#11 of 50 hotels in Sedona
Travelers' Choice
L’Auberge de Sedona is a destination like no other. With scenic backdrops that steal your breath away, we have the privilege of being one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Our manicured grounds meander through the wooded banks of Oak Creek and overlook Sedona’s fabled red rocks. In this tranquil setting, time seems to pass a bit slower. Our warm, intuitive staff goes above and beyond to ensure that each stay is enriching and unique. 88 meticulously appointed guest rooms and cottages are spread across 11 acres of landscaped grounds. Cottages have fireplaces and private decks; most have separate outdoor showers and a few are even open to canine guests. Dine on our creekside patio, and you’ll see why Cress on Oak Creek was named "One of the Top Ten Restaurants in the Southwest" by Condé Nast Traveler. We’ve also received the Wine Spectator’s "Award of Excellence" 19 consecutive times. From morning yoga sessions and duck feedings to evening stargazing and s’mores, guests are invited to submerse themselves in an elevated, Sedona experience. However, do not simply take our word for it – take a moment to read what our guests have to say.

My wife and I had an excellent stay celebrating our anniversary in Sedona. The property is tucked away from uptown Sedona so it provides plenty of peace and tranquility with the convenience of being so close to the popular restaurants and stores. The room was beautiful, the landscape was spectacular, and the service staff was great. The outdoor shower was an excellent feature of the cottages. I can't speak for the restaurant on site as I am not into the type of food they offered but the dining atmosphere on the river looked gorgeous. Only complaint is the timeliness of getting our room refreshed. They didn't seem to refresh our room until late in the afternoon. This could be due to being understaffed because of the enhanced pandemic unemployment benefits, so I will give that a pass.

Stayed on this hotel for 5 days and it was the best experience. Their cottages allow for space and privacy. The river that runs through the property offers a beautiful, relaxing and unique experience. The restaurant seats by the river and dining experience is outstanding. Service amazing. Location is very centric near the shops and main attractions. If I come back to Sedona, I will come back to L'Auberge. Did not have the same experience at Enchantment where I also stayed for 2 days. Enchantment is overrated.

First of all let me say the view from the in hotel restaurant is amazing, you add amazing staff at the front desk starting with Megan and Adam who both went above and beyond to help us with anything. Best valet service in town Eric, Randy, Steven Flee and last but not least Stephen G. Let me tell you guys the Spa has one of the most amazing pair of hands.. Mason was absolutely incredible, I had to booked an appointment right away for my wife. Maryann took great care of my face with a very relaxing facial. The house keep Ophila to be exact keep our room so tidy and clean we really appreciate the entire staff but these who I mentioned really went the extra mile and made our stay memorable. Thank you all for making my stay with you guys the ABSOLUTE BEST.

The customer service is incredible! The valet makes it! Stephen G., Eric,Randy, Steve Flee, and Chrys were our heroes. They were our personal taxi service. They were always keeping up with us. How they do this with 100s of other guest is beyond me. Megan at the front desk was the best. She helped us get into our room a tad faster since we had a horrible travel experience. She made sure we had plans everyday. Adam at the front desk made sure we had anything and everything we needed. Keith at the resturant made sure we were in and out in time for jeep tour. Seriously we felt as if we were the only ones there. Everyone took such good care of us. I can't thank you all enough!!! Love the girls from room 9!

We stayed at L'Auberge de Sedona for 2 nights as part of a road trip through the Southwest. While the setting of this hotel is pretty, we had consistent issues with the service and I cannot recommend this hotel. We arrived on a Friday night and inquired about dinner--we were told that while the restaurant serving the prix fixe menu had no availability, there was a more casual restaurant/bar next to it that was only for guests of the hotel and we should be able to get dinner there. We were seated by one gentleman who we literally never saw again. 30 minutes later, we finally decided to flag someone down to see if we could place a drink order. The guy who helped us seemed frazzled but did his best. It was another 30 minutes before we got those drinks--and my husband actually went into the bar inside to ask what in the world was going on. Ordering food was similarly painful and slow. All in all, it took us about 2 hours to get 2 drinks and 2 burgers--at a restaurant that was billed as only for guests of the hotel. There were other tables near us that appeared to have a similar experience of very slow, unattentive service. Our room in the Lodge was fine--nothing to write home about, really. We paid almost $1,000/night and the room felt more like a room that we should be paying $400 or $500 a night for. Our next disaster was at breakfast on Saturday morning. We showed up at the hotel's restaurant (again, a restaurant that was billed as only being for guests of the resort) at 8:15 am and it was about half full. Still, we were told that the restaurant only had 2 servers working and it was going to be a wait. This is when it became clear that the bad/inattentive service we had received the night before wasn't an anomaly, but a pattern. We spoke to the hotel manager who was able to seat us, but service was painfully slow. And this was for an overpriced "spa"-type hotel breakfast that we paid over $50 for. Why have a restaurant that's only for hotel guests if you can't provide those guests with decent service?! Finally, the hotel had sent us a pre-check-in email with details about COVID policies etc. that also asked if we were traveling for any special occasions. I responded back letting the hotel know that we were on a trip for our 5th wedding anniversary and that I am pregnant so would not like any alcohol to be delivered to our room. When we checked in, no one acknowledged our anniversary, which I don't really care about but then WHY on earth do you ask that information of your guests?! On the second night, a bottle of champagne was left in our room, despite the fact that I had specifically said I couldn't drink/didn't want any alcohol in the room. At this point, I wasn't really expecting much from the hotel, but to do exactly what I asked them NOT to do was just annoying. Clearly, this hotel is having major staffing issues but is unwilling to lower their guest capacity while they get their staff back up and running and it's the guests who are paying inflated prices who end up really suffering. I would not recommend this hotel and I most certainly will not be coming back any time soon.
