My partner and I came across this place during our many visits to Zark's Burgers located in the area. We finally checked in two weeks ago and I have to say that our stay was quite pleasant. We were in room 205 which I thought had the nicest view of the pool area.
Here's what I loved about the quaint Bed & Breakfast place in the heart of President's Avenue, BF Homes: 1) The location was close to SM BF and many other establishments which made grabbing a bite to eat literally a walk in the park. 2) The room was incredibly cozy; the bed was clean and comfortable, the air-conditioning kept the room cool despite the scorching hot weather outside, the TV had decent cable reception and the bathroom, which is my personal favorite, was clean from every inch. I loved the huge mirror inside and I appreciate that it came with 2 large bath towels and 4 smaller ones. The shower came with a heater which is a plus, and I just loved how white, simple, and clean everything was. 3) There was immediate assistance when you call the reception area for help. 4) There were CCTV cameras in the hallways to ensure everyone's safety.
Although my partner and I did have a great stay, there are also a few things we wished could've been better. 1) The breakfast was average and could've had more variety. We were served scrambled eggs, butter, a slice of toasted wheat bread and our choice of beverage (either hot coffee or hot chocolate) which was fine, but it would've been nicer if guests could have other choices like pancakes, hotdogs, bacon and have fresh juices for those who aren't too fond of hot drinks in the morning. 2) We didn't know or bothered to ask if toiletries were provided because there weren't any in the bathroom. But luckily, we brought our own. 3) Our room was located in front of the staircase and since the doors weren't soundproof, we could hear everyone who passed by. 4) The reason we're only giving this place a 3-star rating is because we think the overall cost was a tad bit too pricey considering it's only a Bed & Breakfast and the standard breakfast wasn't amazing for the price we paid. Also, a nearby and well-known hotel in Madrigal Business Park charge only P1000 more than the fee at The Purple Tree for an overnight stay.
With that said, it was still a pleasant experience. There are a few things the place needs to work on, but for travelers who need an okay place to stay or for people who'd like to spend a little less money on a night away from home, The Purple Tree is a great place to do so.

Dear PMCSSPO, Thank you very much for taking time to write us a review. We greatly appreciate the compliments and we sincerely thank you for calling our attention on some aspects of our property. Kindly note as follows: 1. We do offer upgraded breakfast composed of the items you made mention, and these are all listed on a menu. Our staff should have informed you of this. Our apologies from our staff for not having informed you. This has been stressed to the front desk staff. 2. Toiletries are included in the room. I am very much surprised that this was omitted in the particular room assigned to you. Apologies for this as well. We provide shampoo with conditioner and soap, good for 2 persons and should you need more, you are free to ask for more. If our staff was asked, then it would have been provided for. Again, measures have been taken for this not to happen again. Our apologies. 3. For guests who are sensitive to noise and who do inform us of such, we can assign rooms which are very quiet. There are sound prevention measures installed on doors, but sometimes we are unable to control the noise created by other guests as they come in. Should we be given the opportunity to serve you again, kindly inform us upon reservation of the request for a more quiet location. 4. We are sorry that you have mentioned that you found us too pricey, for being "just a bed & breakfast." We strive to give our guests good value for their stay with top of the line beds and linen, Our towels are also top of the line. We provide amenities which the hotels you mentioned in Alabang provide, at a lower cost. B&B's are not inferior to hotels. We are just different. We hope you give us a chance to serve you again. And again, thank you for your feedback. Respectfully, The Purple Tree Management

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners when I checked-in, wonderful people! Check-in was a breeze, free Wi-Fi, though complimentary water would be greatly appreciated. The A/C worked just fine, though the drain from the shower was clogged but that didn't ruin our stay. We'll certainly be back.

No water all night and all morning. No wifi 1/2 the time. Only one electrical outlet in the entire room worked and had to rearrange the room, just to be able to use the one outlet for multiple devices. Stayed Here July 3 and 4, 2022. The staff did their best, but blamed it on Manila water problems? Unacceptable and if it is the city of Manila problems, that's unacceptable also. Big city, should have decent accommodations'. I guess I got what I paid for :(

Dear Sir/Ma'am, We are saddened by comments you have indicated in your review. I remember this incident where in our front desk staff was showing rooms to some guests ( young ladies) who had the intent to check in. Our staff got confused and accidentally opened your room door slightly. We did recognize this mistake and as owners, we personally apologized to you, and so did our staff. Allow us to clarify some points though: 1. The Key cards were never in the possession of the guests and were in the possession of our staff at all times. Never had the guests have independent access to any of the rooms. Our staff was never "afraid" of the guests but did get confused and made a mistake by opening your room. 2. A review of our CCTV system shows that our staff committed an honest mistake and had no willful intent to enter your room. She has been reprimanded accordingly. 3. We made our best effort to apologize, explain and make this up to you. You did accept our apology and said not to worry about it. We would like to clearly state our facility is fully secured. We have 24 hour security and the entire property is covered by CCTV. The incident that happened was an honest mistake by our staff and we do admit that. Again, allow us to apologize for this and assure you that at no time was your security placed at risk. With regards to your comments on the coffee and breakfast, a review of your bills does not reflect any charges for coffee. In fact your request for fresh fruit juices with your breakfast was given with no charge. We do not charge for coffee with your breakfast. Also, please note that the breakfast that comes with the room is a continental breakfast, which is toast, eggs, marmalade and coffee/juice. If you want to upgrade your breakfast, you may choose from our menu. It is sad to know your sentiments with respect to your stay. I personally saw you a few times and asked you how your stay was going and you would indicate it was going well and in fact did complement the establishment and even the chef. You even indicated you were staying with us upon your return. I just wish you could have raised your concerns when you were with us so we could have done something about it. Moreover, in your acceptance of our apology, you did tell our Manager not to worry about it. Criticism is good and we use this to improve our services. We are open to criticism. It is also important to be fair and factual when writing a review. We hope that this explanation will place the events that transpired in proper perspective. We take this review seriously and rest assured we will correct and improve and take your comments in consideration. Thank you.

