Not too happy with on site parking. I felt that $15 p/day should have afforded us at minimum a SECURED location.

Right across the street from the ASU campus is a perfect location if you will be on campus for events. The service at the hotel is a mixed blend of very good and competent to "apparently disinterested." The hotel management didn't arrange for guest to know that there may be no water for showers, due to street construction. This caused many frustrated guests who needed to shower on lower floors of the hotel. If guests had been advised in advance, that would have mitigated some of the angst when trying to shower in the morning. One guest didn't have towels one evening; apparently the towels had been removed from the bathroom floor, but never replaced; when the guest needed to call to get towels that evening, the response was "they've gone home for the day." That is not an acceptable response!

Amazing! Perfect location near shopping, food, groceries; beautiful building outside and seating area out front; walking in you're greeted with impeccable cleanliness and great scent (that's right it smells good in there!), super friendly and helpful staff, elegant and eclectic mid century decor, and all the safety and tech needed during COVID. Good job guys!
I got a garden king room on the top floor which is exquisite! In the room, super clean, beautiful decor and furniture, comfy bedding with lots of squishy fluffy pillows and layers upon layers of white, sumptuous linens which were so nice I slept like a baby. All the little details in the room and the hotel at large we're keeping me interested and invited. The bathroom was clean and had nice towels. The shower was glorious with plenty of hot water and good pressure! They provide toiletries that smelled so good and were gentle - nice touch.
The front desk staff was so wonderful and they helped me with a million little things. I loved that I could text them for stuff. They brought me coffee pods a million times. Haha!
I will definitely stay here again. Great value and just a great hotel.

Great hotel. Friendly staff, pet friendly and ideal location to ASU. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is walking distance to ASU and Mill St. Lots of great restaurants near by. I have stayed here twice now and have enjoyed my experience. Only negative that I have is the AC unit. It is a bit noisey when trying to sleep at night. This is a renovated older hotel so each room is fitted with its own separate AC

Upon entering the hotel lobby, My girlfriend and I were immediately overwhelmed by the powerful stench of cheap 1950's Old Spice Colonge! Apparently blown in by the hotel's lobby scent creations. It was a total turn off! Despite the inital entry, the hotel was clean and Neat. Upon entering the room, It was decorated in all 1950's style with strange lamps and facial tapestries hanging above the bed. It was a little unsettling. A couple of the lamps were not working and were in shoddy garage sale like condition! Also, Forget about the water! They charge $5 for a little bottle of water!!
Bathrooms were updated and also strange looking.
Also, the bed was kind of dirty feeling as it felt as many people were sweating profusely into the mattress and this yuckky feeling is prevalent throughout the mattress itself.
It all may be fun for some younger kids, but overall, you're getting less than what you paid for here.
Hotel staff was super friendly was about the only upside we experienced here. Persoally, I will not return again.

I cannot apologize enough we were not able to meet your expectations, let alone exceed them. We will follow up on the issues you experienced with the lamps in your room, as well as the concern about the mattress. We do utilize mattress pads, as well as a cover for the mattress itself to prevent any issues such as the one you mentioned, so we will take care to ensure this is not an issue going forward.

When we stay at a Graduate we have come to learn they have a certain quality of fun, clean, vibrant decor that you look forward to seeing. Not this one. Everything is run down. The room is tired. Mildew on old bathroom tile, incredibly dirty bathroom floors. Sink faucet wiggly and tips to the side as it seems it is about to bust off. Rusted light fixture on the bathroom, hole in office chair, dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper. Furniture is beat up and the mattresses are awful. Everything needs care. Everything.
At the pool, the furniture is very worn, and dirty. The cushions were so filthy our towel turned brown after laying on them from the dirt underneath. Also, the pool was cloudy and had a sulfur like smell.
Bartender rude, didn’t greet us, didn’t thank us and when we asked for straws he threw them at us in annoyance. We were the only customers there.
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This will turn you off of the entire Graduate hotel group.

