The Purple Tree Bed and Breakfast is a truly an exceptional place to stay. Whether overnight or long term. I personally have stayed now for 1 1/2 months. The PT is exceptionally well designed, built and maintained. An absolutely beautiful hideaway in the heart of Paranaque from the pool with waterfalls to the immaculate hallways lined with painting of the Filipino Artist Jun Beato. The hospitality felt here is unlike any other place I have ever stayed, including 5 star hotels. The owners are extremely hospitable and enjoy passing the time chatting with their guests. It is readily apparent that their number 1 priority is for their guests to have a nice experience There is 24 hour security and they are well covered with HD CCTV cameras to ensure the security of their

the incident happened at 0130 am we were woken up by loud noise and laughing and suddenly they were opening our door my husband told them to close the door i got up opened the door and seen 4 girls walking away no sign of the night supervisor. now if you check the cctv footage you will see i am not lying. next morning the night supervisor came up to me and my husband to say she was sorry to what happened as she was scared of the girls so she gave the master keys to the girls. why didnt she notify the owners of what had happened? I beleived the owners came in sunday afternoon. How did i know that? well, we spoke to the wife that own the hotel on monday morning before we left, and she had no idea what went on. She thanked us for letting her know what went on. we also suggested to

Dear Sir/Ma'am , This is a second review on the same incident narrated in the previous one below. As we have explained, it was an honest mistake of one of the members of our staff. At no time was your security compromised. It is just too harsh to suggest that our security is inadequate from this unfortunate incident. Further, we would like to assure you that all our doors have double locks which perhaps you didn't realize then. I hope you will stay with us again as you said you would when you left.

Dear Sir/Ma'am, We are saddened by comments you have indicated in your review. I remember this incident where in our front desk staff was showing rooms to some guests ( young ladies) who had the intent to check in. Our staff got confused and accidentally opened your room door slightly. We did recognize this mistake and as owners, we personally apologized to you, and so did our staff. Allow us to clarify some points though: 1. The Key cards were never in the possession of the guests and were in the possession of our staff at all times. Never had the guests have independent access to any of the rooms. Our staff was never "afraid" of the guests but did get confused and made a mistake by opening your room. 2. A review of our CCTV system shows that our staff committed an honest mistake and had no willful intent to enter your room. She has been reprimanded accordingly. 3. We made our best effort to apologize, explain and make this up to you. You did accept our apology and said not to worry about it. We would like to clearly state our facility is fully secured. We have 24 hour security and the entire property is covered by CCTV. The incident that happened was an honest mistake by our staff and we do admit that. Again, allow us to apologize for this and assure you that at no time was your security placed at risk. With regards to your comments on the coffee and breakfast, a review of your bills does not reflect any charges for coffee. In fact your request for fresh fruit juices with your breakfast was given with no charge. We do not charge for coffee with your breakfast. Also, please note that the breakfast that comes with the room is a continental breakfast, which is toast, eggs, marmalade and coffee/juice. If you want to upgrade your breakfast, you may choose from our menu. It is sad to know your sentiments with respect to your stay. I personally saw you a few times and asked you how your stay was going and you would indicate it was going well and in fact did complement the establishment and even the chef. You even indicated you were staying with us upon your return. I just wish you could have raised your concerns when you were with us so we could have done something about it. Moreover, in your acceptance of our apology, you did tell our Manager not to worry about it. Criticism is good and we use this to improve our services. We are open to criticism. It is also important to be fair and factual when writing a review. We hope that this explanation will place the events that transpired in proper perspective. We take this review seriously and rest assured we will correct and improve and take your comments in consideration. Thank you.