the incident happened at 0130 am we were woken up by loud noise and laughing and suddenly they were opening our door my husband told them to close the door i got up opened the door and seen 4 girls walking away no sign of the night supervisor.
now if you check the cctv footage you will see i am not lying.
next morning the night supervisor came up to me and my husband to say she was sorry to what happened as she was scared of the girls so she gave the master keys to the girls.
why didnt she notify the owners of what had happened? I beleived the owners came in sunday afternoon. How did i know that? well, we spoke to the wife that own the hotel on monday morning before we left, and she had no idea what went on. She thanked us for letting her know what went on. we also suggested to put a security chain inside the door.

Dear Sir/Ma'am , This is a second review on the same incident narrated in the previous one below. As we have explained, it was an honest mistake of one of the members of our staff. At no time was your security compromised. It is just too harsh to suggest that our security is inadequate from this unfortunate incident. Further, we would like to assure you that all our doors have double locks which perhaps you didn't realize then. I hope you will stay with us again as you said you would when you left.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and we would certainly take your comments in consideration. We'd like to point out though that we do have bigger rooms which may opt for. We have the standard de luxe and superior rooms which you could have availed of, if so requested. We even have family rooms which are good for three persons. With regards to the breakfast, our fees come with a free continental breakfast (toast, 2 eggs and coffee. You may have jam with it, if requested). If this is not of your liking, we do have other items on the menu which you may order. For the wifi we will certainly look into this and see how we can further improve this. We hope though that you will consider staying with us again. Thank you.

This B&B is actually quite far from Manila town (1hour + driving distance with the traffic). It also took us nearly 2 hours from airport to reach this B&B! (just outrageous).
For traveller who wants to go around manila, I would strongly suggest you to choose the accommodation near the manila center than this place.
Room is kinda small. Interior of the B&B is just so so only.
We had problem with our toilet bowl flushing, it took them some times to fix it.
And we were shocked when the staff come to collect money from us for using the swimming pool! We paid 200 peso for 2 person.
Overall, just an average B&B, but with very bad location and traffic jam.

Dear Sir/Ma'am, We refer to your review with respect to your stay with us. The location of our B&B is in the South of Manila and all references to our B&B is clear on this. We even show our map on our website. We never claimed or indicated that we are in the the heart of Manila. The Manila traffic which you experienced was beyond our control. We are sorry that your trip was timed at a time where heavy rains just occurred and it was a day that the traffic was beyond normal conditions. With regards to the rooms, please note that rooms are inspected thoroughly before allowed for use, and this includes the toilets and all bathroom fixtures. Your room's toilet malfunctioned the morning after your check in. Our maintenance people noted that there were debris in the toilet that caused the malfunction. This was addressed as soon as you reported it and in fact you were given access to the toilet in the nearest room to you for your use. The maintenance report shows that this was addressed and resolved within 25 minutes after the complaint was made. With regards to pool use- it is uncommon for B&B's to offer this amenity. Considering that we keep our room prices low, we certainly need to impose a minimal charge for the use of pool facilities, for maintenance purposes. This charge is only applied to guests availing of our standard promo rates and not for the de luxe and superior rooms guests. This charge also covers the use of towels and the toiletries provided to guests when in the pool. We hope for your understanding in this regard. Just the same, we value your comments and thank you for staying with us. Should there be an opportunity that you may stay with us again, we will certainly try our best to make your stay more enjoyable.

In my solo 5-week travel to the islands in March-April, one bed & breakfast in Paranaque was a truly pleasurable little oasis metres from the acid-rock noise and traffic and fierce tropical heat. My daughter booked me a 2 night stay at The Purple Tree. I booked 3 more nights prior to departure from the country.
Walking in through the streetfront, a wide generous blue and green space opens up and a duhat tree rises in the middle. The 'blue' are the pool below and the sky above it; the green are the duhat and the grass-covered yard laid in with brick. The owner, Suzy Atayde, designed the place. She named it Purple after the colour of the blossoms that fall off the duhat tree at this time of the year.
My room overlooking the scene is spacious and immaculate, air-conditioned of course. Morning starts with with a free continental of egg, rice and coffee out in the yard or in the café where the wi-fi is much stronger. Try the pancakes-- better than the ones at SM.
That business done, I'm wading into the pool and standing forever in the 'waterfall'. It's not always that quiet. On my last night in the country, a dozen young Korean students on vacation partied all over the place particularly the pool -- with rock music played at a thousand decibels.
A new SM and other malls further up Sucat Road are within a 10 to 15-minute walk from the Purple. Manila Memorial Park is about the same distance in the opposite direction.
The staff attends to you at all times: get your clothes laundered and pressed, fix you a late night snack, play the music you prefer while you're on Facebook, gets you a cold beer (no ice, please) when you're hot and tired from all that touring across town.
I fully recommend the Purple Tree. The low price is not all that's great about this little oasis.

Hi. There are 3 Terminals used for International Flights.Could you advice which Terminal you are referring to. If its Terminal 3, we are just about 15 Km. The route though is via the Skyway and it only takes 15 mins. Terminal 1 is 16 kms. away and it would take 30 mins to get there. Terminal 2 is 18 kms and would also take about 30 mins.
Hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further concerns. Respectfully, JJ
