We were booked to stay at this hotel for a week. Upon arrival, the bell staff could not be bothered to help our group of 5 travellers, 3 rooms. Our taxi driver had to go into a back alley, we were sent into a dark hallway where we encountered security who told us to get out.

I've been going to the Mandela Rhodes Place Suite Hotel for about 4 years now, sometimes twice a year, and every time, I feel very much at home. All the staff are helpful and friendly, and cannot do enough to help the guests. The rooms are cleaned very well, and amenities

The hotel: Mandela Rhodes is a mediocre property advertised by Expedia as a 4 star hotel, but in reality is not even a hotel at all but a residence as they don’t have rooms, instead, they offer apartments. We were booked in a 1bdr apartment for 10 nights. The apartments were

It is a good hotel, decent facilities. Somewhat strange design and interconnection between towers, but that is subjective. Good, spacious rooms. What left me with a bad feeling were the following points: 1. Booking made through Booking.com (March 5-10). No pre-payment required,

Excellent location, facilities and team assisting... My Twins definitely enjoyed themselves in Capetown and Mandela’s Rhode Hotel... Was amazing to see my babies feeling home at the hotel just like as it wasn’t the first time.

Its always an important factor when traveling with kids, that they are comfortable :) This in turn will hopefully ensure that Mandela Rhodes Place becomes your “home” again when next in Cape Town. We had no problem with Wi-Fi, it was perfect in our room. Two restaurants in the building for breakfast one of which also does dinner and an Indian restaurant open from lunch time. Long street is 5 mins away with plenty of bars and places to eat or the v&A is five minutes by taxi.

How often are the shuttles to the Victoria and alfred waterfront?
It may be different seasonally, but my husband and I were there in August and it offered pick ups and drop offs in the morning, around lunchtime, and around 3ish.
