Cozy, roomy & well equipped. Private balcony with a spectacular view. Never heard any neighbours & the place looked fully booked. Loved everything about the place. Situated within a 5 minute drive of restaurants & groceries. Take this over a hotel room any day.

Property's Favorite Review
My daughter and I were on a cross country road trip to celebrate her graduating college and I booked the Sunset Chateau for our stay in Sedona after reading the reviews. Boy am I glad I did. This place is fantastic! The room was well appointed and beautifully decorated with artwork and furnishings. The place was spotless and cozy. The beds were comfortable and everything was updated. And the view from our room was unbelievable (see picture)! The inner courtyard was spectacular. Everywhere you walked there were flowers, metal sculptures, water features, fire tables, and comfortable sitting areas. It was stunning! The salt pool was refreshing after a hike too. The cafe where breakfast was served was so nice and the breakfast was amazing. We tried the daily specials and they were so flavorful. The owner/staff stopped at our table and gave excellent suggestions for our morning hike (we saw a roadrunner during it!). The Sunset Chateau was conveniently located for hiking the airport mesa loop and easy to get in and out of. Their thoughtful attention to detail was truly amazing. The Sunset Chateau truly was a magical place that I cannot recommend enough. I will be back!

We spent 3 nights here. The hotel is a mix of a B&B and an apartment - we had a small kitchen (fridge, stove, sink and microwave), and the hotel provided an amazing breakfast every day. The grounds were great to explore with constant views of the gorgeous mountains in the distance. Mix of other guests (couples, singles, young, old, families), all who seemed friendly when interacting in the gardens and breakfast room. Great access to local hike, and the park next door had a great playground for kids.

Nice, quiet location with excellent gardens and views (of course, some rooms face mountains with better views). Spacious, clean rooms. Well equipped. Only thought is that the gentleman at the front desk could have been warmer, more welcoming, and more helpful with trail and parking info.

When we first walked into our room (#20) we were amazed by the view from the balcony....beautiful view of the mountains! Unfortunately, we weren't able to be out on the balcony for more than a few moments as the weather was unseasonably cold and a huge snowstorm had just hit....obviously not the fault of the Chalet. The barstools on the patio weren't comfortable for extended sitting and there were lounge chairs which we wouldn't use anyway because they're so low that you'd only be looking at the patio wall. The room itself was wonderful - an electric fireplace for atmosphere, a comfy bed, a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and coffeemaker (no oven so don't buy anything from Whole Foods - like a potpie - that needs to be baked). The jacuzzi was great and the towels were luxurious, along with bathrobes! The supplied soap, etc. was nice. The room is very tastefully decorated with lots of artwork and beautiful knickknacks. We had daily cleaning service and the room was very clean. The employees were all friendly and helpful ( especially the woman at the front desk). Our only negative comment would be about the breakfasts. Previous reviews commented on the timing - apparently they've since made it earlier as it now starts at 8:00 am, but that's still not early enough for people who want to get going earlier. We would suggest that they at least unlock the door earlier, with coffee and pastries for early risers, even if the hot breakfast isn't served till 8:00. And our personal taste is to have the hot breakfast not be the Southwestern/Mexican cuisine every day....the only non-Mexican food that they offered was eggs and ham/sausage....we'd love to have the special dish be French Toast casserole or Quiche, or at the least, offer donuts/bagels. We do highly recommend The Sunset Chateau and would stay there again - just make sure that your room is one with the nice view (I think Rooms 20, 21, 24 and 25 are the best)

A hidden gem in Sedona. Magnificent views from the Montana suites. Off the main road but close enough to town. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Comfy beds, great shower, nicely equipped kitchen and beautiful sitting area. Delicious breakfast is included.

From the room, location, stay, staff - all worth the investment. Beautiful view of Thunderbird Mountain. Close to everything! Doesn’t feel hotel-y. I love the chateau feel, the decor, the fireplace- it all made you feel super cozy.

Our stay was wonderful! We stayed in unit 21 Bella Vista and we were very pleased with the accommodations. Everything in the room was of high quality and the view was amazing! We had the chance to enjoy our balcony and the outstanding view on multiple occasions. We particularly enjoyed the morning mountain view as seen directly from our bed. We also had the chance to wander the grounds and very much enjoyed the breakfast service. We appreciated the uniqueness of the daily breakfast special entree as well as the choice to order a more standard meal if needed. All of the staff we encountered were gracious and helpful. We particularly appreciated the support of the front desk staff on the day of our check in (February 19th) as she kept in communication with us on our early arrival time after a long day of travel from Indiana. We would definitely choose to stay again.
