We were in town for a few days of hiking and stayed at Amara Resort. It was a great stay. From the check-in staff to the valets to the restaurant servers, everyone was polite, prompt and professional. Our room was very clean upon arrival and was serviced back to like-new each day. Everything in the room worked as it should. Uptown Sedona was quite hectic during the busy part of the day, but the hotel was a quiet oasis within a short walk to the main drag. We ate at the restaurant several times. Both times the food was flavorful, hot and served in a reasonable amount of time. The prices were about average for a nice restaurant in touristy Sedona. We did not spend any time in the central courtyard, hot tub or pool, but all appeared clean and well maintained. If you are in Sedona on vacation and would like to stay in the Uptown area, the Amara Resort is a great option. Highly recommend.…
Erica at the Amara spa is amazing! Best massage I’ve ever had. Highly recommend her. Very knowledgeable, explains everything. Came away feeling like a new woman. Even made recommendations for treatment afterwards.
Everything was on point. Staff was friendly, valet is inclusive and you never have to park your car or walk to it. Rooms were clean and well maintained, the food at SaltRock Kitchen was really good, so were the cocktails. There was zero friction in whatsoever shape or form, and driving back to the hotel after a beautiful day of hiking felt truly relaxing.
I’m had a great time and such an enjoyable stay. The staff was super helpful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the views of the red rocks were stunning. Centrally located and close to shops, trails, and restaurants
Had a great time, the food was outstanding, if my wife would have allowed me I would have licked the plate. Has several meals everyone was fantastic. The location was perfect, easy walk to town. The view from the pool was amazing.
From start to finish our experience was great! Staff was super friendly and helpful, the saltrock restaurant was delicious, and our room was extremely clean! We took our 3 month old and had a junior sweet with a balcony and it was PERFECT !! We will definitely be back!
Amara resort Our family stayed for three wonderful nights Upon our early-late arrival we were greeted by the front desk and they had our key cards ready to go so we can head straight to the room and get some sleep. Next morning in our shower we noticed a small trail of ants. Our patio access was amazing. However we noticed the door was extremely heavy( rollers not working properly) that my wife couldn’t open the sliding door to take the pups out. Also during the day we would have loved to leave the door open but there was no screen so bugs kept coming in. We also did not get housekeeping service. I figured since we have dogs and we keep taking out to the back patio a little vacuuming would go along way. We hiked and mountain bikes and some clean fresh towels and clean shower would have helped . With the amount of money we paid we thought at least the creature comforts would be taken care of. …
I rarely write reviews but wanted to review our first visit at Amara Spa. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist, were walked into the appropriate locker room, and told to enjoy ourselves in the relaxation room while we waited for our practitioners. The environment was clean and tidy , however the locker rooms could use a refresh . The robes we utilized were ancient and threadbare. The relaxation room was not relaxing as the cleaning staff walked in and out of the designated area as well as additional staff members. I’m used to a quiet , relaxing non hustle and bustle type of relaxation room. My practitioner was the BEST part of the experience, her name was Taryn . She was fantastic and informative, I completely trusted her right off the bat. She deserves all the accolades! My husbands practitioner was Sandra and he was equally impressed. Kudos to Amara for having very qualified staff. I would’ve given Amara 5 stars but just couldn’t due to the experiences prior to the service.…
I spent 4 nights here in Feb 2023. The room was spacious, the restaurant delicious, and the bartenders friendly. The concierge was friendly and the valet quick! A few things to note: the hotel is in a small canyon and it's a serious walk to get up to the street. The hotel offers a golf cart ride up or down if you want. :-) I stayed on the bottom floor and could hear everyone in the room above me walking around.= Stay on the top floor if you can. I wasn't able to use the spa, it is a small facility. And it was too cold for the pool or jacuzzi, but they looked lovely.
Sammi was phenomenal!! She was prompt, attentive, personable, made us feel like family and completely welcome! Sammi made the ambience and experience one we will never forget! She had us laughing, smiling and thoroughly enjoying the entirety of our time!! Thank you Sammi!! You exceeded our expectations!’