I cannot apologize enough for your experience. This is not at all typical of a Graduate hotel, and I am mortified that this was the way we presented ourselves during your stay. I have already addressed this with the entire team here to ensure that nothing like this happens again. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention as we take this very seriously.

The staff was so sweet, made check-in so simple and stress free. Room and bathroom were super clean and cute (plus the products they had were actually great, not crappy hotel product that leaves your hair and skin completely dried out). The decor was super cute and it felt like a unique and nice place to stay (not just another boring hotel). In walking distance from lots of things to do, and also close to the airport. Took an Uber to the airport for a totally reasonable price, and other Ubers were cheap to just see around Tempe. I never really leave reviews for places I stay, but I liked this one so much I had to.

The Graduate Tempe just right for our needs and budget. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff.
We were on the go most of the time so the small room with few amenities (eg. no coffee maker) was fine. The location was ideal, as it’s not far from the major freeway on/off ramps. It’s a bit too far to walk to Mill Ave activities for us but there’s a new bus shuttle that stops just across from the hotel every 15 minutes that worked very well.
The Graduate “dining hall” was a very comfortable place to eat and hang out to play cards in the evening after a busy day sightseeing. The food was quite good and reasonably priced. Bar options and prices also good. We didn’t get very warm weather to use it much but can confirm that the outdoor/pool patio was comfortable, clean, nicely warmed water and pool towels supplied.

The employees were extremely nice and welcoming. The Wifi was weak and the staff was not informed about the data center and its capabilities. I was offered a number to call to have the WiFi reset in hopes of a better signal. Your 5 miles from the airport and your shuttle service doesn't carry guests to the airport? The National (bar/restaurant) had one employee to tend bar, bus and serve food. The menu was extremely limited, but the food was good. I attempted to get a coffee where again one employee was serving the entire area. There was a line of seven patrons. I decided to walk 0.3 mi to a local coffee shop. When I returned the last person I saw in line was being served, so about 30 minutes total. The room was nice but smaller then I could gather from the photos. There were wall plugs that need updates since most of the things I attempted to plug into fell out. There were orange trees outside our room (nice touch) with oranges on the ground. When I asked the staff, they did not know much about that but we could try them if we wanted to. Overall at a price of $531.82 (2 nights) I was disappointed. Your hotel is across the street from a major university (full of working class students). The place is run by nice young people who are not knowledgeable about most of the core parts of the facility. Your hotel seems to be severely understaffed, thus lowering the quality and availability of amenities that warrant the prices your asking.
You need to staff and train your facility. Your not providing an experience that warrants $ 250.00/night. Not even close. To give you a comparison. I stayed my first 3 nights in town at the Drury near the airport. About the same price per night. All the amenities were available, the Wifi was strong, the staff knowledgeable (and short staffed) and we were provided with free breakfast, evening buffet and 3 mixed drinks each days stay. I choose the Graduate because it looked like a boutique like experience which it was not. You have a niche and interesting concept to sell. Your brand really promotes inclusivity as boldly stated on the door, now match that enthusiasm with substance and you will have a better brand. Thank you

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience at Graduate Tempe. While I am disappointed we fell so short of expectations, I very much appreciate the thought and detail you included while documenting your stay. We have taken what you've written about your experience into account to improve our training programs as we bolster our staffing levels. I apologize that we did provide the level of service one comes to expect from a Graduate property, and we will continue to improve based on guest feedback such as this. I certainly hope this experience does not sour your taste for Graduate Hotels, and I certainly hope we get the opportunity to earn your business in the future.

I stayed for a month to work in Mesa, and picked the Graduate in Tempe because they had Tesla chargers, which were always in working order. The concierge on both day and night shifts knew me by name, and always ensured I got my mail the day it was delivered. The outdoor pool and hot tub were excellent and very clean. The view of the city from the balcony was great, and you could smell the orange trees in blossom in the courtyard below. The shower was spacious and all the furniture was of good quality, the bed was especially comfortable. The many pieces of art on the walls of my room were a nice touch, and made for some good backdrops in my video calls. Even the carpet was decorative. I’ll be staying at a Graduate hotel in any city that offers one the next time I travel, I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
