We stayed here for 3 nights. It’s a nice hotel with friendly staff. It’s the small things that bother me like on the 2nd floor at the elevator only the up button can be pressed. At breakfast, at 09:00 when we came for breakfast the eggs were cold. The next day we had a pickup at 07:10 and they said breakfast starts at 06;00. I guess nobody told the kitchen staff. They only put out the food at 06:25 and the eggs were cold. The 3rd day we went down at 06:20 and everyone still had to wait for them. And guess what, the eggs were cold. The rooms are nice and you have a nice view from the room to lake Argentina.

The hotel shows well in pictures but is getting tired. The rooms are small and do not have air conditioning which was a challenge. You can open your window but may not get wind and may instead hear noises from venues around the hotel. The towels were old, worn and scratchy, the pillows were terrible and there were limited toiletries and no tea kettle or coffee maker. For a ‘luxury’ hotel it was missing ‘the luxury’. Some of the desk staff were quite nice but others were definitely lacking in customer service. They treated us like we were an inconvenience and were not particularly welcoming. We had arrived ahead of the strict 2 pm check in time but were given keys anyway, and after we returned from lunch in town we were scolded for already having our keys because they ‘never give them ahead of check in’. I like another person’s review where they indicated that the desk staff acted like they were running a hostel and not a hotel, and another where they suggested the staff were demoralized. This rang true. We had originally booked a return here after our hiking trip but cancelled and stayed elsewhere in El Calafate.

Nice hotel. Very helpful staff. Spacious lobby. Close to town (on a small hill). Rooms can get warm but fans are available at the front desk if requested. Basic hotel - very comfortable. Beautiful views of the lake from our room. We were family of 4 in 2 rooms during a Backroads hiking trip.

Nice hotel but a little bit further out from where the city main boulevard is. A nice ten min walk so not too bad. Luxurious feel to the hotel due to the decoration in the lobby. Was there over NyE and they had a very expensive menu and event so we didn’t partake in that.

THE GOOD: The hotel is beautifully decorated, with a great "elevated mountain lodge" vibe. The lobby and restaurant area are beautiful, and breakfast was tasty. Having a pool and sauna was also nice to unwind after a long day of hiking. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The hotel is not on the main strip of town but a short 10-minute walk away, so it's no inconvenience. THE NOT SO GOOD: The level of service was definitely not up to par with the price/category of the hotel. At those prices you expect attentive, effective service and that's not what we got. They seemed overwhelmed and unprepared, and they made various mistakes throughout our stay (prepared the wrong lunch boxes even though we made sure 4 times before that they had gotten the order right, mistakenly gave our room key to other guests who entered our room, etc.). None of it was that important, but their reaction made us feel like we weren't important to them at all - they even said they'd send complimentary gifts to our room to apologize, which they never did (thus making the matter even worse). Overall it's a good choice for lodging in El Calafate as long as you don't have crazy high standards regarding service.

We stayed for three nights at the hotel while visiting El Calafate. The lobby of the hotel is very spacious and inviting. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was fine, pastries, eggs, some fresh fruit, and juices. The coffee is a little out of control super black! The front staff don’t speak the best English if you absolutely don’t speak the language at all. The area around the hotel I felt safe and fine but there aren’t any shops or restaurants close by. Walking to the main street just takes about ten minutes and we didn’t find it a big deal to walk, and the city always felt safe. The biggest issue was our room. 101. Do not stay in 101! We actually paid extra to stay in this room, I’m not sure why but there were multiple issues. The keys consistently did not work to the door. It often took up to five minutes to get inside our room. Paying extra you would expect a view. The window faces uphill, So all we got a view of was a roof, and a street no view of the lake, the city or anything of any interest. The room had no drawers so there was no place to keep your clothes besides your suitcase. The TV is small and the remote hardly worked. Thankfully we really didn’t spend much time in the room, but it certainly was not worth the cost, let alone extra cost of an upgrade.

This hotel is like a hidden gem, seriously! The views are off the charts, and the customer service? Totally top-notch. If you're after a chill spot with killer scenery and awesome vibes, this place is it. Everyone was exceptionally kind. We also had a delicious dinner with one of the best pasta dishes we ever tasted. Highly, highly recommend!

Hotel has African safari style decor with animal pelts, wooden rain sticks, and plastic antler chandeliers. Has small parking area and an elevator. Rooms were nice. Good shower. Clean and comfortable beds. Window curtains were akin to tent entrance. Breakfast was average. Often ran out of cups and selection was low. Only hot food was pre-made scrambled eggs. Biggest downside was location: 20 min walk from the Main Street (Avenida de liberador) and up a large hill with only a dirt trail going up. The other entrance was walking past the hotel to the side, and going up the street and then walking back to the front of the hotel).

A beautiful hotel. Great swim area and bar. Eggs and sweets for breakfast and also boxed lunches for day trips. We had a great check in and a poor checkout so that is the only reason I am not giving this place a perfect 5. Walkable to everywhere.

A nice hotel the offered a good service, with nice rooms and excellent breakfast - If you want to eat at its restaurant, make sure you book a table or you may miss out (if you go in high season) . It even has a nice hot water pool!
