Worst hotel on our trip. Terrible to find parking. Worst of all was the sink back up with sewage and basically exploded on my bathroom bad the walls and my shoes. We were in the queen suite. They had none available to move us too. At midnight called and moved us to a smaller double bed room 3 buildings away. They said they would adjust our room price due to it being a cheaper room and breakfast in the morning on them and talk to the supervisor for further compensation. We also had to wake up kids who were crying and walk them the 3 buildings in the cold due to no parking. Next morning my husband talked to supervisor. They said they had not figured out a full resolution but go to Grand Canyon national park and would have one when we got back. Spoke to them after we got back said they gave us $50 off the room and free buffet breakfast. Explained we booked in advance and the $50 off was not a comp considering when I booked rates were cheaper and each night should be $50 off as the room was a basic room when before we had the suite. Then they said they gave us one free breakfast which was buffet no better than the buffet breakfast most hotels offer for free and in reality cost them no more if we had not ate. Could of at least offered the rest of the stay considering I had to clean my shoes bathroom bag ect…. I was very upset and went down. They suddenly had another room available like our original room. My husband though was upset because it was not offered when he spoke to them 15 min before. He also asked if he could check out for the evening since the compensation was not satisfying to us however they told us we could but would take a charge of half for the night, even though if they had told us that morning there would be no further compensation we would have. Felt as though they forced us into a situation only beneficial to them. Next morning my husband spoke to supervisor and they said they already compensated us for issues by breakfast and 50 off again he explained when we booked the room was much cheaper and the rate we were paying for a 2 double bed room now was the original rate we had payed for the queen suite. Also I noticed mold around the bath which I have seen in cheap motels not rooms that are 200-300 a night. We felt they should of at least honored pricing based when we booked rather than walk in rate as even with the 50 off for the entire stay it still was more than pricing when we booked and only save us $25 a night off of our original booking which was a queen suite not the much smaller room. They could of also comped us their buffet breakfast for 2 days at least. Ok hotel if u don’t mind searching for parking and don’t have anything go wrong but pricing is too high personally. Breakfast is no better than days inn or any of the cheaper hotel chains. Dinner in the restaurant was overpriced and not so great. Prime rib lacked flavor and I swear the mashed potatoes tasted like instant. Definitely not worth 38.…
Our family stay on the way back from the Grand Canyon was very cozy and comfortable. Excellent customer service since we checked in. Breakfast was really good with reasonable prices. Restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive.
Only thing positive about this place is the location. It is just minutes from the entrance to Grand Canyon South Rim. Extremely dated, old and musty. The heat and air conditioner is about 50 yrs old. Blows at the bed and makes horrible ticking noise. Flooring is questionable - I kept my socks on all night. No value - very pricey for what you get. Would not recommend and will never stay there again. They are preying on customers looking to stay close to Grand Canyon.
I'm typing this sleepless and stressed after finding live bedbugs in our room (#128) at midnight tonight. We've already stayed a day and a night in the room so all of our things are potentially contaminated. All of them. I immediately alerted the front desk, who offered a new room, but didn't call a manager to the premises. Then they told us we can't even use the laundry room to at least try to start cleaning our things until morning. We will have to launder every single thing we brought with us, throw away our luggage and buy new pieces, and have our car steam cleaned (as we've ridden in it and put bags from our room in it during our stay here). This will take us at least an entire extra day, one we've lost from our trip, not to mention the loss of sleep. Never again.
Worst hotel and customer service ever!! Go anywhere else but here! The shower did not drain and they wouldn’t do anything about it… it was gross! The manager was terrible and would t call back and acted like it was the first time they heard about it every time we called telling the about our situation. HORRIBLE go anywhere but here!
We were very happy with our room.it was clean and convenient to our vehicle. The whole property was well maintained. And the hot tub outside our door was a bonus. Great location close to food and a short drive to the Grand Canyon. We would highly recommend staying here.
The hotel location and facilities excellent . HOWEVER: ice machines not working on 2 floors. Breakfast buffet completely a rip off and not at all tasty or interesting! Will not stay there again . Nearby McDonald’s, pizza/pasta, steakhouses ….the MOST expensive in USA . Spa jacuzzi nice .
Nice clean hotel with a great bar and very friendly staff. Excellent concierge Rich who gave us great tips to get the best out of our visit to the Grand Canyon and then a wonderful itinerary suggestion for our onward journey.
Hands down the nicest hotel i have stayed at. From reception staff on arrival, to bar, shop and the lovely girl who served us breakfast. We were made feel welcome and felt at home for the 4 days visiting the grand canyon. The room was large with fridge, coffee machine and microwave all available. Will recommand to anyone visisting the area.
We were lucky to stop by this hotel as part of our honeymoon trip. Although we only stayed for one night to visit the Grand Canyon. Room was huge and extremely clean, superconfy beds excellent to rest after a long drive and prepare for a whole day visiting Grand canyon. Steve (reception supervisor) assisted us really well on arrival, he is a pro!! Really really nice. Also Rich gave us extremely useful information to visit grand canyon in only one day (of course there is much much more to see but he really help us to see the highlights of the park) thanks to him we discover the south kaibab trailhead .. really doable in one day and simply amazing. On top of everything he send us an email with lots of nice spots to stop after our Grand Canyon stop. Thanks a lot!!! "There are no strangers here; only friends you haven’t yet met” W.B. Yeats 🫶…