My husband and I brought our son to Manila for a sporting tryout. We chose the hotel on the advice of a coach that said it was very close to where our son would be staying. Knowing nothing of Manila or the area, why not? The Purple Tree arranged a car to greet us at the airport. After two days of travelling it was most wonderful to see a sign with our names on it. We checked in and the rooms were very clean but nowhere to put your belongings. We planned on staying 10-14 days so did not want to live out of a suitcase! The staff were amazingly accommodating, moving us to a room with shelves and small desk but telling us if we need more they would take care of it. But it was just right. Very clean, well maintained, comfortable, quiet and choice of fan or Air Con. Breakfast every

Dear Kelli A, Thank you dearly for your review. Your appreciation of your PT experience inspires our staff and us to work hard to make our guests experiences memorable when staying at The Purple Tree B&B. I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that we have installed cabinets in our Superior Rooms. We have recognized from our customer feedback that this is an essential need, specially when staying for a few days. When you come and visit us again, you can have this in the Superior rooms. We look forward to having you and your family again in your future stays in the Manila. Warm regards from the Philippines. JJ

In my solo 5-week travel to the islands in March-April, one bed & breakfast in Paranaque was a truly pleasurable little oasis metres from the acid-rock noise and traffic and fierce tropical heat. My daughter booked me a 2 night stay at The Purple Tree. I booked 3 more nights prior to departure from the country. Walking in through the streetfront, a wide generous blue and green space opens up and a duhat tree rises in the middle. The 'blue' are the pool below and the sky above it; the green are the duhat and the grass-covered yard laid in with brick. The owner, Suzy Atayde, designed the place. She named it Purple after the colour of the blossoms that fall off the duhat tree at this time of the year. My room overlooking the scene is spacious and immaculate, air-conditioned of

My family and I took a trip to manila for a relative's birthday. He lives in Paranaque so naturally, we wanted to book a place near by. We found The Purple Tree through tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. Despite it being located along one of the main streets of BF homes (President's ave.), Purple tree is surprisingly quiet and very relaxing. The noise coming from the busy street isn't heard at all once inside the room. We were lucky enough to have also met the owners of the hotel, who were very pleasant and welcoming. The place is extremely well kept and in great condition, qualities not normally present in budget hotels we've previously stayed in. Rooms were very clean and cozy as well. The service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. An added bonus was

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and we would certainly take your comments in consideration. We'd like to point out though that we do have bigger rooms which may opt for. We have the standard de luxe and superior rooms which you could have availed of, if so requested. We even have family rooms which are good for three persons. With regards to the breakfast, our fees come with a free continental breakfast (toast, 2 eggs and coffee. You may have jam with it, if requested). If this is not of your liking, we do have other items on the menu which you may order. For the wifi we will certainly look into this and see how we can further improve this. We hope though that you will consider staying with us again. Thank you.

I visited the Purple Tree in the Philippines for the first time. I stayed here for two weeks for a business trip. Purple tree is a really nice quite place on a good busy street with a lot of variety of shops, malls and restaurants. Really good location for travelling, making business trips and going out. Great staff which take care of all your needs without a question. The service was amazing from the moment that I arrived till I departed. I had the chance the meet the owners of the place. They were very welcoming and lovely people. I really enjoyed my stay and it was everything I wanted and more.

It was my first time to book an event with this b&b. It was my son's graduation party a few hours ago. The owner is so friendly and maintained that kind of welcoming warmth from the day I inquired, made a reservation, had the party and when time came for us to leave the place. It was, indeed, a happy place to share with family and friends. A place to relax, enjoy good food and escape the heat by taking a dip in their zen-like pool! The place is a gem and strategically located within BF Parañaque and not too far from SM BF. The staff are so friendly, helpful and so accommodating to my needs and I can very well say to anyone who checks in. I have noticed some guests checking in while I was having a party and I must say that the staff maintained a very friendly attitude despite the

It was my brother-in-law's birthday last February 15 and we all decided to have a "staycation" there. We were allowed to check-in an hour early and we marveled at how comfortable the beds were! The bathrooms were pristine! The staff really waited on us hand and foot! They are readily available when needed but they do not hover. The food was great! the complimentary continental breakfast of toast, eggs, and coffee was enough to start the day, but you can order from their menu should you want more (my husband and I ordered breakfast sausages and bacon to add to the set breakfast and 2 plates of the Tosilog!). We also just had to order pancakes, as I always read about the "most delicious fluffy pancakes". And the reviews are right: they are delicious and fluffy! My nephews (ages 7
