ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE AT PALACE HOTEL. 1. We found heroine needles in the bathroom cupboards. We put about 6 in a plastic bag and took it down stairs. 2.Requested a refund and to leave the moment we saw it which was an hour or two into our stay. 3.No manager on duty so we were forced to stay till the morning when he advised we would be refunded. So he gave us another room. 4.managers came the next morning heard the story took down my banking details and assured I'd have a refund within 7 days. 5.it is 2 to 3 weeks later still no refund and only to tell me he will not be giving a refund anymore... 6. Rude, unprofessional, dirty unpleasant stay I recommend this place to no one..

Dear Chase, While we are sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay and appreciate your right to voice your disappointment, as discussed with the management team onsite a full investigation into this incident needs to take place to determine the extent/seriousness of the allegations. Our internal processes have been followed, previous guests contacted, and the unit was checked by multiple staff members prior to your occupation with no clear signs of these items being noted. We discussed with you that we believe the best option would be to report this to the SAPS for their further investigation, DNA, and chemical testing to see what these needles were used for, however you did not want to proceed in this manner. The needles are still secured in our possession, and we are willing to move ahead with this option as it is a serious matter. Kind Regards

The hotel was fair, the staff were nice very helpfull. The meal's were not very nice because it was the same thing every day, they didn't change the menu at all. Breakfast was not english breakfast as they said it was. The pool was not clean you had to ask them to clean it before you could go in it. The owner of the hotel was always picking on the staff he was not very nice. I would not go there again to far from the shop's and market.

What a pathetic service I got. On the 29th we checked in with my friends. Firstly we didn't get terms and conditions of the apartment. We stayed with stinking dustbin for days. We had to request towels after spending 2 days with dirty towels even though we put them in tubs as requested. Everyday we had to request iron because there is non in the apartments then because there is no sense of urgency in them you wait 1 hour or more. Never to mention the quality of that iron it is sticky as it is not cleaned. Mind you there is no cleaning material so you can't clean that iron. My sister suffered from sinus because their carpet is dirty floor to floor. The environment does not accommodate everyone. There is mistake happened in one of our apartments because we booked 2 apartments. There ladies spilled a eye lashes glue on that bed then it was communicated to us. We agreed to pay however it was never explained how and when we were supposed to pay. Then they started telling us about the carpet that was damaged because of that glue. Because we were not aware of the carpet being damage we rushed to check what happened to it as we were shocked of that incident. While at reception everyone there was shouting at us and talking at the same time and it was 4 staff members there. You cant even talk because is everyone shouting at the same time. When we got into the apartment the stain they referring to it was far away from where the incident happened so there was no dripping of the glue from the bed to where it was. We rushed to buy detergent as the manager Buhle has advised that it is either we remove it ourselves or we have to pay for all the loss happened i.e is days that would be spent while removing the whole carpet because they can't accommodate anyone in the while fixing and doing quotes. So you can imagine how much will that cost. The Palace they can't maintain their carpet however they expect the guest yo to pay. We had to cancel our activities to try and fix the mess, only to find out that stain has been there for long. When we call the manager to come and check the stain he took 30 minutes who is being inconvenienced in this situation is the guest. When he got there we showed him then he brushed it off and now concentrated on the bed stain as he didn't frustrated us. So it felt like they were trying to pin it on us taking advantage of us. In the morning when before we checked out we went to reception to find on payments arrangement. We got there 6:20 there manager was not in as yet so we advised who ever who minding the reception that we are checking out at 7:30. as our bus is departing 8:00. When we were about to check out and got to reception we find receptionist and a student I guess is a trainee. They advised we should pay before living the hotel. This was not communicated to us both staff members at reception wanted to explain. We told them to save our time and don't try to explain as we had a bus to catch and we asked ona way to pay at that moment they advised us that it has to be directly or manually. We did not have R421 to round it off in cash so it was best to swipe at that time, however they insisted on us paying cash. So because we can't use the card we had to go to our other friends out because they were already waiting out of apartment to see if can't contribute towards it. When got back with my other friends inside as our money couldn't get to that amount that when they gave us speed point to swipe. The Palace is 4 star hotel I expected their level to 4 star level as well. They didn't handle the whole situation with respect and confidentiality because even the security at the door knew about the incident. They have I'll treated and humiliated us in front of other guest. Shouting at us if we are kids. The day we requested the apartment to be cleaned it was not cleaned. My friend was that she should not runaway, if we managed to pay to stay there and do other activities why would you run away. She was humulated in front of everyone. I stayed at The Palace for two nights. Room was very clean and comfortable. Reception staff was very friendly and efficient. Bath is a bit small. Struggled with warm water but the matter was resolved. I enjoyed my stay. Nice restaurant downstairs.

A very nice place situated on the Golden Mile of one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. A home away from home, really. The manager and team are extremely friendly and warm. I would recommend The Palace to all those who really want to relax, as well as have lots of excitement, you will certainly be made to feel at home.

Comfortable and clean hotel. Situated at a great location. Stunning views from the rooms and restaurant. Nice pool area, Good restaurant and friendly staff. Close to the harbour if you are staying over for a cruise.

A beautiful hotel overlooking the Indian Ocean. Stunning views of the ocean and promenade. Reception area and restaurant is lovely. A little store is also present. Very convenient undercover parking is available for hotel guests. Entry into the hotel is directly from the parking. Will definitely book here again.

Aircon did not work well in the bedroom room was very noisy when the aircon was on Staff were very friendly and assisted with a free upgrade Ocean view was amazing...this made the stay more enjoyable..

The only problems I encountered in my room was that the window doesn't slide open, the TV isn't pleasing because one can't see clearly and also I thought that all rooms have showers but after checking my choices I found out that I had an option for a bath or a shower so that part was my bad. But overall I had a great time there
