We booked the suite, and i got the room on the top level. Great view over the river and sunset. Room was cleaned every day, however, they should look under the kitchen cupboards - pretty messy. Otherwise, the room was large, bathroom was clean shower was great. A/C worked great as it was pretty hot when we were there. It seems some people may have reviewed the rooms in the lower floors in the old part of the building. One of the giys on the front desk spoke geat English which helped massively. My friend Spanish is OK, but when you can speak English helps. Unfortunately they were doing works on the kitchen and dining room. The room looked great with very high ceilings and big beams. Would have been great, but such is life. Breakie was not great but understandable given the cirrcumstances. Only issue was a mix up with room costing. I assume it was an honest mistake, but it was over twice the actual cost. It was fixed up fairly quickly though. Know your conversations. Nice place cloase to the centre of town. Good lunch to be had on the river on the beach 5 minute cab ride.

In general, the hotel is nice: very nice architecture, average breakfast (with a slow service however). The room we took was nice, visually speaking. The main bed, the shower, are up stairs, in the loft. The bathroom is wet, is not well ventilated, perhaps because of the lighter plaster walls. Nice floor coating, but something noisy. Good air conditioners. I think the look and the door are not very secure. The hotel is an good area for getting out to walk, and enjoy beatiful views along the coast of Parana river. The parking is far, if you park on street you might be asked to pay a fee to a city agent. All ok, but just nice.

- building and rooms are ok, but the 50-liter water heater is inside the room gives it a cheapy look. - double-beds are just two single beds linked together and covered with double-bed sheets. - parking is just a small yard for 5 cars. If you have to leave early, wake up 15 minutes earlier and help the one-person staff move the other guest's cars... - breakfast is barely continental. just 2 slices of bread, 2 croissants, 2rolls of cheese and ham, and 1 cup of coffee, all bad and poorly served by a third party restaurant. It's not even a 2-stars hotel breakfast.. Forget the usual breakfast buffet, eggs, fruit, oat, etc. By the way, the 3rd party breakfast staff doesn't speak anything else than Spanish. Even Brazilian guests had a hard time to get understood... - Check-out is at 10 am. Ever heard of such an early check-out in a 4 stars hotel? Checkout time should be 12 pm... - the one-man staff is very nice and willing-to-help, but just one person for the whole hotel? What about security, parking, check-out, etc... Be prepared to wait in line...

We stayed for one night in January 2011 in the La Rozada together with another couple. We got superior rooms in the new hotel tower, the rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Also the bathroom was really super. Highspeed Internet access in the room was free. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The restaurant downstairs in the historic building is also very nice and we got good food for reasonable prices. We can recommend the La Rozada.

Spacious rooms with top-class furnishings and linen, great food, beautiful yard and above all fantastic service. It feels like being in your own estancia. The view to the river from the upper floors is amazing. One of my favorites.

I stayed at La Rozada with my hubby last October, during a pleasure trip up the Paraná River, and as lodgings go it was certainly the highlight of the trip. A converted Spanish Colonial house, the hotel is cozy and peaceful, but with surprisingly spacious rooms. We picked a corner duplex, with lovely views of the river and a beautiful high beamed ceiling. The decor is tasteful, and the orange-and-green bathroom almost lavishly large. We did not have much occasion to use the kitchen appliances, but I can imagine that business travellers do; we met quite a few of them, but the place was more than peaceful enough for our romantic getaway. The staff was very helpful, both in the hotel itself and in the newly-opened restaurant (I loved the checkered floor!), and offered excellent guidance when we asked for tourist information. The hotel is merely blocks away from many of the city highlights, and there are plenty other restaurants and cafés nearby. All in all, a charming experience, and one I'd love to repeat!
