The view from Aitutaki Seaside is the best on the Island. We scootered around the whole island at different times of the day and evening and Aitutaki Seaside view was the best. The beach is fantastic and the lagoon is wonderful at low and high tides. Walk straight out of your lodge, across the beach, into the lagoon and see fish swimming around the coral, snorkle at high tide and walk around at low tide. Grab one of the complimentary kayaks and paddle out around the lagoon, jump out and snorkle anywhere in the lagoon to see fish, starfish, coral etc. Just as beautiful as taking a trip out to the motus. Being on the Western side the sunsets are marvellous. We stayed 13 nights and the sunset was different every night. The manager, Tearoa, was extremely helpful from the time we booked until we flew out. Airport pickup and dropoff, arranging scooter hire at a great price, explaining how things work. Clear and quick communication when I had questions. She took us to the local shops when we arrived so that we could get basic supplies. Being on the West side of the island, the lodge is conveniently located to go to every part of the island. Nothing is far away but I recommend scooter or car hire. The kitchen has basic cooking utensils which is all we needed.

We loved staying in this self contained unit. It was right on the lagoon and short walking distance to great snorkeling spots. The unit had everything we needed to cook our own meals and to BBQ on the beach. It was 5 min- 15 min scooter ride from all the cafes/ restaurants we wanted to go to. Tearoa was our host and she was fabulous from picking us up from the airport, organising a scooter, taking us to the shops to sort our food and then returning us to the airport after our five day stay. We were even given beautiful lei's on arrival and departure. The only down side was the bed was very very soft so I didn't find it very comfortable. It would also have been nice but not necessary to have somewhere to hand our clothes rather than keeping them in the suitcase.

A lovely spot right on the beachfront. 3 self contained units on the lagoon, very private, sunny and perfect view for the sunset. Everything you need is in the units to be self sufficient. Snorkeling was superb down the beach, about 3 min walk, towards the airport. A lovely relaxing place to be.

Absolutely paradise. T was so helpful, she greeted us at the airport, showed us around, and even organised scooters for us when our scooter company never showed up. She is absolutely amazing. Accommodation is clean and has everything you need for a relaxed holiday. The lagoon directly out front was nice and we enjoyed snorkelling and kayaking.

Nothing short of paradise. The small number of villas made it feel very secluded and quiet. Perfect beach set up right at your doorstep. Accomodation was clean, tidy and well looked after. The manager was lovely, very welcoming and a pleasure to share a chat. We will definitely be back!!!!

The property is very close to the airport so the ride was short. The owner’s wife Raro (roll the R’s)met as at the airport and drove us. We had asked for rental scooters ahead of time so she drove us first to the scooter rental then we followed her on our scooters to the property (make sure the headlight works on your scooter, you need it after sundown). The Seaside Lodges are 3 bungalows on stilts on the beach on the NorthWest coast. They are very nice bungalows that look relatively new. The covered deck has a table & chairs. Inside you basically have a square with the back right corner walled off to house the full restroom. The kitchen, bedroom and living area are all open in the remaining “L” shaped space. The kitchen was fully appointed, plenty of dishes, utensils and pots & pans. There was air conditioning which was nice. We really needed it – it seemed much warmer here than Rarotonga. Each bungalow is supplied with a kayak and paddles although there is only one for two people, the other two were solo kayaks. Raro is a delightful host, she drove us to the large grocery store in town to do our initial stock-up on food and water. Take advantage of this because it’s hard to carry many groceries on a scooter. Raro does not stay on the property but she visits once in awhile. She and her husband also own the Internet Café/Bar down the road (5 minute scooter ride) where you can go and ask that she be called if you need anything. We did this twice and she was very responsive. We stayed 5 nights and accordingly received a complimentary lagoon cruise and island night dinner. We loved the lagoon cruise but we skipped the island night dinner because it was on our last night and we wanted to stay in the bungalow on the beach. Raro didn’t like that we’d be missing such a treat so she made us a dinner of home cooked fish and mashed potatoes. It was amazingly good! The bungalows were clean and very comfortable. Towels and beach towels are supplied. Raro bought two bars of soap for us but we needed our own shampoo. The kitchen had dish soap and salt & pepper but we had to buy our own sugar. I would have prefered to take some sugar packs rather than buy a large bag at the store. Raro advised us to avoid the water so we spent a good deal on bottled water, about $10 - $12 NZD per day. The Lodges are on a section of beach that is quite nice but shallow near shore - you need to wade or kayak out a number of yards to find deeper water (4 to 5 feet maximum). Snorkeling was fun but not a whole lot to see - worth a trip or two to see the blue starfish! We could walk on the beach for a long distance and not see anyone - be prepared to be pretty much on your own here. Paradise for some, might be boring for others. I would stay at the SeaSide Lodges again without hesitation, they looked nicer than most other accomodations on the island.

A week of total bliss at Aitutaki Seaside Lodges, situated directly on the beach, with nothing between you and the stunning Lagoon. The three bungalows comprising of a comfortably sized open-plan bedroom, lounge, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom with sliding doors to a large terrace makes for the perfect accommodation on the Island. The small resort also has a complementary laundry for the sole use of the three bungalows, outside grill area and ample parking. Unfortunately no Wi-Fi, but you can get 500 MB from the local Post for only NZ$ 25 for a week. The resort is situated a little bit away from the other resorts and one almost has the feeling of being alone on the island. However, a short drive to many Restaurants and town is within easy reach. The better swimming and snorkelling beaches are on the other side of the island but for that small inconvenience you have the most stunning sunsets from the terrace. Emma and Miles, the managers are very helpful and friendly and always only a telephone call away in case you need them. I can highly recommend Aitutaki Seaside Lodges to anyone spending some time on the Island.

Situated away from other resorts on an almost private beach, comfortable bungalows, spotlessly clean and with everything working: This is Aitutaki Seaside Lodges.
Emma and Miles are in charge of the place and aldready the briefing on arrival was second to none. The expert advice on all facets of Aitutaki was brilliant and helped us to get the best out of our week in the Island.
