Detailed Reviews
This hotel is amazing!!! They have full hot breakfasts with sausage, eggs, toast, waffles, yogurts, muffins plus much more. It is worth it for the food alone in the morning if you are a breakfast person. Goes from 6 to 9 am. This place is not old looking at all, it is beautiful and has incredibly quiet rooms with I would have to give a 12/10 bed comfort. I stayed in 313 and it was one of the best sleeps I have ever had. It was free parking and the perfect area to drop off your rental car quickly and also get to the airport for free through the hotel in 5 mins. I think this is one of the nices hotels have ever stayed in. Pool and hot tub I didn't use, but that is one thing, just ask them to have the maintenance man come and clean, they have many trees and it is windy here so tree stuff does get in. It is a lovely pool and hot tub, beautiful sunset views from my room! I would stay here every time I come now. Thanks to all the staff there too!! Amazing!

This was my second stay at GreenTree Inn & Suites. I love the location - it is walking distance to fast food places (Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Whataburger and Panda Express) as well as having a CIrcle K next door. It is also right next to a major bus stop so traveling by bus around the city is a cinch. That said, at night there are a lot of street people roaming around which is a bit uncomfortable, but I was never bothered by them during my stay and I never saw them on the hotel grounds.
The free hotel shuttle is a huge plus. I called their desk on arrival at the airport and they arranged for an Uber to pick me up. Very convenient. Upon entering the hotel I was greeted by John who was not only extremely friendly, but so courteous and helpful. Seeing his smiling face and greeting every morning was way above the normal greeting. The man deserves a raise!
The room itself was clean and comfortable with a fridge, microwave, plenty of closet/drawer space, TV, and desk with chair. The bathroom had all the toiletries I would need and even a hairdryer. The A/C unit was adjustable which was great since the temp got to 112 F while I was there.
The hotel has other guest amenities that I wasn't expecting. A small pool, a workout room and even a guest laundry! The public areas were always well maintained and clean.
The free breakfast buffet was also a standout. I was just expecting some fruit, yogurt and cold cereal. But in addition to that, they offered hot eggs along with either diced potatoes, biscuits and gravy or sausages (depending on the day). They also had a waffle machine, several juices to choose from and muffins. Times were very accommodating as well (6-9 on weekdays and 7-10 on weekends).
They also arranged for an Uber to pick me up early on the morning of my departure free of charge!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the GreenTree Inn and Suites on 48th street and will stay there on my next visit as well.

old hotel but clean with decent breakfast. warm fluffy eggs for breakfast .i liked how they kept liquid soap and lotion in a refillable bottle. Also shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were also in refillable bottles rather than the small ones they usually have at hotels

The room was fair, but very warm. AC didn’t cool well at all. No matter what the temp was set to or what speed you set the fan to blow, the air never changed. We asked about getting a different room and the girl at the front desk said they didn’t have another room. There was no way that hotel was anywhere close to full. She just didn’t want to deal with it.
There are signs for ice machines and vending machines on each floor. The only ice machine that worked was on the first floor and there was no vending at all. We just wanted bottled water! Breakfast was a grab and go thing, I guess. Even going only an hour after it started, there was nothing left.
Outside the front door were people smoking marajuana and there was no way to get into the hotel parking lot except to go through an alley that had all kinds of strung out people looking at you like you shouldn’t be there.
My daughter and I felt unsafe walking from the parking lot into the front doors, so if you are alone or with kids you may want to choose another hotel.
We went to check out early (5:15am) and there was a sign at the desk saying “Helping another guest - be right back” or something to that effect. We waited over 15 minutes and they never showed, so we left. They ended up charging the stay to the wrong credit card (that’s why we were waiting to check out) and it just made the end of the stay unpleasant.
We were supposed to leave for 2 nights and then come back for 2 more, but there’s no way I’d go back. Nope nope nope.

No shuttle bus, but I used the free courtesy taxi fro/to PHX airport and it was fine. I had to get a receipt form the driver for Reception to reimburse me, but return was pre-booked. I see Rochelle already mentioned in a review, and I can see why. What a lovely, kind lady. She put a key by for my husband who was flying in later so he wouldn't disturb me.
Clean room and the bed was good. The seat on the W/C really needed replacing although it was clean.
The breakfast was surprisingly good and the area kept very clean and replenished. The scrambled egg was fresh and not overcooked, good quality juices, bagels, fruit, yogs, cereals with milk in cartons fruit pots, pancakes etc..
Perfect and great value for our one night stopover, thank-you.

We waited 45 minutes for a room at 3 3 pm. 10/23/2023. There were 10 others in the lobby waiting while "housekeeping" cleaned rooms and people were given keys one at a time.
The room and condition wasn't what I expected but we were committed for a one night stay for early flight.
We left the hotel 10/24/2023, flew back to STL where we were spending one night before driving home. I discovered I had left my Cpap at the hotel, called immediately and 3 times in the 2 days since. As this is an easily recognizable item I am sure housekeeping found it but all I have gotten so far is the person who cleaned that day "isn't working and nothing has been turned in".
I have requested each phone call that the hotel manager call and received nothing.
Poor customer service after extremely poor service at hotel would give -10.

A 1 star hotel pretending to be a 3 star hotel. Gross interior. Shower was so disgusting we had to walk to the dollar tree to get flip flops so we could shower. But of course the drain didn't work so our feet took a disgusting bath.
Blanket was a weird thin blanket in between two top sheets so constantly fell apart while sleeping and exposed to a probable unclean blanket. Towels had hair on them. There was also items from the last guest under the coffee table, so doubt it was cleaned properly. Cleaning crew will also enter your room without announcing themselves.
Cherry on top was their crappy excuse for "private taxis" to and from the airport. They won't show up until an hour after you need them to. The hotel says to give them two hour notice to schedule your car. I gave them 12 hour notice and then confirmed 2 hours before the car was supposed to come. They said it would be there. Car was 20 minutes late.. then 40.. then 60.
When I asked the lady at the front desk to call and ask for an update on my cab since I needed to catch a flight, she told me "I can call but they're just gonna say the same thing that they're on their way." Didn't make any effort to help me. Couldn't care less or be less accommodating.
I ended up ordering an Uber. Screw this place I'm never coming back.

Green Tree Inn Suites in Phoenix by Sky Harbor airport is by far my favorite place to stay when I travel through Phoenix and need to spend the night in a hotel. The other hotels I have tried are noisy, have too many bright lights outside and curtains that let the light in. I have had trouble sleeping in other places. I am happy I found Green Tree Inn! I sleep soundly, have none of the problems I have in the other places. This is where I will stay in the future whenever I travel through Phoenix and need a hotel for the night. Plus the staff is very professional and friendly. The best.

I had a really great time. It was peaceful. My room was spacious, very clean and well furnished. I mistakenly spilled water on my bathroom floor and when I wiped it off with paper towel, there was no dirt on it! Ample parking spaces. I liked the breakfast, it was delicious and it saved me a food hunting trip each day. The staff is professional, kind, friendly, and accommodating. Thank you Kerra, John, Graciella and Cameron. Everyone was really nice, I just don't remember all the names. Would definitely stay here again.
