Nestled in the spruce forest of Palmer, Alaska, a hand-scribed log cabin steams up the arctic sky with its cozy fireplace and warm hot chocolate. After a long day of heli-skiing and moose sightings, guests hunker down for an evening in the great room of Alaska Knotty Pines B&B. This hand-scribed wood lodge, with its mahogany doors and redwood details, is a place where friends and families gather beneath the wonder of the Northern Lights. With 20,000 square feet of lawn and deck space, Knotty Pines welcomes large groups to celebrate and congregate without urban distractions -- an opportunity to truly enjoy the presence of loved ones and nature. Return to the great outdoors when you book a stay at this true Alaskan escape.
I guess doing things remotely is the new way of life. This lovely B&B is no different. The owner texts you a code allowing you to enter the building and your room. The refrigerator is filled with food for guests to cook their own breakfast, which was a turn-off. One of the nice things about B&Bs is the interaction between guests and owners. The Caribou Suite is an excellent room, but some rooms have a shared bath. Inquire about that before booking a room. The building itself is very comfortable. It is pretty remote, so have a good GPS.

Like the title says the most beautiful cottage we ever stayed at. Unfortunately we did not see the Northern Lights or any wildlife during our visit otherwise a perfect 10! Cool your own breakfast but kitchen is well stocked. Can highly recommend it.

Alaska Knotty Pine B&B was a wonderful place to start our Alaska adventure. Ideally located to lots of activities, the B&B was a great respite to return to after a busy day. The room was comfortable. The hosts had a well-appointed kitchen that guests could use to make breakfast.

Clean. Comfortable bed . Owner left us alone (I didn’t feel I was being supervised) . Peaceful and quiet surrounding. The bed was a double so was tight for two of us. Private bath but had to go out in the hallway to use it Refrigerator was well stocked but I had to prepare my own breakfast. There were a lot of stairs Ample parking. Wifi worked ok.

While it is a little ways out from town, this B&B is spacious and lovely. We stayed mid-week in July and almost had the place to ourselves. The breakfast items were great and we had everything we need to fix it. I highly recommend the family suite.

I would come back in a heartbeat. The house is beautiful, the rooms have great blackout curtains, and they make it so that if you forget anything, they have extras on hand. It's nice and secluded, with the gorgeous Alaskan mountains in view.

Wow, we had no idea how luxurious this stop would be. The quality of the construction is amazing. Rooms had luxurious details, see photo of bath in one of the rooms! Large beautiful living room with lots of couches. Owner is super responsive and friendly without being intrusive. Beautiful grounds. Front and back porches. Great quiet location yet so close to Reindeer Farm, Musk Ox Farm and restaurants in Palmer. We were sad to only spend one night here. It would be great for gathering of larger groups.
