I actually arrived way too early, yet with a welcoming smile they allowed me an early check in. This is a nice Holiday Inn Express. Clean, well maintained, close to restaurants and shopping, easy 8 minute drive to the Mayo Clinic. Rooms are clean and well stocked and while the breakfast is typical Hotel fair, there is plenty and good tasting. I’ll stay here again.

While visiting the Phoenix area looking for a new place to live, I stayed at this location and had a good experience for the purpose of my visit. It was my first time travelling since the start of the pandemic so I was a little nervous. However, with hand sanitizer stations at every entrance/stairwell/elevator, I felt safe as well as being able to stay socially distance. I also appreciated the hotel still offering complimentary breakfast. I feel like the hotel took adequate steps to address COVID19. The location is also great to walk every day and I felt it was clean and kept up. Having a microwave and fridge was helpful too.

This hotel is tucked back from the main streets so it is very quiet traffic wise. My husband and I had a two queen bed room on the second floor not near the elevators for one night. This hotel is just as nice as it was in July 2015. Clean room, bathroom, and hallways including the lobby. The grab and go breakfast had a good selection to choose from and the front desk staff poured your coffee for you. The front desk were cheerful and helpful. We will stay here again.

I recently stayed for a week for a horse show. The room was covered in dust and cob webs. Don’t ever stay in room 106 if you want to sleep you can hear all the loud people in the lobby getting breakfast and checking in/out. The ceiling in the lobby was leaking water. The house keeping service kept trying to clean my room first thing every morning. Thankfully I had the door latch on but every day I woke with a bang of them trying to open my door! The bathroom was filthy the tub stopper has a nasty dirty chain on it. Behind my sink there was a filthy sink stopper. Twice housekeeping left dirty cleaning towels in my room. They complained about my make up staining the towels but would only give me one make up wipe. One is not going to clean off horse show make up! Don’t stay here the place if horrible

This hotel, like most, is in Covid-panic mode, so if you want your room cleaned, or new towels, you MUST tell them. We had a couple of occasions with reused towels, which wasnt that big a deal. But the room had a messed up handle on the bathroom door. They called us and asked if they could come fix it, but then they never came so it was just odd. The "grab and go" breakfast sucked too. A muffin? And you had to wait till at least 7am to get your nasty muffin, when many of us were already out the door to work or play. Just not the best HIE i have been in. And of course, the last night there before having to get up early for our flight, a LOUD person staying in the room next door.

I could not have been more pleased with our stay in Scottsdale at Holiday Inn & Suites.
The room are very clean and comfortable, no issues. Check in and out process was very efficient and pleasant at the front desk. Everyone was extremely pleasant and friendly! Adrian helped me book the reservation and was helpful in getting our clubs that were dropped from Club Hub for our golfing. Pleasant and friendly, the entire staff!
Exceptional breakfast that is free each morning.. bacon or sausage, omelets, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, fresh pancakes, apples, bananas, oranges, cereal, pastries, muffins, breads, various juices, orange and cranberry etc and coffee. We ate there every morning, surprisingly enough. It was that good!
I would give this stay a 5+. Perfect location, close to interstate 101 and a huge mall across the street and all sorts of restaurants.

This rating is all about the "Front Office Manager" the balance of the people (employees) I met at the are good or more/better.
You know that sometimes a title goes to someones head, they have no ability to "effect change" and invent things (there is always the video tape...).
I did ask to speak with the GM, he told me she was not available. The musk of the title was apparent even via the phone.
There is a great amount of road noise on the even side numbered rooms and the ones below X19.
I am a former "IHG Spire" and now a IHG Diamond, I had a laugh at this person. Overall, until that person is "gone" and provided you get a "quieter room", avoid this property.

We spent three nights at this property while attending a local jazz festival. The blackout shade stopped going all the way down and our room was flooded with light from the parking lot, on our way out (9:00 am) on the third day I asked the person at the front desk for room service and to have the blackout shade repaired. The desk person said he would have it taken care of, I confirmed my contact number and left for the day. This is where it falls apart, when we returned to our room at close to midnight sadly the room had not been touched . The woman at the front desk apologized and gave us another room, I did not want to have to pack up and move, she told me not to worry about it and that we could use both rooms. It only gets worse from here, when I received my credit card statement I had been charged without my consent $313 when my wife called she spoke with John who told her because I stayed in the dirty room and my slept in the room with a working blackout shade we were being charged the second room in other words it was ok for our belongs could stay in the room but not me. They never contacted me to let me know the shade could not be repaired or the room could not be cleaned, not even fresh towels or that I was being charged for solving their problem. To add insult to injury john was rude and condescending to my wife, I left a voicemail for the GM Anju Desai to call me to resolve the issue and have not received a return call- I am a business travel and spend over 70 nights a year on the road, this is by far the worst service I have ever had!!

Very disappointing. Dirty wadded up underwear in the room that we found. Gave us a measly 15 % discount off one night for room and not very apologetic. Also put us on the first floor saying was so great because of easy access. Was a joke for the price we paid. We could hear the highway and lights shining into our room from cars parking. Finally, I would say, who wants to go to pool right off the highway? It is pricey for a budget hotel.

Hello feebsfinds, Thank you for reaching out to us, we value your feedback. Your stay at our property could have definitely been better. Had the cleanliness of the room been better and the service provided during check in more truthful. Add to that the noise coming from the parking lot and highway. We want our guests to have an engaging place to rest, provide you with efficient and seamless experiences and fresh, practical, and efficient accommodations. In this case, we were not able to deliver the entire package. Also, I have sent you a Private Message to get more information about your stay and I am hoping that you would find time to respond to this. Our Hotel Management, particularly our maintenance and housekeeping teams, have taken a closer look into your concerns and are finding ways to ensure that our guests have are provided with simple pleasures and brilliant basics where it matters most. Thank you for considering our property once you come our way. I look forward to your email. Safe travels. Hector P Case Manager IHGService

Have stayed here multiple times. Rooms are basic, but clean. Check-in is pleasant. Breakfast is above average, and the attendant was pleasant and helpful. Good coffee. Bed soft, but supportive. Air conditioning works well. A *plus* for many people is that this hotel is one of the few that does NOT allow pets. The only real drawback is that traffic noise from 101 may be a problem. The noise will certainly be a problem if you use the pool.

Hello, yes we do offer special rates for Mayo patients and their families. We are however closed indefinitely for remodeling due to destruction after a fire next door. We hope to be open in about 4 months. Thanks.
