We stayed 5 nights and my family of 3 loved staying at this hotel. Upon check in, staff was friendly and attentive. The courtyard is beautiful and inviting. The rooms were clean and bed and pillows very comfortable which means a great nights sleep. Breakfast each morning was wonderful with an excellent buffet and a hot, made to order menu available. We had a room with a sea view, which we loved, but some might find the street noise too much. We loved watching the sunset from the restaurant too. So glad we booked this hotel and will book again in the future!
My wife and I stayed here for 5 days in January. We loved this hotel. The service was spot on, super friendly, professional and respectful. It's actually pretty hard to get that combination right. We loved our suite overlooking the sea and thought the food was top notch. The vibrant courtyard is clearly popular with locals and I could see why, it's just lovely! Visit it to stay, or for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You'll enjoy it.
I returned to this hotel after 10 years. t has undergone a major refurbishment but retained it heritage and charm. Located on the seafront opposite the ocean it enjoys beautiful sunsets and the terrace provides a nice seating area to enjoy breakfast watching all the early morning activity of walkers runners etc, I had a loft room which was both spacious and quirky. I dined in the Shoreditch restaurant but was not impressed by the food. The hotel is about 10 minutes in a cab from the centre or Waterfront where there is a good choice of restaurants. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful in particular Nelise at reception and the legendary Goodwill who was there on my previous visits. A really nice place to stay and I hope to return.
Amazing setting, great service and definitely the place to be when you want to chill and watch the world go by. Go early and sit on the veranda. The paragliding landing zone is directly opposite. The courtyard also has a great vibe and is very popular.
The Winchester’s Shoreditch courtyard experience has found its way near the top of out Cape Town dining list. The booking process and reception were not on point today but the rest of it absolutely was! Kudos to our “server” Vati (Vatiswa) who who looked after us - her knowledge of the menu and wine list translated into a great lunch. Chefs produced awesome flavors and presentations again. 👌
