When I travelled with my friend in the Philippines earlier 2019, we stayed in Acacia Hotel as we will be travelling around south of the metro manila. its 1 hour or less away from the airport, and has few malls and variety of restaurants around. The rooms we stayed in is comfortable and spacious enough. Breakfast buffet was also good!
Been here for quarantine. My personal choice as the location is near to my place in Batangas, for easy pick up after the results of swab tests. The room is spacious, clean and nice. Staff are polite and approachable. Good view of Rizal windmills from my window. Close to Alabang business and commercial districts.
The bulding and facade looks nice. They have bathtubs and walk in showers which is a plus. Although if you are 5ft 10 its a bit small for the bathtub only drawback is the water pressure it will take awhile for it to be full also the water spilling from it is very messy because of poor drainage. The lighting is not that good. It could be i got a suite with broken lights. The TV is too far away from the bed. and it would look too small for me. The staff are friendly but not efficient... We should have checked in at 3pm plus we were so tired we just wanted to sleep. But alas they informed me that my room was taken. Which made my first impression bad... BUT they upgraded it to a junior suite which made me a bit happy but not for too long. We have to wait for more than hour at the lobby. First they said to guve them 30 mins. Then another 20 mins.. thrn another 15 mins. We were not happy even with the upgrade as we wanted to rest. Then finally after seeing 10 people check in successfully after us. We were given the key. INTERNET is a SAD 15 to 20 mbps... and they said 3 devices but we only got 2 to work. I had to go down and ask for a new one. Also if you are a GLOBE subscriber. You wont have full bar or even a signal at the hotel. Which is odd. Housekeeping took 20 mins to give us an extra pillow and its not 24 hours so get stuff done or else... The parking was too dark.. are all the lights busted?? I have to use high beam just to park. It could be that the pandemic has drastically affected the service. But again service is service. Foe that I would choose another hotel.…
Though short, I enjoyed my stay in Acacia Hotel because of their helpful/caring staff and complete amenities inside the room. The team from reception, concierge and security were all amazing. They were there to offer assistance and brief you about the need-to-know things especially for first-timers. They gave me a welcome drink and welcome platter voucher which I used by ordering from the Room Service. Also during this time, having a fridge, microwave oven and stove inside the room is highly essential. Thus, I was happy to be accorded a room with these amenities. Thank you very much Team Acacia!
During the COVID-19 period there was a mandatory quarantine period in a by the government approved hotel. At the airport arrival a reservation of a 48 hours stay must be showed before leaving the Manila Int. airport. The Acacia hotel had a special rate including full board; 4 500 php per night including VAT and room charges. The full board, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be compared with the budget airline food in a take-out packaging. Breakfast was apparently only for Filipinos; milk fish or adobo. No bread or toast. This was only available à la carte for the price of 295 php. There was an empty mini-bar, but 3 small water bottles were complimentary. A can of softdrink for lunch was 163 php charged on your bill. I had for dinner fish and chips with rice; in the Philippines chips is as crisps in the UK. For lunch chicken teriyaki with rice. Not bad but very poor (and small) for a 4 or 5 star hotel. Of course served with a plastic spoon and fork (no knife). Keep in mind that deliveries from outside were strictly forbidden! The hotel charged 1 800 php for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel; note that the coupon taxi charges 530 Php. The quarantine guest is not allowed to leave the room during his stay. The food is delivered in front of the door on a chair. A hotel with amenities is therefore useless during this COVID-19 period. The hotel staff can release you only with the clearance certification. Mine was released at 2:16pm; 20 hours after my arrival at the hotel. The hotel let me pay for the 2 nights anyway as their check-out time was 11am! Like you were allowed to check out at 11am already! It shows that there is no clear thinking or flexibility in this hotel at all. A hotel bill of 11 420 php for a 22 hours lock-up stay in a hotel room. Better to avoid this hotel for quarantine or stay-cations.…
