face. Check in was very easy. There are not a lot of restaurants in town but they are all in walking distance of the hotel. It is conveniently located to the Grand Canyon - 10 minutes. The staff was very helpful. When we come back we will stay here again.
I liked that this hotel is locally owned by the same family as the original owner (info was in lobby)- he was the mayor of Tusayan I believe. Staff friendly & helpful. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby by the fire and drinking tea in the morning. My kids really enjoyed the hot tub & heated pool and it helped with sore muscles after a day of hiking. Rooms were comparable to Holiday Inn Express. We stayed in the motel section (not hotel) but it was updated and clean & had a small fridge. There was a microwave we used by the ice machine. We don’t usually stay in motel-style units and I was worried about noise from road/restaurant but it was fine. I really enjoyed this place & my kids said it was their favorite from our trip (heated pool!).
Stayed here for two nights whilst hiking in the Grand Canyon. The location is excellent, very easy to get to the park. Rooms are basic but adequate, staff are really friendly and helpful and the availability of tea and coffee in reception is a nice bonus. Our coffee machine in the room did not work and I had expected the room to be serviced each day, but other than that no issues.
Stayed 2 nights here while we toured around Grand Canyon National Park. Before arriving I was skeptical because Tusayan area appears to be mostly catering to tourists but as soon as we arrived into the Red Feather lodge, it was welcoming and relaxing. All of the staff are friendly and eager to help in anyway. The rooms are clean and well stocked with everything you need for a stay. There is a well stocked coffee/tea bar in the main lobby. Also, they have a small gym and coin operated laundry facilities on site. The entire complex is spotless. There was s also a Mexican restaurant attached to the complex (Plaza Bonita) and the food is amazing. Well worth the prices they charge - you won’t be disappointed.
Great place to stay near South Rim, convenient for going to see sunrise/sunset. Room was basic but clean, beds comfortable. Coffee maker did not work but easy to get fresh coffee in lobby. Staff was friendly & helpful. Happy for the nearby Starbucks. Will stay again.
Exceptional hotel. Beautiful lobby with fireplace, I like the home feel. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. I love the k-cup coffee pot in the room with amenities. You can walk to the nearby stores and restaurants. If you are going to the Grand Canyon I would recommend this hotel. The drive is only 5 minutes to the entry point. Highly recommend this hotel to all travelers staying in the area.
This place has checked all the boxes. Everything worked. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure and hot water were fine and the heating air unit was nice and quiet. An excellent stay. There is no breakfast, only hot coffee in the lobby, but missing another basic motel breakfast is not a sacrifice.
The Suite was larger than expected. Very clean. Staff was always cleaning up around the motel including the 24hr coffee area. Check in and out was simple and the staff was friendly. What we thought was nice was they had a web camera on the entrance at the park. We have stayed at other motels near National Parks, and no one ever had this. Even though the park was not crowded this would be very helpful in the summer. Two small issues: we stayed there 2 nights. The second day we did not get a bathmat. Also, the suite comes with a small sink. We had a few dish items, and they were not cleaned by housekeeping. Other than that, if we come back we will stay at the Red Feather.
Very comfortable and welcoming. Had great Mexican restaurant right there. Will come back again. I was with Gate 1 tour group, who arranged the entire trip. We got prompt attention from both the hotel and restaurant. They had free coffee 24/7 in the lobby as well. !!!!!
Good location, bath and body toiletries, walking distance to restaurants, well lit parking. I'd come back to this location. Friendly staff. Short walk from car to hotel room. Great place to crash after a busy day of hikes at the Grand Canyon.
