All I ever want from a hotel stay is a clean room and a comfortable bed, and I can say we got that and more at the Sheraton Salta. We enjoyed our 9 night stay and always felt welcome by the staff. As a guy that is still learning Spanish I was able to communicate in English or use my poor Spanish. The room was clean, the bed was great, the lady who cleaned out floor (room) was very thorough and the meals had selection. We mostly only ate breakfast at the hotel so can only speak about the buffet. Lucas who works the mornings at Tipas was very helpful and always friendly. We used the gym, which could be a little crowded at times, but it has a great selection of equipment. Yes the hotel is residential section, but we found that peaceful and a great selection of restaurants were just a 10 minute walk down the hill. If you are active and enjoy a good mountain climb the stairs up Cerro de San Bernardo are also very close. We will definitely stay at this Sheraton each time we visit Salta. The Staff are wonderful.

The hotel is modern and well designed. It is located a bit far from downtown but in a good residential area. The food and services are good, the internet connection is the faster I have seen in north Argentina. The staff were kind and ready for help.

The carpets are filthy. Dirty walls dirty that appear to have mold stains. Worn and soiled towels, they have a grayish tone. The air vents were black looking - like mold stains. Bedding is stained and rough. The employees are super nice. This hotel is the poorest representation of the Sheraton brand that I’ve ever seen.

We checked into the hotel and spent four nights here. We were promised joining rooms but upon check in told that they were full so we took two separate rooms being promised to be moved when one became available. We were never given one. We had issues where the door would not open and had to shake the door to open it EVERY time. This caused the keys to loose their magnetic signal. So I had to keep going for a new key. Finally was told just to use the phone by the elevator. When I used it I was admonished by the receptionist for not following hotel procedure with regards to the use of these phones. ADMONISHED! I am a paying customer and I am being quoted hotel policy?!? Finally, on top of the poor service (waiting 40 minutes for dessert and so forth) and the poor locks on the doors and rude staff, the hotel is very dated. Our room smelled of stale smoke. We usually like Sheraton and leave solid reviews but this hotel is not up to their standards and certainly not up to mine. I can not recommend this particular hotel and it pains me to say so because I know the benefit of going to a well known brand hotel to ensure a safe and pleasant stay. We felt safe here but frankly these rest was a mess. Below is a picture of the lock.

The hotel is a bit old and the service is not good. We were at breakfast and we wanted to take a cookie to later in the day, since we would stay out all day long, the staff did not allow it and they were rude about it. You pay for the service and you get this type of treatment! Do not recommend!
