Spent a night at this hotel in mid December. The hotel is fairly old and tired, noticeable in carpets and furniture. But the bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and serviceable, and unlike other reviews no strange smells or broken fixtures. If you are on a budget this hotel will get the job done, the location is perfect for Recoleta. Doorman is indifferent. In many ways this feels more like a studio in AirBnb than an hotel, but it works if all you want is a decent place as a base in BA.
Across the street from the Alvear Palace and a block away from the Cementerio, hotel is a great location from which to explore Buenos Aires. Subway stop within walking distance. Rooms were comfortable, nothing luxurious, but equipped with kitchenette and refrigerator, helping with meal costs. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was usual buffet.
Stayed here with my university for 2 weeks, was a pleasant stay! The only issue was the WiFi, it’s not reliable, but other than that I’d recommend this place. The staff was amazing, the breakfast served was wonderful, I would stay here again.
A Very old hotel but it has its charm. They have a really old style Elevator where you have to open the doors manually i found it quite interesting but i can see how some people would have a panic attack in it lol. The room is old and dated so is the bathrooms, but i found everything to be clean and comfortable. This is an old Hotel so the soundproofing in the hotel is horrible its why i left music on but the bed was comfortable and i slept like a baby with my music on though. If your one of those people who cant sleep unless its dead silence then i suggest finding another place. Security was decent and they always had someone at the front desk the doors are locked at night except for guests. Overall a nice cheap hotel in recoleta and i would recommend if your on a bit of a budget. Its easy to grab a taxi just walk over to alvear hotel right beside it there is always one or two waiting there.…
The hotel have a good location, near the most important place what you need to know in Recoleta, like Recoleta Mall, square, cemetery and Pilar’s church, the friendly staff. There are goods restaurants. I reccomend the El Burladero has a great paella.
