At the entrance we were welcomed very nice by the secretary. We loved to visit the Spa area due to its plesent atmosphere and the polite workers. We also enyojed the hotel rooms with its amazing view on the sea. All in all I can strongy recomand this hotel to everyone who needs a stressless timeout in a beautiful village.

Extremely nice hotel. Slept extremely good. The bathroom and bathtub were also very enjoyable. It was in nice walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The food was also perfect and the buffet was the highlight of the day because of how nice it was.

My husband and I stayed for 3 wonderful nights. The hotel is beautiful, the view is breathe taking and the staff is so friendly. The manager Daniel is so helpful, he really made our stay awesome, advised us must visit spots. It was awesome, really.

Absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help myself and my partner with an issue we had with booking. The rooms were stunning and the breakfast was so so good. The manager was very welcoming and extremely helpful as well. Great location and amazing facilities as well.

We stayed for 90 minutes, of a 3 night stay. 50+ rooms but absolutely no staff in whole complex - just one aged gate guard with our room key. A company rep turned up, apologised saying no-one else had booked so no staff. He offered to help us find other accommodation - we did and now cannot get refund from them and Agoda who sold the property 'cannot' / will not assist.

Very comfy and clean rooms, with breathtaking ocean views Staff very friendly and accommodating. Fantastic yummy food with a great variety of meals and awesome views of the town and bay. Little kiddies area to keep the little ones entertained while you enjoy your dinner.

Welcome: Lackluster welcome by reception, asked to sign, given keys and then told to drive to room. Room: They have tried to update the rooms with a neutral palette and lovely art, but they fall short with the finish. The toilet seat was painted with paint rather than just replaced with a new one. The shower door didn’t close and there was quite a bit of mold at the bottom. We had a leak outside our door, so there was always a puddle outside the room we had to step over. Nice veranda with a lovely view. No phone in the room to call reception about any issues and it's so far from the room you can’t pop there to ask anything. Location: Not really in Plett so you have to drive for the beach / to go out for dinner. Breakfast: Was good. Some staff were very helpful and friendly. Others looked you up and down and just ignored you. Nice selection of jams and hot food. Would not stay again as staff made us feel unwelcome and the finish of the room was too rough. Okay for budget accommodation if you can’t find anything else.

Overall fine stay. Did expect a bit more for the price paid. Property needs some maintenance work like the outside garden light that was just hanging on its side, no bulbs in the ceiling fan, unkept gardens etc. Covid was hard on hotels so can understand why maintenance work has been lacking. Breakfast spread was very limited. Reception seemed to be closed with check in being done in restaurant and check out just with the security guard at the gate. Would stay again if some improvements are done

Very bad stay. Old lowdated hotel. Minor choice of drinks. Poor breakfast. A wonder there were more guests than we. They made the same mistake. The advertising on booking.com was not the reality. We hope that we will never have an experience like this.

We had a three-night stay at Whalesong Hotel & Spa as a family. The GM, Petrus was extremely hospitable and attentive. The breakfast was scrumptious (in spite of loadshedding interruptions) and the view from the restaurant over the bay is spectacular. This hotel is a great base to explore the surrounding area with plenty to see and do. We will be back.
